The Wife of Hades

Chapter 96 - The Police Officer's Call

"Well. . . he may have. . ." The police officer looked down and his face turned slightly red, "erectile dysfunction."

An Luxia was very surprised to hear this as well, and she took a step back. Did she cause this? She did not really pay attention to where she was attacking, so she just punched and kicked him wherever. Were her attacks really that aggressive?

Mo Han also heard this from behind An Luxia, and he raised one eyebrow as a small smile appeared on his face.

An Luxia cleared his throat and took a step back, "Then if he is still unconscious, I will get going. Can you please help me ask him during the interrogation if someone else is behind this? I have a feeling that he was instructed to kidnap me by someone else. Please let me know."

The police officer nodded, "Yes, Mrs. An. We will definitely let you know. Have a good night."

An Luxia nodded and quickly walked away, not wanting to stay here. Although she knew that the man was at fault, she was certain that he would be furious if he heard of the news that he was. . .

Inside the car, An Luxia thought about the result of his injuries, and couldn't help but feel a little guilty. After all, that "body part" was indeed a man's life, especially for a disgusting man like him.

However, she quickly brushed those pitiful thoughts away. He deserved it. He was using his "body part" for bad and disgusting purposes, so he deserved what he received.

Mo Han glanced at her and immediately knew what she was thinking about, "He deserved it," he said, placing his hand over hers and grabbing onto it.

Although he hadn't said anything after the incident, he was very relieved that nothing had happened to his Xiaxia. If something had, he would definitely not leave the man to the police. He would make him suffer himself.

---

Li Yilan looked at her phone and frowned. Why was he not picking up her calls?!

These irresponsible people! She had given him the money and now he wasn't even responding to her calls!

Well, of course he wouldn't respond to Li Yilan's calls. What she doesn't know is that her "worker" is already rotting in a cell in prison by now.

Li Yilan called once again, but after a minute, still no one picked up. She frowned annoyedly and threw her phone onto the bed. Whatever! He probably succeeded.

---

An Luxia entered her bedroom feeling relieved once she stepped in, but it wasn't over yet. She entered the bathroom, untying her hair and starting to take her clothes off to take a shower since she felt extremely gross after being touched by that disgusting worm.

She narrowed her eyes as she stared at her reflection in the mirror, opening the sink and suddenly splashing her face with the good water.

Her innocence was almost taken away by her sister! Although An Luxia could not be certain whether Li Yilan was behind this or not, she could make a pretty good guess that it was Li Yilan.

After all, Li Yilan had just spoken trash about her in the interview, but there was no evidence to back her claims up. She probably needed some sort of evidence.

Plus, who else would do this to her? An Luxia clenched her fists together, stepping into the shower place and was just about to turn on the water when she suddenly heard her phone ring.

She stepped out, grabbing her phone and quickly taking the call since it was quite cold outside.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Mrs. An?" A male's voice spoke.

An Luxia looked at the phone number on the screen before replying, "Yes, who is this?"

"I am the police officer that was at the hospital earlier. Sorry for disturbing you this late but I got an answer for your question."

An Luxia forgot about what question she had asked and it took a moment for her to remember, "Oh, you did! Yes, what did he say?"

"He said that he was messaged by someone and does not know the person's full name. However, he did tell us that it is a young woman with the surname Li. Mrs. An, do you know anyone that might be the person behind it?"

An Luxia's grip on the phone tightened as her guesses were proven to be right. A young woman with the surname Li. Who else could it be?

"I -" An Luxia was about to tell him that she knew who it was, but she suddenly stopped herself. If she told him, then the police would definitely go and arrest Li Yilan to interrogate her. If the evidence isn't sufficient, then Li Yilan would be let out without any punishment. And, Li Yilan would know that her plan had failed and that An Luxia knew she was behind it.

That did not seem like a very good plan. . . An Luxia cleared her throat and said, "I can't really think of anyone yet. I will definitely let you know once I think of someone."

The police officer nodded, "Okay, no problem. Have a good night, Mrs. An."

"Good night."

She hung up the call and stepped into the shower, turning on the water, which was freezing cold at first for a few seconds.

Li Yilan. . . So it really is her. An Luxia had originally planned to let it go after seeing the interview this morning, because she knew the rumors would pass and she did not want to waste her time dealing with trash like her.

However, it seemed like Li Yilan truly had a death wish. She can't let Li Yilan keep doing whatever she wanted, or else she would get out of hand. She was already getting out of hand.

An Luxia stepped into the water and let the warmth overcome her body, from her head to her toes. Li Yilan. . . You were looking for this.

---

Li Yilan sat inside a large office room with two other people inside. They were talking to her and she seemed to be not focused as she was chewing gum and looking at her phone.

She finally looked up when her manager said something, and she smiled when she heard the popularity she was receiving from both the drama and the interview.

She was getting many deals for sponsorships and other opportunities now because of what had happened, and of course, with the fame comes money.

The manager started talking about the sponsorships and Li Yilan yawned before standing up, "Can we talk about this tomorrow? It's getting late, okay? Good night!"

Then, she walked out of the room ignoring the rest of her manager's words. After she was gone, her manager looked at her assistant, both in disbelief.

"What in the world just happened?! Who does she think she is?!"

---

At night, An Luxia laid flat on the bed with her eyes closed, waiting for Mo Han to get onto the bed as well. She felt the side of the bed go down, and then the blanket was lifted up, letting in the cold air.

In a few seconds, she was turned around and inside Mo Han's embrace. She took a deep breath, smelling in the unique fragrance from Mo Han and moved in closer to him.

"I'm sorry for finding you late," Mo Han said again.

An Luxia looked up, raising one eyebrow, the thoughts that were flying through her head disappearing right away when their eyes met, "You don't have to apologize. You weren't late. . . Plus, how did you even find me?"

Mo Han cleared his throat and lifted his hand up, placing it over An Luxia's eyes, "Go to sleep. It's getting late."

An Luxia stuck her tongue out unhappily, rolling her eyes before saying, "Good night."

The next day would be a good day.

---

Li Yilan blinked her eyes open, frowning as she was in a very bad mood. She looked at the alarm clock next to her bed and her frown deepened when she saw how early it was.

It was actually almost 10 in the morning already, but since she had no early classes today, she had wanted to sleep in and enjoy the life of fame.

She did not wake up naturally. A stupid phone call had woken her up. She sat up and frustratingly grabbed her phone, hanging up the call and powering her phone off before going to sleep again.

--- 1 hour later

Li Yilan woke up again in a much better mood this time, and she looked at the clock again - 10:36.

She reached for her phone, powering it on which took several seconds. When she opened it, her eyes practically fell out at what she saw.

21 missed calls?!

Who in the world was calling her this many times?! Were they crazy?

She looked and saw that it was her manager. This woman is crazy! Does her manager not know that she is sleeping?!

When she called her manager back, she quickly picked up, "Li Yilan, why didn't you pick up my calls?! I called you at least 20 times! What were you doing?"

Li Yilan twisted her nose up in distaste, very unhappy at her manager's attitude, "I was sleeping! Don't you know not to call me so early in the morning."

The manager was also getting sick of Li Yilan and her disgusting attitude. She was quite new to the entertainment manager field, but even so, Li Yilan was still respectful to her in the beginning.

However, after receiving some fame, Li Yilan was trying to ride on top of her now!

The manager did not have any patience, and she merely said, "You are in big trouble! Go see what happened this morning online and you will know why I was calling you."

Then, she hung up.
