The Wife of Hades

Chapter 68 - A Romantic Dinner Together

There was a ding as the elevator door opened, revealing two people who stood inside.

It was an old man and a young woman who wore a short and revealing red dress that barely covered up her chest and butt. The man had his arm wrapped around the woman's waist, gripping onto it tightly, and the sound of the woman's high-pitched laughter entered their ears as the elevator door slid open.

An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows immediately upon the sight, but she quickly looked up at Mo Han. She let out a silent breath of relief when she noticed that his eyes weren't on the sexy woman.

Phew! She couldn't let some seductive fox seduce her husband! Of course, she knew that even if there were a hundred attractive women in the room, a person like Mo Han would probably not even spare one of them a single glance.

The couple also noticed Mo Han and An Luxia as the two of them entered the elevator, making it more crowded than it was before.

However, the area in the elevator was very large and there was a lot of space. An Luxia and Mo Han stayed in the front of the elevator, keeping a feet's distance away from the couple.

The old man's eyes followed An Luxia as she entered, finally tearing away from her when the door closed.

As the elevator started going up, the man pulled the woman and himself closer to the front of the elevator space, getting closer to where Mo Han and An Luxia were. When they were very close, he silently lifted his hand up, carefully placing it onto the area right above An Luxia's bottom.

At once, An Luxia gasped as she whipped around, eyeing the man with disgust. Without even a second's wait, she lifted her arm up and swung it down, slapping the man right straight across the face.

The man obviously didn't expect for the young and cute-looking girl to have such a reaction, and he stumbled back and fell onto the elevator floor, the red finger markings clear on his rough skin.

The woman next to him gasped as Mo Han turned around, wondering what had happened.

"You disgusting old worm! How dare you!" An Luxia screamed, lifting her leg up to kick him but thinking better of it and stopping.

Mo Han frowned and gently pulled An Luxia closer to him, "What happened?"

"He put his disgusting hand onto my. . . my. . ." An Luxia's face turned slightly red as she didn't want to complete the sentence, but it was enough for Mo Han to understand.

At once, his face darkened as he bent down, pulling the man up by his suit collar, "Did you?"

The man was not scared, as he didn't have a simple background, "What is that woman talking about?! You stpuid b****, look at yourself! Why would I touch you?! Have some common sense, okay."

Mo Han's face turned even more dark at the man's words, and the cold atmosphere immediately spread inside the tiny elevator space.

---

Ding!

The elevator door opened and at once, the painful groaning sounds filled the floor as two people stepped out, walking arm in arm.

An Luxia had her chin held up high as she smiled and lifted her thumb up, grinning at the person next to her. Mo Han was still very mad as he squeezed out a faint smile in return.

"President Wu! Are you okay?! Oh my! President Wu!" The woman in the red dress that had been in the elevator ran over to the old man who was lying on the ground.

She bent down next to the man, who had stopped making any noise. Blood flowed out of his nose and mouth continuously, and the woman screamed in fear as she immediately ran out of the elevator, completely forgetting to even call the police.

An Luxia and Mo Han entered the restaurant that was situated on the top floor of the hotel, famous for its delicious dishes and breathtaking view.

As they walked in, An Luxia realized that the entire restaurant area was empty, which was quite weird since it was dinnertime.

A man immediately greeted them, "Mr. Mo, Mrs. Mo, welcome. Please follow me."

He led them over to the middle of the restaurant, where there was a lone table. Mo Han pulled the chair out for An Luxia before going to the other end of the table and sitting down himself.

The room was dimly lit with only candles in the darkness of the light, and there was a vase of beautiful red roses placed on the middle of the table.

With no other tables or chairs covering the view, An Luxia could see the entire city below them from all 360 degrees through the glass walls.

The city was still lit up even during the light, and it looked extremely breathtaking in the romantic environment.

"Why is there no one else here?" An Luxia whispered to Mo Han, not sure why she chose to whisper instead of talk in a normal tone and volume.

Mo Han smiled and whispered back, "I booked the entire restaurant for the next few hours."

An Luxia's mouth fell open, unable to imagine the cost that would be, "What?! Why?"

Mo Han scrunched his face together and replied coldly, "I don't like people. . ." Then, he added, "People besides you."

An Luxia chuckled softly and looked around, her stomach grumbling, creating a loud noise in the silence. Her face turned slightly red, but it wasn't very clear in the darkness.

Mo Han grinned, thinking it was cute as he looked over at the waiter standing nearby and nodded. The waiter walked away and a few seconds later, came back carrying two plates of food.

An Luxia's eyes immediately lit up, having always wanted to try the food in this restaurant after hearing many amazing things about it.

After the appetizer and then the main course, An Luxia was full and happy as she leaned back against the comfortable chair with a large smile on her face.

Mo Han slowly put down his fork as he stared at her for a long time before looking up at the waiter again and giving him a nod.

Two workers came over and took away the current plates on their table and then the waiter came back with two plates of cake.

An Luxia gasped when she saw the delicious looking strawberry cake and she licked her lips before immediately beginning to eat, looking up at Mo Han excitedly, "I love strawberry cake!"

Mo Han smiled, thinking, 'I know you do.'

The cake slice wasn't incredibly large, but it was perfect for her to get a good amount but not be too overwhelmed by the sweetness.

The soft cream seemed to melt inside her mouth as she ate bite after bite. Meanwhile, Mo Han didn't seem to eat a lot as he would take a bite occasionally. Most of the time, his eyes were on her.

When she was almost finished with the cake, she suddenly froze as she scrunched her face together.

"Ugh, what is that?" She blinked a few times painfully as she grabbed a napkin and spat out something that obviously wasn't cake.

Instead, it was hard.. Hard as a rock.
