Su Ye picked up the black porcelain cup and slowly walked toward Hutton.

“Don’t… Don’t…” Hutton squirmed back in a hurry. He huddled against the corner of the wall and tried his hardest to kick with his legs. It was as if the ground had been frozen with a sheet of ice, and his legs constantly slipped on the surface.

Hamon was both angry and anxious when he saw the state of his son. However, he did not dare say anything.

What could he do now that even Senat had betrayed him without hesitation?

Su Ye placed the black porcelain cup onto the table and slowly extended his hand toward Hutton, who was in the corner of the room. He revealed a gentle smile as he said, “Remember what we said yesterday? We are friends, classmates, and partners, not enemies.”

Hutton’s fear receded slightly when he saw Su Ye’s kind expression. He asked, “Will you forgive me?”

“Of course, of course.” Su Ye’s smile became even more sincere.

Hutton hesitated for a moment, then slowly extended his hand. Su Ye pulled Hutton up for the second time and pulled him toward the edge of the table.

Su Ye extended his hand and adjusted Hutton’s long robe as he said with a gentle tone, “Look at yourself. You do not want to be a good man and insist on hurting me, only to become so haggard yourself. What for? Attend school properly, develop yourself properly. Won’t it all be okay if you become exceptional yourself? Why do you have to step on others to display your superiority? In my eyes, I think that you feel that you can never be exceptional. You think that you are trash and thus can only display yourself using a method like this.”

Hutton did not understand Su Ye at first, while Hamon’s expression tightened. He then saw Su Ye grab Hutton’s hair with his left hand, while his right hand was like a hammer. His right fist landed directly into Hutton’s nose, again and again.

Blood gushed out of Hutton’s nose like a waterfall.

Hutton first wailed in pain, then he was put into a half-comatose state after the beating. If not for the fact that Su Ye was pulling on his hair, he would have fallen onto the ground.

Hutton’s face looked like a piece of rotten pork.

Su Ye grabbed the black porcelain cup with his right hand and placed it under Hutton’s chin.

Blood that was mixed with tears flowed slowly into the cup.

Su Ye turned to look at Hamon and smiled. “Don’t be anxious. Let’s wait a while longer. After all, it was you who chose such a large cup.”

Hamon trembled as his soul shivered.

At this moment, he had the illusion that a demon was sucking on the blood of his son.

He did not believe that he could have such unprecedented fear toward a child.

Su Ye was smiling, but Hamon felt as though his world was sealed in ice.

“It’s flowing a little slowly. Your name is Senat, is it? Come help me.” Su Ye looked toward the Egyptian.

Senat was silent. He walked over quickly and shot three punches at Hutton’s nose, each one fiercer than the last. Su Ye almost lost grip of Hutton’s hair.

Gush…

Blood flowed from his nose once again.

Hutton let out two pathetic cries, then fainted for the second time.

Hamon clenched his teeth tightly. He wanted to skin Senat alive.

Su Ye said in frustration, “I wanted you to grab onto Hutton, not punch him.”

Senat froze for a moment and propped Hutton up in a hurry.

Kaerton was tickled by this scene. He turned his head and asked Hark, “This is the person that you beat in three seconds?”

“Two and a half seconds.” Hark thought for a moment, then gave a serious answer.

Senat’s expression sunk.

Hamon felt as though he had fallen into a cellar of ice.

Sometime later, Hutton opened his eyes in a daze. He had not seen clearly what was in front of him when he heard Su Ye’s voice.

“It stopped again.”

Then, Hutton’s vision turned black as he fainted while feeling confused and intense pain. He did not have the time to get angry.

A long time later, Su Ye finally placed the black porcelain cup full of blood on the table in front of Hamon.

“Uncle Hamon, this was what you asked for,” Su Ye said softly.

Hamon trembled. Su Ye’s voice was akin to the whispers of Hell.

Hamon looked at his pathetic son, then glanced at the blood in the cup that was mixed with snot and tears. He sat down abruptly, his gaze blank.

“Su Ye, I am sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. I should have restrained my child. I should have gotten him to treat his classmates well. I should have gotten him to learn how to be friendly with others…” Hamon was both angry and anxious when he spoke. There was even a streak of sadness in his tone.

“Fear and shame. The sources of weakness,” Kaerton said.

Su Ye gave the black porcelain cup a gentle push.

“You wanted it. Drink it.” Su Ye’s tone was alarmingly calm.

Hamon looked up at Su Ye, his eyes filled with disbelief.

This young man was like a demon.

“Drink it.” Su Ye still had that calm tone.

Kaerton suddenly sighed as he said, “Oh Hamon, I have heard about you. You are quite an intelligent person. Why would you be so stupid as to seek trouble with Su Ye? Even I do not have the courage.”

Hamon’s body shivered. He felt immense regret. He started to suspect that Su Ye was an illegitimate son of a great noble and had a terrifying background. Otherwise, Kaerton would not have said those words.

Senat had steady hands. He would not play with his dagger as if it were a butterfly otherwise. However, he could not control his trembling right hand at this moment.

Kaerton turned his head to look at Hark and said, “Look at how much he scared Hark. Hark does not even dare to ask for the magic short sword that he had lent Su Ye back.”

Hark shot an angry look toward Kaerton. He would not stop teasing him even at this moment.

Su Ye pretended not to hear Kaerton’s words. He told Hamon, “Are you waiting for someone to propose a toast to you, or are you waiting for an extra dish?”

Hamon clenched his teeth and grabbed the black porcelain cup. He closed his eyes and gulped its contents down in one breath.

He loosened his grip and the black porcelain cup fell onto the ground. He bent over and retched.

“Urgh…” Hamon felt as though countless rusty metal blocks were tumbling within his stomach.

Senat looked coldly at his old friend. He was ultimately a merchant, not a warrior.

Kaerton smiled only now. He asked, “Su Ye, what exactly happened?”

Su Ye told him everything that happened.

“Peyrusse? His name is identical to one of my friend’s children. But, are students of the Plato Academy nowadays so weak? There had been an arrogant noble student back in my day. He was heavily beaten by us, and the matter only passed when he admitted his mistakes in public. Though I did not expect you to be this cruel.”

Kaerton looked at Su Ye with interest. He had witnessed many bloody scenes, but the methods used by this 16-year-old child shocked him far more than the mountains of corpses he had seen.

Su Ye smiled and said, “I know how to treat my friends, as well as my enemies.”

“It is true that not many people can separate the two. How about we have a drink today?” Kaerton said.

An image of the full black porcelain cup surfaced in Su Ye’s mind. He said in frustration, “I do not like watered-down wine.”

“No one does. Get used to it,” Kaerton said.

Greeks thought that wine could make someone insane and influence their mind. Mixing wine with water was the rational and elegant way to drink it.

Su Ye turned to look at Hamon, then suddenly turned his head back and smiled at Kaerton.

“What?” Kaerton did not know what Su Ye was smiling about.

“He has better foresight than you.” Su Ye was still smiling.

“Yes,” Hark agreed.

Kaerton remembered that Su Ye told him about how Hamon was willing to give him 200 Gold Eagles as an investment. His expression sank, and he lowered his head in deliberation.
