This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 338 - Shocking

Chapter 338: Shocking

Those people were all being taught a lesson and put in their place.

Everything was being recorded in the annals of the world’s history of cultivation in Japan.

It was just that the common folks remained oblivious to it all.

They were unable to stomach the fact that Huaxia was the more superior party.

The rise of Huaxia as a nation was said to be a financial miracle, but that was nonetheless developed over decades.

The gradual increase of recognition for being among the strongest was something fought for through sweat and blood.

However, things with the Huaxian cultivators were different.

The Japanese were unable to comprehend how the cultivators of Huaxia managed to always stay on top of them all the time. Meanwhile, the world presumably began to enter the era of cultivation.

They saw Huaxia’s superiority in that regard to be utterly ridiculous.

On the other hand, any cultivator from Japan who had looked into history remained silent regardless if they liked it or not. They only had one thing to say to those right-wing angry Japanese youths going on shouting matches on the internet.

You people sure are naïve.

So, you deem this to be unacceptable?

We actually had Liu Bowen to thank for severing the Dragon’s Vein. The Huaxians could’ve just been looming above us.

If it had not been for Liu Bowen’s actions, the Huaxian cultivators could have practically just stepped on us and demanding for our subservience.

Those Japanese cultivators believed that those who had not been through that era would never know just how terrifying things were back then.

They believed that they were fortunate to just have the Huaxians loom above their heads.

Japan was still too small when compared to Huaxia as a whole.

Everyone seemed to be at the same starting line when restoration of spirit qi began. There was hardly any difference.

While that was technically correct, it was still nonetheless the matter of one party running while the other was practically riding a rocket. In reality, things could not have been more different.

They could not even begin to compare.

Countless people were watching the battle live back in England.

Arthur was a very renowned figure in England. He was handsome and he was armed with the eight knightly virtues, which practically made him perfect. As such, he had a lot of fans, men and women alike.

Yet, that perfect idol of theirs ended up being cut down with a single swing of the sword. A huge commotion erupted all over the country after they were rendered dead quiet for quite some time.

“It seemed like no one would ever be able to take him out,” Some mumbled to themselves. They couldn’t imagine just who would have been able to take Lu Xuan on, given his unbelievably high level of combat prowess.

“He’s that legendary godlike being, right? I guess that’s how a god is supposed to be in whatever legends from whatever countries. That guy is the very definition of ‘invincible’,” Some on the dark web commented with conflicting feelings.

“Heh, seems like he’s having the time of his life, doesn’t it? He was actually able to survive being bombed by a nuke. Just who the hell in the world would be able to take him on, huh?”

The US would definitely take their revenge soon. The US is definitely not gonna just take this lying down!

Retaliation from the US would definitely shock the world!

Many booed and jeered. It was definitely not a good thing to see a being like that existing in the world.

Huaxia would be incredibly difficult to take on in the future with such a top-notch figure at the very helm.

No one even dared to imagine just what kind of retaliation Lu Xuan would face soon.

However, some were actually rather excited. They wondered just how the US was going to retaliate against Lu Xuan, who managed to survive being bombed by a nuclear missile.

If Lu Xuan were to survive such a retaliation attempt, they then wondered how would he return the favor.

In the eyes of many, there was no doubt that the resulting war would be the clash of a lifetime.

It was the conventionally known superpower against the best cultivator known to the public.

It was the very first time that secular forces were about to truly clash with that of cultivation.

Many also saw the upcoming clash to be one that would decide the fate of planet Earth from now on; it would decide whether the world would continue to be ruled by secular governments or the cultivators.

Lu Xuan rescinded his Dragonslayer as the world continued to linger in shock. He then said casually, “You Americans, feel free to take your revenge against me for wiping out the White House today. But, if you dare to do so, it would definitely cost you all more than just the White House.”

He hardly cared about the US’ intentions of taking revenge against him. The country was just too huge. It was not like he could actually eradicate the root of the problem by just getting rid of a bunch of people, by razing some sect or clan based in some mountain somewhere.

It was simply just unthinkable for him to slaughter the hundreds of thousands of Americans out there.

He then disappeared from the White House before long. All countries lost track of him shortly afterward; not even the satellites high above everyone’s heads were able to track him down.

Lu Xuan disappeared without a trace just like that.

While there was no doubt that he was still on Earth, no satellite was able to find where he was.

He truly just vanished into thin air.

The government authorities from all countries realized this not long afterward, wondering why they were not able to find him.

It was not like he learned how to become invisible. How did he manage to just disappear right where he was?

If he had learned to do so, he would be 100 times more threatening, maybe even 1000 times over.

Being a small target, Lu Xuan was extremely difficult to track, to begin with.

All of them wondered just how they were going to put him under surveillance if he were to be able to vanish into thin air just like that.

If he were to just come all the way to the White House, the Kremlin, or some vital seat of government in the future, they wondered who or what would have been able to stop him in his tracks.

As he currently was, Lu Xuan managed to completely put the world at his mercy, intimidating them all with his powers alone.

Back in the Celestial Master Taoist Sect in Longhu Mountain, Zhang Fashan’s cell phone rang. It was the Dragon on the other end.

“Good day, Chief Dragon,” Zhang Fashan chuckled as he greeted the other man.

The Dragon’s voice was heard from the other end as he said, “I’m calling today to inquire something, Master Zhang.”

“What is it?” Zhang Fashan asked with growing curiosity.

The Dragon paused for a bit before asking with a serious tone, “Some of the ministers in the Inner Palace would like to ask how a person could disappear from satellite surveillance just like that. Is there some kind of power or spell for it?”

Zhang Fashan pondered for a bit after hearing the question and knew right away what just happened. It was definitely something Lu Xuan pulled; he was the only one who would have been able to develop some abilities that would cause others to be so wary of him.

Zhang Fashan mulled over it for a bit before he continued, “According to my speculations, I’d say that it has nothing to do with him turning invisible or something. At the very least, no one would be able to do so as far as I know.”

“Then what do you think happened, Master Zhang?” The Dragon asked.

Zhang Fashan then elaborated, “While the satellites are capable of monitoring several places, it is not like they could survey the entire planet all at once. They would only be able to check out places where their cameras are pointed. If someone would be able to avoid being seen by those cameras, they would practically be invisible.”

The Dragon was completely baffled when he heard Zhang Fashan’s answer. “Avoiding the cameras?”

To be able to avoid being seen by the cameras meant having to know where the cameras were pointed at in the first place; that was the only way of knowing the area the cameras could pick up.

With the cameras being so high up in space, however, he found it impossible for anyone to be able to see that far away.

Is it possible that he developed some form of telescopic vision or clairvoyance?

The Dragon then recalled reading reports about Lu Xuan possessing some sort of skill or technique that had to do with his eyes.

“Is he actually able to see that far?” The Dragon asked further.

“He may not be able to directly see it, but he would be able to sense it nonetheless,” the old master then asserted.
