This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 385 - Invincible among All within the Same Level

Chapter 385: Invincible among All within the Same Level

Lu Xuan never thought highly of the eagle king at all. Seeing how that eagle king’s eyes were filled with sorrow and anguish, one could easily see that he would have rather just died on the spot instead.

The eagle king was a being unlike any other, yet he was still rendered utterly helpless before Lu Xuan.

“How about it? Hand over the Tree of Enlightenment and I’d let you live. Refuse, and you’ll die right where you stand,” Lu Xuan said calmly.

“You’ve thoroughly got on my nerves, Lu Xuan!”

That man clad in white glared at Lu Xuan.

“One of us shall fall here today!”

He was not intimidated by what Lu Xuan said, making it apparent that he still had tricks up his sleeve.

Despite all that unbelievably terrifying power that Lu Xuan had shown off, the man clad in white was still not intimidated by him.

A pair of green wings materialized instantly right behind his back.

That green wings had a wingspan measuring over 30 meters in length. The wings were covered with complex runes and talismans, looking extremely harrowing.

“Now die by my Wings of Wind. I am the one who is invincible in my current level!”

That man clad in white laughed out loud.

He was nowhere to be seen almost immediately, disappearing into thin air like a gust of wind.

However, he then appeared right in front of Lu Xuan.

The speed was so fast that it left a trail of afterimages. Truth to be told, he was already in a blur when Lu Xuan was still able to see that man moments before, as he had disappeared from where he was.

Wings of Wind was a very special power, even when considered among that of the demons. It was a skill that granted the user the ability to move at blinding speeds when mastered.

The skill was potent that its user could actually travel somewhat faster than even the eagle king.

What made it even eerier was that when someone became able to travel at extreme speeds, a very loud sonic boom would result as they move due to having broken the sound barrier.

That was what happened with lightning and thunder, with the observer being able to see the flashes of lightning in the sky moments before the rumble of thunder rang out.

What made the Wings of Wind skill so eerie was that despite the extreme speeds afforded to its user, there was no rumble from breaking the sound barrier heard. Thus, nobody could tell exactly when the skill was used. Simply put, there was simply no way of telling when the skill was used.

That man clad in white was able to claim that he was invincible when fighting anyone of the same level as him as long as he was armed only with that one skill. The claim of invincibility was true.

“I thought for a moment there that I would get to truly witness something invincible, but all I see are some tricks that resulted from mastering the early stages using powers of wind.”

Lu Xuan flashed a grin.

His vista was that of a true Celestial Lord, so he was definitely seeing things from a different perspective as common beings. Many of the powers seen in the world came in many forms, yet they were all derivations of basic laws and workings. It was just that those derivations somehow appeared either extremely powerful or eerie.

That applied to the Wings of Wind. It was a skill that made use of, and resulted from, the laws and workings of wind.

Lu Xuan speculated that the ancestor of the man clad in white managed to develop his understanding of the basic laws of the wind element early on, which led to him developing such power.

The power was then passed down through the bloodline, and anyone who was awakened to the bloodline would naturally be able to gain access to the skill.

To most common people, such a skill was considered unpredictable. To Lu Xuan, however, it was just some insignificant trick.

He had seen all kinds of wind elemental powers back in his past life, many of which were even 100 or even 1000 times more powerful than what was being used right before him. That Wings of Wind skill was nothing compared to those.

“What did you say?” That man clad in white was furious when he heard that, yet his attack was microseconds away from hitting Lu Xuan. It was an attack using a blade conjured from the air itself.

The common variant of such a blade of air that most conjured would be just about as powerful and grand as a huge hand conjured the same way.

Even then, the blade he conjured was of something completely different altogether. Even the strongest and most resilient of alloys would have had a hard time withstanding a hit from such a blade.

The blade was brought down onto the back of Lu Xuan’s head, which moved without making a sound the same way his Wings of Wind had been. It seemed as if Lu Xuan had no way of stopping it at all.

Just when he thought that Lu Xuan was unable to react in time when the blade came down, Lu Xuan instantly vanished from where he stood. The blade managed to cut into Lu Xuan’s body, but that was only an afterimage as opposed to a true body of flesh and blood.

That man was immediately left in a state of shock.

“It can’t be!”

He was moving at extremely high speeds, with a pair of terrifying eyes that enabled him to track things moving as fast as him. After all, only with unparalleled dynamic visual acuity would he manage to ensure that his attacks could land on his targets.

If his eyes couldn’t keep up with his speed of movement, he could have easily rammed into walls.

As such, no opponent had been able to escape his sight, no matter how well they could react.

However, Lu Xuan managed to disappear right before the man’s eyes while he was oblivious to what was happening.

Lu Xuan managed to appear right on top of him before he could process what just happened. Lu Xuan proceeded to stomp on him.

Boom!

That man clad in white was stomped on where he stood, instantly falling to the ocean below and leaving a crater on the surface of the water. Countless aquatic beings right below were immediately reduced to shreds as he bounced about on the water for a while before he could steady himself.

Pfft!

Blood spilled from that man’s mouth right away. He was unable to believe and never anticipated, that Lu Xuan was actually able to cause him serious injuries with just a single stomp.

“You’re still alive. Not bad. You’re indeed tougher than all the trash that came before you.”

Lu Xuan’s cold, unfeeling voice was heard. He did not hold that man clad in white in high regard as well.

At that moment, Lu Shanshan made her way to the battlefield and saw what just happened. All the other human cultivators around were able to see what happened as well. While they were nowhere near the battlefield, they nonetheless sensed the aftershock of that battle. Their impressive sight enabled them to see just how Lu Xuan managed to almost throw that man clad in white into the ocean with just a single stomp.

“Don’t get so cheeky just yet, Lu Xuan.”

That man clad in white said as he cleared off all the blood in his mouth.

He stood on the surface of the water as his form wavered alongside the waves underneath him. All of the injuries he had sustained were instantly healed.

That was some regenerative powers unlike any other.

Everyone who saw what just happened to him was left shocked. The fight between the two looked like a clash between gods. It was something that was completely beyond their wildest imaginations.

Everything seemed so bizarre: the extreme speeds that were shown when the two clashed, how Lu Xuan managed to stomp the man clad in white down to the ocean, the extraordinary regenerative powers that that man had demonstrated…

“This is my turf now. So long as there’s still seawater in this world, I shall never be defeated. You’ll never be able to kill me!”

That man clad in white flashed a grin. Intense ferocity was seen in his eyes as he directed his sharp gaze onto Lu Xuan.
