Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 503 - Her Suggestion

"So you saw it in a dream that I will die?" Marquess Samed questioned for the seventh time.

In response, the little girl clenched her jaw and gave him a quick nod.

Earlier, Yvonne had tried her best to be vague in her words while begging him to not travel with his sister and nephew.

However, the stubborn and also extremely nosy young man had refused to promise her anything unless she gave him a proper reason.

{It doesn't matter if I trust you or not, I want to hear what is making you so worried!}

Her tutor had insisted that she spill the beans if she wanted him to be obedient and not continue with the travel plans that he had made for the summer.

Therefore, she was left with no other choice but to reveal the contents of her dream.

She made sure to not mention the discrepancies between her current life and the dream that she had seen.

After all, Yvonne in her dream was not too close to her brother and she was Princess Felicia's playmate being taught solely by Governess Bloom.

However, in the present scenario, she and Howard were joined at the hip most of the time, the Marquess was her tutor instead, and she had never met the Princess in her life.

Keeping these details aside, she only mentioned the necessary details needed to convince him.

She revealed that in her dream, she had seen that the Marquess along with the Duchess and Taylor would leave the Capital soon but would never be able to return.

All she saw was a letter that announced their deaths but that was enough to cause her to be wary and listless.

Once she was done explaining the dream she had seen, she mentioned that she had no clue about where they would be traveling nor about the exact timeline of their deaths in that dream.

All she knew was that the three were together when the scary incident took place.

When she was done, all Marquess Samed could utter was the query he had been repeating for over seven times now.

'All you saw was a letter that said we died…' He was surprised that his usually clever pupil was behaving this way and all for the sake of a dream which wasn't even real.

Yvonne did not care whether he took her for a fool for what she had done, she just needed to prevent what had taken place in her dream from occurring in reality.

Therefore, she looked up and stared at him in an attempt to figure out what his thoughts might be.

While she could not see any mockery on his face, she also did not find any traces of belief written over it.

"You do not have to believe in what I saw…" She muttered, trying to convince him through another method.

"But could you at least delay your plans for a while longer?" She pouted and blinked her misty eyes at him.

Her pale face, her puffed-up eyes, and her dull appearance today only made her look more pitiful in his eyes and he could not help but sigh in response.

Rubbing his forehead, he mulled over what she had just suggested and whether this was possible to achieve right now.

"Will that make you feel better? If we delay our trip?" Marquess Samed questioned to confirm that she would be alright after he implemented this change in their plans.

He surely did not give too much thought to her dream, which to him was nothing more than the nightmare of a young child, scary but fleeting.

But if accepting her suggestion would give his unnerved pupil some sort of comfort and peace of mind then as her tutor, he was willing to do at least that much for her.

Also, while he was not so confident in the credibility of her dream, the same could not be said about the rest of the people here.

'Brother-in-law will kill me if he finds out that I dragged Sister along even after hearing about this ominous dream.' He shuddered at the thought of the obsessive Duke who loved his wife dearly.

Not to mention that his sister would also be uneasy and hesitant to travel if she knew about the little girl's dream.

Therefore, he wondered if pushing back the date of their trip was the best thing to do for now.

It would make Yvonne feel better, she would stop worrying and he would be saved from the wrath that his brother-in-law might pour out on him if word about this got out.

Hearing him questioning how she would feel if he were to delay the trip, the little girl gave an immediate nod in approval.

"I would feel much better if you would do that!" She exclaimed, finally bringing back some color to her pale face.

'If he just waits for a month then the Plague will be officially announced and he won't get a chance to travel even if he wants to!' She cheered as her goal would be achieved either way.

In less than a month, the first case of the plague would be reported.

Once the plague spreads, thanks to her suggestions to the King, all travel between fiefs would be restricted.

If she could manage to stop Marquess Samed and the others from traveling right now then they would not have any chance of doing so once the 'lockdown' would begin.

This was the other plan she had come up with just earlier when she noticed that the Marquess wasn't too convinced with her dream.

Even if he thinks that she was being wilful and throwing a tantrum to hinder their plans, she did not mind as she was doing this to save their lives.

'It will be enough if I can stop them from traveling right now.' She smiled ear to ear as that was all she needed to do for now as the King would do the rest for her.

Sitting on his Throne in the Palace, King Ophire sneezed thrice and shivered profusely at that very moment.

'Who is thinking about me?' He wondered before returning to the files he had been reading earlier.

Back inside Marquess Samed's room in the Tanner mansion,

"Fine. If that makes you happy then we will cancel our plans for now." The man with silver hair gave her his word.

She seemed so distraught earlier and now she was beaming with joy.

This sudden change in her was so apparent that he did not know whether to laugh or cry.

The child he often called his prized pupil was being affected by a dream and he did not know how to react to this.

Her emotions shifted from sadness to joy soon after he promised to delay the trip, proving that she had truly been bothered by this dream.

"Dreams are supposed to be your happy place so what kind of dreams are you seeing?" He chided her with a helpless look on his face.

"I cannot control my dreams, Marquess." The little girl retorted, dissatisfied that she was receiving a scolding for something which she had no hold over.

'At least she's energetic enough to argue with me.' The tutor sighed as she was beginning to look better with each second now.

On the other hand, Yvonne had completed the task that had been on her mind since last night.

Her body, which had been up since the moment she woke up from her dream, was finally at its limit.

Smiling that she had succeeded in stopping the three from traveling which might lead them to their death, the little girl's body gave in to her exhaustion at last.

Marquess Samed's eyes widened when he saw her body swaying before she began to collapse sideways.

Before her head could hit the cushioned couch, the tutor had rushed towards her.

For the first time in his life, the young Marquess had carried a child in his arms and it happened to be his prized pupil.

"You were so worried about us that you drove your little body to exhaustion?" He questioned in a soft voice because the child in his arms was letting out snores right now, already fast asleep.

His face softened when he recalled how troubled she appeared while conversing with him.

However, once he promised that he would heed her words, she was so relieved that she even lost consciousness.

Shaking his head, he smiled while securely holding the sleeping child in his arms.

Yet in the next second his body stiffened when a certain thought entered his mind.

'How should I explain this to that scary man now?' He gulped in fear of the Earl who might shred him into pieces after seeing his daughter's unconscious state.
