Chapter 930 - : Was He Not as Young as Wei Zhiqian?

Chapter 930: Was He Not as Young as Wei Zhiqian?

It was as if only by calling Wei Zhiqian Uncle could she show off that she was a Wei family member.

Wei Zhiqian’s subordinate immediately took out something that looked like a badge and showed it to Wei Keli.

“This is our unique symbol. Mr. Wei should recognize it,” said the person.

Wei Keli pursed his lips.

This was indeed the logo of the Wei family.

It was the unique symbol that had been in the hands of all previous clan masters.

However, Wei Zhiqian was not the clan master yet.

Logically speaking, these people should be under Wei Mingwen.

However, Wei Mingwen had unexpectedly handed authority over these people to Wei Zhiqian in advance.

Moreover, these people had always only acknowledged the clan master.

Even though Wei Zhiqian was the next clan master, that was all he could claim to be before Wei Mingwen retired.

These people were actually willing to listen to Wei Zhiqian’s instructions?

Wei Keli couldn’t help but think about the difference in the way these people addressed Wei Zhiqian and him.

For Wei Zhiqian, it was Young Master Wei.

For him, it was Mr. Wei.

What?

Was he not as young as Wei Zhiqian?

He was more worthy of the word “Young” than Wei Zhiqian!

“If you still don’t believe me, I can give Young Master Wei a call and let him tell you personally.” The person didn’t wait for Wei Keli to reply before taking out his phone and dialing Wei Zhiqian’s number.

Wei Zhiqian received the call. After listening to his subordinate’s explanation, he said, “Put it on speaker.”

The other party turned on the speaker and Wei Zhiqian said, “It’s me.”

“Uncle.” Wei Keli recognized Wei Zhiqian’s voice.

“You believe it now?” Wei Zhiqian retorted. “If so, then come back with them.”

“Uncle, what happened?” Wei Keli suddenly had a bad feeling about this.

Ever since Wei Zhiqian got together with Tan Mo, his attitude towards him had become colder.

However, Wei Keli could still hear a difference.

Now, Wei Zhiqian’s attitude made him sense danger.

“You don’t even know what you’ve done?” Wei Zhiqian said frostily, “Bring him back. If necessary, you can use force. You don’t have to show him any courtesy.”

Wei Zhiqian didn’t speak further to Wei Keli and hung up.

Wei Keli hurriedly started to think.

He had done too many things.

Wei Zhiqian didn’t even say what it was, but it was enough to make him feel guilty.

So much so that he couldn’t figure out why Wei Zhiqian had sent people to arrest him.

“We’re in public. We don’t want to make a scene,” Wei Zhiqian’s subordinate said. “Please come with us.”

The other man didn’t say anything. He removed the car keys directly from Wei Keli’s pocket.

“What are you doing?!” Wei Keli said angrily.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Wei,” the man said. “We’re following orders.”

After the man seized the car keys, he retrieved Wei Keli’s car and drove away in it.

Wei Keli and Yuan Keqing were taken to the parking lot by the others.

Just as Wei Zhiqian’s men reminded them, there were a lot of people at the exit of the movie theater.

If they didn’t cooperate and argued, or even started a fight, it would be ugly and embarrassing.

Wei Keli also knew that he couldn’t hide from Wei Zhiqian forever.

Now, he had no choice but to follow these people.

Yuan Keqing followed Wei Keli. After he got into the car, she was about to get in as well.

However, she was stopped. “Miss Yuan, you are in another car.”

“Why can’t we be in the same car?” Yuan Keqing was instantly unhappy.

However, the person merely smiled and did not say anything.

Another two people forcefully brought Yuan Keqing into a separate car.

They let her sit in the middle of the backseat.

They then sat on either side of her, keeping a close watch over her in the middle seat.

Yuan Keqing felt that it was akin to watching a movie scene of a prisoner being escorted away.

As for Wei Keli, he suffered the same treatment.

“The passenger seat clearly is available, can’t one of you go over?” Wei Keli asked with annoyance.

No matter what he said, the others in the car acted as though they didn’t hear him.

They didn’t reply.

“Are you mute? Or deaf? Can’t you hear what I’m saying?” Wei Keli ranted.

Even so, no one in the car spoke.

“You don’t intend to answer me, is that it?!” Wei Keli said again.

The three people in the car did not respond.

Why ask when the answer was obvious?

At the ground floor of Wei Keli’s house, Wei Zhiqian ordered his men to keep an eye on Wei Mingxiao and Wei Zhijian and their spouses and forbid them from calling Wei Keli.

They had Wei Keli under control now, and weren’t afraid that he would escape or destroy the evidence.

However, Wei Zhiqian still exercised caution and did not allow Wei Keli the opportunity to be aware of the reason in advance.

As expected, Li Xiangrong was planning to call Wei Keli and inform him so that he would be mentally prepared.

If Wei Keli really did do it, he would think of a way to get himself out somehow.

There was not much time left; he might not be able to think of anything useful.

But it was still much better than being a sitting duck and not trying at all.

What if he really could come up with some ideas?

However, when Li Xiangrong took out her phone, she realized that there was no signal on it.

She frowned and tried moving in several directions, but there was still no signal.

“Zhijian, is there any signal on your phone?” Li Xiangrong asked.

Upon hearing that, Wei Zhijian took out his phone to check, but there really was no signal. “Strange, there shouldn’t be no signal here.”

Li Xiangrong held her phone and looked down at it while walking in another direction, hoping to find the signal.

However, she wouldn’t walk too far.

Nevertheless, she found that no matter where she headed, she couldn’t find any signal.

Li Xiangrong went back and told Wei Zhijian about this.

Wei Zhijian also walked in a few different directions. When he came back, he also frowned and said, “Indeed. It’s really odd.”

“Go and ask your parents,” Li Xiangrong said.

Therefore, the two went to look for Wei Mingxiao and Sheng Yilan.

Both of them looked at their cell phones and found that there was no signal.

“It’s really unusual. It shouldn’t be like this here,” Sheng Yilan said with knitted brows.

Wei Mingxiao looked up and suddenly found that there were four subordinates of Wei Zhiqian standing around them.

“Why are you all here?” Wei Mingxiao found it strange.

“It was Young Master Wei’s order,” the man said.

“He asked you to treat us like criminals?” Sheng Yilan said with displeasure.

“It was Young Master Wei who asked us to follow closely behind you,” the man said. “It is also to help prove that you have nothing to do with this matter and that no one tampered with the evidence. Otherwise, if there is a problem with any of the evidence, there will not be anyone to testify for you, and it would not be good if you were wronged.”

Wei Mingxiao sneered.

What a nice way to put it.

To put it bluntly, wasn’t it just to keep tabs on them in case they tampered with the evidence?

However, they couldn’t even enter the building now, so how could they tamper with it?

Wei Mingxiao immediately reacted, “Are you not allowing us to make any calls because you’re trying to keep an eye on us?”
