The Tempestuous Consort – Wilfully Pampered by the Beastly Highness

Chapter 1035 - Feng Tianlan’s Wishes

Chapter 1035: Feng Tianlan’s Wishes

Su Jingfeng was protecting her from the crowd. “Sheng’er, what’s wrong?”

“I think I am hearing someone summoning me…” Feng Yunsheng was carrying two lotus-shaped lanterns. She then gave out a pure smile. “Perhaps I am now closer to eldest sister, which causes me to have a reaction. Let us go look for eldest sister in a while.”

Was that really the connection between her eldest sister and her?

She felt like she was being summoned. However, she felt a strong resistance in her heart. She even felt as if she was counter-summoning her. She did not know what feeling that was either.

Since she did not know anything about it, she stopped thinking about it. She came to Lin’an City to find her eldest sister so that she could bring her back to her mother. Her mother missed her very much.

The land beside the river was filled with people. The surface of the water was filled with different types for lanterns. They were floating on the water down the river to a faraway place while carrying their masters’ wishes.

Si Mobai was releasing an aura that keeps people away. Even though he was wearing a mask, the commoners would be frightened by his kinglike aura and open a path for him.

Feng Tianlan had written her name and her wishes on the lantern long ago. She wished that her close friends would be in good health and that she would grow old with Mobai and never leave his side.

Si Mobai looked at Feng Tianlan in a pampered manner. She went through all her wishes seriously once again in her heart with the lantern in her hands, then placed it carefully on the water. Although she was wearing a mask, he seemed to be able to see the sincerity and hope on her face.

She must be very pretty right now. Very pretty.

“Mobai, it’s your turn.” After placing her lantern on the water, Feng Tianlan raised her head and looked at Si Mobai.

Si Mobai curled his lips and smiled. He then placed the lantern, which had his name and wishes written on it, onto the surface of the water and watched it float downstream.

“Mobai, what did you wish for?” Feng Tianlan was blinking her phoenix eyes while looking at Si Mobai’s lantern with curiosity.

“They won’t come true if I were to say it out.” Si Mobai’s gaze landed on the lantern that she had just placed on the water. He then smiled.

Feng Tianlan reached out and paddled the water. She wanted the lanterns to float further. “I heard that the further the lantern floats, the more likely our wishes will come true.”

Si Mobai was still looking at her in a pampered manner. He then asked her suddenly. “Who did Lan’er light the lanterns with during the previous mid-autumn festivals?”

“No one. This is my first time lighting up a flower lantern with a man.” This was also her first time writing his name on the lantern. She did not even write Jiang Ying’s name in her previous life.

After hearing her explanation, Si Mobai replied with a contended ‘uh-huh’. He pampered her even more after seeing her behaving like a maiden. She must have been like this in her previous life too.

Feng Tianlan watched the flower lantern floating further and further away from her. She then stopped squatting down and stood up. She raised her head and looked at a bright red figure and a man in a golden black robe who was standing beside her at the opposite side of the river. Her silver hair was obvious. She could not help but frown. She felt that these two figures looked very familiar.

Si Mobai noticed the change in her expression. He then looked at the opposite side of the river and saw a red figure passing by. “Lan’er, what’s wrong?”

Feng Tianlan put her hand in his. “Nothing. I saw a red figure which looked rather familiar. I thought that was Yunzhu.”

Si Mobai raised her head and looked towards the direction where the red figure disappeared. “Let’s go. Let us go have a look. Maybe she really is.”

There wasn’t many who were dressed in red, because not everyone could wear red.

Feng Yunsheng felt a gaze falling onto her, which made her felt delighted. She turned around and looked at the crowd on the opposite side of the river. However, she only saw two figures dressed in white leaving hand in hand. She never felt the gaze that made her happy ever again.
