The Rise of the White Lotus

Chapter 62 - Kick Him In The Balls Instead.

Unlike Lexi's hours of preparation on thinking about what clothes to wear every single time she would go out, this time, she changed into a simple shirt and jeans she found matched with white sneakers. She then grabbed a random coat among her exquisite coats before picking her keys and her purse.

Lexi knew that her hard work in negotiating with Morris Liu to let her and her family go would be damned if she didn't answer his phone call or complied to his demands right now.

If Morris Liu had already seen her worst, then, it was the same for Lexi. She knew what her ex-fiance is capable off. Just a word from him and the Yang family would crumble down.

Hence, despite her great reluctance of meeting Morris Liu, she must go. She was already cornered and was not in a position to complain.

Lexi jogged her way towards the Yang mansion's driveway and without wasting a second, she hopped in and revved up her luxury car before she sped away.

"You should calm down chu," Churu mumbled, looking through the window.

"I am trying to calm down, Churu. But this -- what he's doing? He's trying to bring out the Lexi he knew in the past." Lexi grinds her teeth in anger as she stepped on the pedal that increased her speed. It is as if she was letting out her overwhelming frustration along with her speeding car.

She wanted to start her new life without Morris. Moved on from the past and live a happier and better life. Alas, just when she just wanted to have her peace, Morris Liu would call her in the middle of the night commanding her to come?

Why would he need to be so hard just when she was giving him the peace he always wanted? Hence, Lexi felt more determined to draw the line if it wasn't clear to Morris Liu that she doesn't or any have funny intention of doing the things she had done before.

----

Lexi arrived at the enormous building of the Liu Corporation. There was still a few employees inside but knowing the tight guidelines of what they see or hear inside this building, none of them would talk about her 'visit' at this time of the night.

Unlike when Lexi's last encounter when she came to meet Morris Liu and how he met Ethan Lu, this time, the guards let her in as if they were expecting her arrival.

Lexi headed straight on the elevator lift and pressed the number of top floor where Morris Liu's office.

"I legit regret using my one time skill. I should have kick that bastard's ball instead chu." Churu muttered as she flew beside Lexi.

"Now you understand why you should be punished." Lexi responded in a matter of factly tone. She glanced up and saw that she was nearing the top floor.

Soon, Lexi heard the 'ting' sound indicating that she arrived at her destination before the elevator lift opened.

Heavily breathing out, Lexi calmed her tensed nerves and her raging heart. She must keep her head clear because one wrong aggressive act could make her hard work go down the drain.

Seeing that the secretary spot was empty, Lexi headed straight the Morris office front door.

'Calm down, calm down…' Lexi repeated inwardly before she knocked three times.

"Calm down chu. Don't worry, I'll do the cursing chu." Churu humped as she massaged Lexi's right shoulder as if she was conditioning a boxer.

"Come in," After a second when her knocks sound vanished, Morris faint yet cold and expressionless voice was heard. Lexi exhaled for the last time before she pushed the door open.

The moment Lexi entered Morris Liu's spacious yet minimalist interior office, he slowly raised his head over the stack of documents piled on his desk.

Scrutinizing the woman that entered his office, Morris Liu furrowed his brows seeing her outfit. He knew Lexi more than anyone and in retrospect, unless she was filming, she won't wear as simple as a plain white shirt, denim jeans and a white sneakers; especially if she was meeting him.

She would always wear glorious clothes paired with expensive jewelries. But now, it's as if she just rushed her way with her hair tied in a ponytail.

"CEO Morris Liu, if you don't mind me asking, may I know the purpose of this abrupt call late at night?" Lexi gallantly stood as her gaze went directly on Morris Liu's perfectly sculpted eyes. Surely, he was the most handsome man with many achievements she had met. After all, she wouldn't fall for him if he wasn't the 'perfect guy' that fits her.

However, Morris Liu didn't respond immediately as he peered at her from top to bottom with only his eyes moving. Placing his palm on his executive chair's armrest, he slowly stood without a word.

He took slow stride towards her direction which made Lexi ball her hands into a fist.

"Hey, don't you dare come closer or I'll punish you in hell!" Churu shouted as she pointed her tiny little finger towards the approaching Morris Liu.
