The Yandere System in the World of Cultivation

39 You shouldn't play with fire!

It was a taboo in many clans to form a relationship between a mortal and a cultivator, and this applied not only to large clans, but even to some small clans; it was too foolish to have a relationship that would obviously not last long.

A mortal is a mortal, with a relatively short lifespan no matter what efforts a person makes, all the same. At the end of the day the mortal will meet his or her demise much sooner compared to the cultivator.

Of course, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine those relationships for everyone, if a mortal and a cultivator had a relationship, but in the end, even the cultivator himself would suffer from that relationship, regardless of his cultivation base.

After the death of a loved one, he may fall to a heart demon that can cause him to lose not only his base of cultivation, but even his sanity. And because of such problems, many cultivators did not want to get involved with mortal people.

And Mu Bing Yun thought about it at this moment and chuckled in her heart at another of Victor’s blunders, of course she was so confident in her conviction that she didn’t even check Mikena’s cultivation level.

She turned around and noticed how angry and irritated the faces of many of the young men in her group were, especially the man in the center of the group, who was clearly their leader. Not only did Victor not respond to his words, but he was completely ignored, speaking only to Mu Bing Yun, and it was as if he didn’t exist at all.-.

For the first time in his life, he felt like he was just taken for nothing.

Crack! Crack!

His teeth gnashed with rage.

“Big brother calm down, we’ll have another chance for revenge!” – One of the young men in his group suddenly grabbed the man’s arm and moved closer to his ear and whispered:

“We can’t directly try to harm Victor since the Yang Clan is behind him, but what about the woman next to him? Ahem… You might enjoy it.” – Saying these words his expression didn’t change at all. It was clear that this was not the first time he had done such a thing.

Situ Nan, that was the name of the young man whom Victor insulted unknowingly.

He patted the man lightly for this wonderful idea and nodded his head in agreement.

Even though the whispering was rather quiet, because everyone in his group were not weak cultivators but geniuses of their respective clans, they heard his words perfectly well. If the women flashed a faint glimmer of contempt, the men were lustful.

Looking at the figure of Mikena it was clear that she was a very beautiful woman, she was on par with Mu Bing Yun, who was coveted by many, but because of the influence of the Mu Clan there were no lucky ones to try their luck but with Mikena having no support except Victor it was completely different.

Even though everyone heard these words, no one reacted at all, as if they didn’t care at all.

Except for one person and that person was Mu Bing Yun.

Unlike her friends, she clearly knew that Victor had changed recently; he was no longer the naive fool who would not fight back, now he would kill without a moment’s hesitation if someone became his enemy.

Of course, she would not have believed her own words if she had not seen Victor then in the street when he killed the bandits and far from being overwhelmed by killing for the first time, he smiled, as if it were an unusually fun show for him in which he only found amusement.

And now imagining what would happen if one of her group attempted to hurt his woman, Mu Bing Yun swallowed hard.

‘He’s going to massacre them!’ There was only one outcome that a situation like that warranted.

“Situ Nan, I advise you not to try to look for trouble with Victor otherwise…” Before she could warn about the consequences of playing with fire, she suddenly heard his loud voice, which seemed to echo throughout the site and there was not a single cultivator who would not have heard it.

“Victor, don’t forget to ask your woman how it feels to be in bed with me soon!” – After these words, silence enveloped the great square as everyone turned their gaze to Situ Nan and Victor.

Even Victor paid attention to his words and stopped.

Situ Nan initially did not want to cause problems with Victor right now at the sect selection, but after he ignored his words and treated him as if he was a nobody, he became very angry.

On top of it, after seeing Victor flirting lightly with Mikena, which made her blush, he became even more angry and, without thinking of the consequences, shouted at him the first words that came to his mind.

He did not know much about Victor and although they were the same age and both were born with a golden spoon in their mouths they were completely different. On one hand Victor spent his entire youth in pursuit of Mu Bing Yun completely forgetting about cultivation, on the other hand Situ Nan spent his youth in the company of young masters, who spent all their time on drinking and brothels.

He didn’t practice martial arts, cultivation, or anything useful to get stronger, instead he just had fun as a good-for-nothing leech that made the Situ Clan suffer all the time.

No longer pinning their hopes on him, the Situ Clan decided to give him a last chance, an ultimatum so to speak, join a sect where he could become a normal young master who dedicated his life to cultivation and the clan or be exiled from the clan, even though he was a young master, his antics could no longer be tolerated so they made this decision.

And he didn’t hesitate to choose to join a sect.

He met Mu Bing Yun as well as several other young masters and ladies of various clans and through this created a small group with tremendous fighting power. All was going well, until he met Victor.
