The Wife of Hades

Chapter 107 - Marry You

The car stopped in front of a traffic light and Mo Han turned around to look at her, smiling as he said, "19 years ago, you said you would marry me when you grew up, and you did."

An Luxia's eyes widened slightly as she tried to think back to 19 years ago, but she did not remember anything of what Mo Han was talking about.

It was nighttime, and all the kids were returning to their rooms after a bedtime story in the adoption center.

Because all the kids were scared of Mo Han and no one liked An Luxia, in the end, the two of them were split into one room. Technically, this was not allowed in the center since boys were usually in one room and girls in the other.

However, the owner of the adoption center had agreed to let them stay in the same room together, and that was how they lived for a long time.

An Luxia followed her brother Yelin back to the room and the person in charge came around to close the lights in all of the rooms.

After the lights were closed, An Luxia and Mo Han both closed their eyes to fall asleep. However, none of them were asleep for a long time. Even though the room was silent, they both knew that neither of them had fallen asleep yet.

Suddenly, An Luxia pursed her lips out and said softly in the darkness, "Brother Yelin, can I sleep next to you tonight?"

Mo Han was much older than An Luxia at this time already, so he obviously knew that a boy should not sleep with a girl, even though they were kids. However, young little An Luxia did not know.

"Why?"

An Luxia frowned, opening her large round eyes as she sat up on the bed, "The bedtime story tonight was scary, wasn't it? I am scared the witch is going to come find me while I'm sleeping and take me away."

Mo Han also sat up and rubbed his eyes, smiling helplessly, "Don't worry, she won't. Witches aren't real."

"Yes, they are. Miss Lin told us about witches. Were you not listening?"

". . ." Mo Han did not know how to deal with the little girl, and he finally sighed and moved over slightly on the tiny space, "Okay, come over. I'm tired. Let's go to sleep."

An Luxia's eyes lit up as she jumped off the bed and ran over, climbing onto the bed again and laying down next to Mo Han.

She could not see very well in the darkness, but she could feel the warmth of the bed and could also smell the faint fragrant smell coming off of her brother Yelin's body.

After joining him, the two of them did not talk anymore and An Luxia slowly felt her eyelids get heavy as she slept.

Her body turned around as she was half asleep, and her small hand accidentally fell onto Mo Han's chest. He was not asleep yet, as it was quite hard to fall asleep with another person next to him.

He was used to sleeping alone.

He tried to move her hand off, but it almost seemed like her hand was glued onto him. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move it.

"Mm. . ." An Luxia moaned in displeasure as she furrowed her eyebrows together.

Mo Han looked at her and frowned slightly, "Yixin, you - What are you doing?"

An Luxia obviously did not hear him, as she continued to sleep. Mo Han was about to say it again and tell her to move her hand, when An Luxia suddenly mumbled something.

It was very soft, but since they were very close to each other and the room was completely silent, Mo Han heard every word of what she said.

"Brother Yelin. . . When I grow up, I will marry you."

Mo Han's face immediately turned as red as a tomato and his body froze completely, but no one else was in the dark room to tell.

His eyes darted around nervously as he did not say anything and he finally looked at An Luxia, who was sleeping soundly by now, her hand still on his chest.

He gulped and finally closed his eyes as well, staying in the same position as he slowly fell asleep, "Then hurry and grow up."

--- Present

After hearing his story, An Luxia tightly furrowed her eyebrows together.

"You're lying," she said bluntly.

Mo Han was slightly surprised at her reaction as he started the car and continued to drive, "I am not. You don't remember because you were almost asleep, but I remember clearly."

An Luxia frowned slightly and thought back, but could not recall any memory of saying those words, "Are you certain? I'm sure you're lying."

Mo Han chuckled softly, "Yes, I am."

An Luxia glanced at him suspiciously and didn't say anything. Maybe this was destiny. . .

They drove in silence for a while longer until they reached the bottom of the mountain. As the gate opened, they started driving upwards to their house.

The rest of the ride was in silence and An Luxia also didn't know why, but there seemed to be an edge of seriousness and coldness inside the car.

She glanced at the temperature inside the car and saw that it was normal. She pressed her lips together as she looked out the window at the greenery, waiting to finally return home.

They had spent quite a while at the An house so when they returned home it was past lunchtime already, and nearing dinner time.

The car finally arrived at the top of the mountain, and Mo Han parked the car in front of the house. Together, they entered the house and An Luxia wrapped her arm around Mo Han's elbow, who smiled but didn't say anything.

They entered the house and went back to their room. Due to the series of events that had happened the past few days, An Luxia had completely forgotten to upload.

Now that her story was very popular, and had become the most popular novel on the whole platform, many readers were waiting for her chapters. Luckily, because the story was based on her own life and events, it was quite easy to write.

This made her think sometimes. . . Was her life actually so interesting that it could become a story? A story that so many other people were interested in?

As she finished typing up a chapter, An Luxia yawned and closed her laptop, turning around and taking a long look at the bed. Just as she was gazing off at the bed, her mind wandering off, the door opened and Mo Han walked in.

One look at her and Mo Han asked, "Are you tired?"

An Luxia nodded and stood up.

"Come on, let's take a nap together." Mo Han walked over to the bed and lifted the blanket up. After changing into comfortable clothes, An Luxia laid down comfortably in Mo Han's embrace and quickly fell asleep.

With her inside his arms, Mo Han also closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

---

When An Luxia woke up again, the sky outside was dimming already, telling her that it was late into the afternoon. Her rumbling stomach also told her that it was time for dinner.

She opened her eyes and saw that she was still laying on the bed, but there was no one next to her. The night was silent, and with no one inside the room, An Luxia felt a chill run up her spine.

She sat up on the bed and got off, putting on her slippers as she walked out of the room. The entire mansion was quiet, like usual, with few people walking down the hallways.

She walked to Mo Han's office, guessing that he would probably be there.

She was right.

The door was slightly open, and she could see Mo Han standing at his desk. She walked in, her soft bunny slippers not making any sound.

Mo Han's back was facing him and he had one arm up to his ear with a phone in his hand.

"He finally made a move again," Mo Han said to the other end of the phone, his voice colder than the night outside right now.

An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows together as she froze. He? Who's he? Made a move? Again?

She could not hear what the other person at the end of the phone said, but Mo Han did not say anything for several seconds before finally saying coldly, "I'll go tomorrow."

Then, he ended the phone call.

When he turned around, his cold and dark eyes immediately landed on An Luxia, who was a few feet away from him.

An Luxia blinked a few times, and then smiled at him.

---

Together, they walked into the dining room to eat dinner since they were both hungry. As they entered, no one said anything and there was nothing needed to be said as they both sat down.

The food was delicious just like normal and they both ate happily, immersed in their food and not talking.

However, after a few minutes, the silence was broken as Mo Han looked up and said in a very serious tone, "Xiaxia."

An Luxia looked up, still chewing at her food as she blinked her large round eyes at him, "What?"

Although her tone was very relaxed and calm, a heavy feeling built up inside her.

"I need to go on a business trip tomorrow."
