The Wife of Hades

Chapter 103 - Finding Li Yilan

"Yes, I am her sister so I tried to let some things go and convince myself that she is not worth my time, and you guys too aren't even worth a second of my time. However, she is insatiable! She keeps testing my limits, and today, she tried to kill me! If she were my sister, she wouldn't do that, and if you were my parents, you wouldn't be standing on her side now!"

An Luxia's voice cracked as she spoke in the end, and she resisted the strong urge she had to kill the people in front of her right now.

Finally, she sat back down and gulped, "Now, let's go again! Now that you have a test round, let's go for longer. How does five minutes sound?"

After testing it out once, both of them did not want to ever go on that chair ever again. Just thinking about it made them shudder in fear.

The first to break in was Li Qiyu, who turned to look at his wife with tears, "Muya, why don't we just tell her?"

He Muya turned to look at her husband, and her eyes revealed her similar thoughts. None of them wanted to get tortured anymore, and as they were old and their bodies were not as strong as before, who knew what would happen if they continued to get tortured like this?

"We won't be tortured anymore, and with the five million dollars, we could pay off all the debt and also live a comfortable life!"

He Muya looked down, "But what would they do to Yilan?"

An Luxia spoke at this time, "You don't have to worry about that. I have control and she will only get what she deserves. . ."

She then added softly, "and maybe some more."

He Muya and Li Qiyu exchanged a long glance before He Muya closed her eyes and said weakly, "Li Yilan is at our old house."

An Luxia and Mo Han smiled at this answer, and they both stood up simultaneously.

An Luxia walked over to her parents and bent down with a smile, "Thank you, mother and father. See how easy this could have been if you were cooperative from the beginning! We could have not wasted all of this time and you could be happy and dry right now. What a pity! Now tell me, what is the address of the old house?"

Now that they had told An Luxia already, there was no point in hiding it any further. He Muya honestly told An Luxia the address of their old house, which was in the rural part of the country, outside the city borders.

An Luxia smiled and stood up, turning around to leave with Mo Han.

As they reached the door, Li Qiyu suddenly asked, "What about the money?! When are you going to give it to us?!"

An Luxia stopped in her tracks and tilted her head slightly, enough for her parents to see the grin on her face, "Money? When did I say I would give you money?"

At once, both of their faces paled as all color drained out of them and then they began twisting and writhing inside the chair, trying to get out, "YOU LIAR! HOW DARE YOU LIE TO US?! YOU B****! WHY DID I GIVE BIRTH TO YOU LITTLE DEVIL? I SHOULD HAVE JUST KILLED YOU ONCE YOU WERE BORN!"

An Luxia's heart pained when she heard this as she walked up the stairs, but the pain quickly faded as she had lost all hope in those two people.

Whatever they said had no relation to her anymore. The screaming sounds only stopped when they finally got out of the underground chamber and back into the house. Mo Han looked at An Luxia and didn't know if he should be worried that she showed no emotion on her face. She seemed to be perfectly fine.

But perfectly fine meant that she was not fine.

He grabbed onto her arm and stopped her, "I'll go and find her and take her back. You go and get some rest."

An Luxia smiled softly as she looked up at Mo Han and moved in closer to him, "Don't worry about me. I'm going to be fine. Of course I can't miss out on seeing her reaction when she sees that we found her and her parents betrayed her for a petty 5 million! I'm going with you."

Mo Han knew that he could not stop her, since although she had a smile on her face now and seemed to be joking around, there was also a certain assertiveness to her tone that left no room for discussion.

Mo Han quickly walked up to An Luxia and decided not to stop her as they left the house and entered the car. It was going to be quite a ride to get to the rural countryside where the Li family's old house was.

It was near the city but also at the edge of the country, where the technology wasn't very advanced and a lot of old people lived.

If An Luxia had not been adopted, she would have probably grown up there too. The sky was already dark when they drove to the house.

Since it was wintertime, the night was still very cold and dark. There were not many cars out, especially when they reached the border of the city.

Halfway through the ride, An Luxia closed her eyes although she wasn't asleep. The pain from her arm was beginning to numb, but she could still feel it underneath the thick cotton.

Mo Han kept on looking towards her as the driver drove in the front seat, and finally, he said, "You can go to sleep. I'll call you up when we arrive."

An Luxia opened her eyes, wondering how he knew she was not asleep, and turned to look at him. There were no cars around, and there had been no cars for the past thirty minutes already, so An Luxia pushed the part of the seatbelt over her body to the back and laid down, turning around and resting her head onto Mo Han's leg.

*helemon's note: Don't learn from evil Xiaxia! Wear your seatbelts, everyone!

The position was quite uncomfortable and An Luxia and Mo Han both didn't move. Finally, after a few minutes, An Luxia fell asleep like Mo Han had told her to.

Mo Han also closed his eyes and thought about everything that had happened in the mere span of a day. Li Yilan seemed to really have a death wish.

She dared to try and lay a finger on his wife?! This time, there was no way he would let her go! And this included her beloved parents too!

About half an hour later, they finally reached the small village where the house was located. The cars were not allowed to enter since the roads were all made of dirt and they were too narrow for a car to fit through.

Mo Han called An Luxia up and they got out of the car together. The driver, who was one of Mo Han's bodyguards, also got out and locked the car. There was another one of Mo Han's workers in the passenger's seat and the two of them followed behind them as they walked into the dark village.

The Li family's house was at the end of the road, and they walked past several houses that all looked quite shabby with piles of hay outside.

An Luxia flinched when she suddenly heard the sound of chickens clucking loudly. She lived here until three but had no memory of living in this poor condition and environment whatsoever.

Mo Han grabbed onto her hand as they continued to walk, and as they did, they reached a house where the door suddenly opened and an old woman walked out.

They looked at her cautiously as she dumped a bucket of water onto the ground and then disappeared into the house once again.

When they finally reached the address He Muya had given them, they noticed that the lights of the house were open.

An Luxia's eyes narrowed as they walked over to the door. With one kick, Mo Han kicked the wooden door open, which collapsed down onto the ground.

At once, the two bodyguards who were behind them rushed to the front and barged into the house, creating a loud commotion that other houses could probably hear.

"Ah!" A female high-pitched scream came from inside as An Luxia and Mo Han walked in as if it were their house.

In a few seconds, Li Yilan, who was still wearing the black hoodie she had worn when she attacked An Luxia, appeared.

When Li Yilan saw the two bodyguards, she gasped as all the color disappeared from her face.

Her lips quivered as she screamed, "Ah! How did you guys get in?!"

The two bodyguards rushed over and grabbed onto both of her arms, pushing her onto the ground, "Ah! Let go of me! Let go of me! I'm going to call the police!"

An Luxia stepped into the house, walking over to Li Yilan, who finally noticed that there were two more people here.

When she saw An Luxia, she fell silent as her arms began to shake from fear and shock, "An Luxia?!"
