Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 796 - Visiting The Plantation

The next morning, Yvonne was accompanied by her father and uncle to the Plantation while the rest stayed back at home.

This time, they used the main street which took them longer to get to the plantation, unlike the last time Yvonne had been here.

Back then, she and her brothers had ridden on horses, passing through the shortcut which was also where they had first met Jax who had tried to scam them.

Thinking of the past, Yvonne's lips curved into a smile and before she knew it they had already arrived at their destination.

In the past, the Plantation was ridden with thugs who tried to attack and ransack the place which was a bountiful factory of the Valente family.

However, it had been a while since that problem had been solved and no one dared to openly attack the Plantation any longer.

Thus the two men alighted from the carriage and guided the little girl into the Plantation which was now the factory solely under CLOVER's authority.

Yvonne scanned the area as they walked along and found that many things had been changed in the years that she had not come to visit.

She often gained timely updates from her uncle who was overseeing the Hagen family's operations so she had not felt the need to make a personal visit until now.

She trusted both her uncle and the Hagen family which let her focus on other things as she knew that they would be doing their best in their own way.

It was only for the sake of the company's expansion that she had arrived here on this day.

When they entered the Plantation, they found the three men of the Hagen family waiting outside to greet them.

These were the three men that had been present for the negotiations before the contract between them had been formed.

Tim, the oldest here, was the head of the family and also the one who had spearheaded the entire operation as he was most enthusiastic about making soaps, a skill he had learned from his father.

The man standing next to him was his son, Leo who, though had no interest in this skill passed down through generations, had a knack for management and accounting.

After learning about it, Yvonne had put him in charge of managing the money flow with the help of the Viscount who came by every few weeks to check upon them.

Finally was the younger brother of the Hagen family, Joe who, like his elder brother, was also interested in his family's traditions.

The three men had done their best in whatever way they could to help CLOVER reach the position it was at and also to avenge the humiliation they had faced thanks to the scheming tactics of Earl Blaise.

Yvonne knew that she would not have to work too hard to convince them about the latest plan she had for CLOVER since that would only help them go against Earl Blaise further.

The Plantation was lively as new employees had been brought in after CLOVER began mass-producing their products a while ago.

This place had its own dormitories so those who worked here could stay there.

However, the Hagen family knew that their Boss, Miss Yvonne, did not wish to expose her true identity to these employees.

Therefore, they brought the three nobles to the office where Leo worked on the accounting of the company and this was also where the ledgers of the business were maintained.

Yvonne nodded in approval of the meticulously filed ledgers that Leo brought out and placed before her as soon as they had entered this room.

The room was large enough to accommodate them all but there weren't sufficient seats present.

Therefore, only Yvonne, Earl Rutherford, and Viscount Marcus were seated on the couch while the elder of the Hagen family was seated before them on the chair that his son, Leo, often used.

Leo and Joe remained standing behind their patriarch but they did not feel indignant about it in any way.

The Viscount had already gone through the ledgers and even reported about it to his niece.

However, the Earl decided to look into them while his daughter would go over the reason she had come here today.

Yvonne did not stop him from doing so and only turned her attention to the Hagen family members.

"Don't you think it is time for us to take the next step for CLOVER?" She inquired with a subtle smile that brought confusion to their faces.

The little girl did not go around in circles but stated right away that she had decided to bring CLOVER into the noble market now that they had already dominated the commoners' market.

This news caused their eyes to brighten as this was an old dream of their father's but had never dared to do so as they were mere commoners.

However, many things that they had thought to be impossible in the past had come true after they had formed a partnership with this Young Miss.

Therefore, they did not doubt her when she had proposed to achieve this unthinkable task and promised to do everything in their power to ensure that CLOVER was a grand success in the noble market as well.

"I want to see how you have been using the research fund." She announced because that was where she had put most of her hopes on.

From her uncle, she had learned that the Hagen family elder was focusing on the research while his younger brother was overseeing the newer employees.

The fund she had set aside for Tim was to help him research and formulate newer compositions of soaps for the future.

He had been requesting the Viscount to find him strange ingredients using this research fund so Yvonne wished to know if he had succeeded in his trials by now.

The old man was energetic as he led them to a different area of the Plantation that was not populated in the least bit.

This was his personal space and no one was allowed to enter this area without his permission.

He had done so to maintain the secrecy of his progress and Yvonne was impressed with his forethought.

The employees who had been brought in to work for CLOVER were trustworthy but he did not wish to take any chances, considering that his own sibling had betrayed him in the past and sold their family secret to Earl Blaise.

Therefore, the Elder was cautious and Yvonne appreciated his attempt to safeguard what he had been up to until now.

As the group entered his personal research space, the little girl's eyes lit up when the sweet aromas wafted into her nostrils.

Even Rutherford could not deny that he was curious to know what these scents were.

The old man who had noticed their intrigued appearances did not delay and hurried to introduce the result of his hard work for the last few years, one by one.

While some were mediocre in Yvonne's eyes, there were quite a few which had attracted her attention.

"CLOVER might be able to enter the noble market sooner than expected." She announced while pointing at the samples which she thought would be perfect for the superior tastes of the noblemen in their Kingdom.

Leo noted down the ones she had pointed at for his father and the old man could not conceal his joy that she had found his hard work to be worthy of the noble market.

Yvonne did not forget to give him a few more instructions before turning towards Leo.

"Make sure that you have enough products for the next trip of Ocular Caravans." She revealed that they would soon have to begin their distribution once again.

Leo nodded and disclosed that they had not stopped production even during the Lockdown so they had sufficient supplies for the moment and could begin distribution whenever she was ready.

Pleased with this answer, she nodded and glanced at her Uncle who added that he would coordinate with Ocular's men when they enter his fief later on.

With this, Yvonne had completed her task for the day without any difficulties and smiled while thinking of the profits she could make through this new venture.

She wasn't the only one who felt this way as the elder of the Hagen family grinned like a child when he saw the calculative smile on her face, knowing that she would be able to accomplish everything she had stated earlier.
