The Rise of the White Lotus

Chapter 58 - Fun Fact, Chu~!

After sending her reply, Lexi put downed her phone then fixed her facial mask.

"Boohoo~! I already know my wrong, chu~!" Churu wept as she watched Lexi who was enjoying her facial mask. This is probably the most torturing thing that agonized her to this level; she could have died from enviousness any minute.

"Hmm, stay strong for a week," Lexi replied as she laid on her bed to relaxed her body and mind. Lexi would be lying if she said Morris Liu doesn't affect her anymore. She loved the man since childhood and moving on was easier said than done.

With his judging, unfazed, and icy gaze, Lexi was hurt and disappointed. For the past few days that she didn't have a glimpse of him, Lexi thought that her romantic feelings towards Morris Liu were slowly vanishing.

However, after her brief encounter with him, it was as if reality slapped her real hard. Granting that she hated Morris Liu for making her father swallow his pride and lose face, what disappoints her even more, is she, herself.

She could not believe that after everything that Morris Liu had done to her, she still has some lingering feelings towards the man. It was aggravating and upsetting at the same time. Lexi clenched her teeth which tightened her jaw beneath her mouth.

She doesn't know why but to her, it still hurts. She could feel that her heart was still shattered and was hanging by a thread. It was indeed distressing on her part as her supposed upcoming marriage was canceled and to top it all off, she doesn't fully hate him despite that.

"Are you alright, chu?" Sensing that something was amiss, Churu stopped her drama as she tilted her head on the side. Scrutinizing Lexi's unmoving figure, Churu reckoned what she was feeling.

"No, I feel awful." Lexi replied in a low tone. She had always bottled her emotions which she was afraid that if she talked more, it would all rush down.

Hearing this, Churu frowned. In her opinion, Lexi should just move forward and forget about the man that never sees her true value. Yet, she was being stubborn and keep getting affected by that bastard which frustrates the talking dumpling.

On the other hand, even though Churu didn't know the real feelings of Lexi towards Morris Liu, she very-well understood that Lexi didn't want that either. After all, she did exert extra effort to arrange a meeting between Morris Liu and Wren Tanaka as it was the last strand that connects them. After that, Lexi doesn't have any reason to associate with Morris Liu anymore.

"Do you know chu that from where I came from, it's also like earth?" Churu who knew that a little hug wasn't enough to console Lexi, opened a topic that would divert her mind from her troublesome thoughts.

"Oh, yea?"

"Yes, chu~! A year ago which is equivalent to several millennia here on earth, they decided to build the whole like this because of the dramas they watch." Churu explained and fortunately, she didn't end up spouting the word 'chu', indicating that she was allowed to talk about it.

"Drama?"

"Yes, chu~! I wonder if you gained tons of fans in that place." Churu spoke in a matter of factly tone. Upon hearing Churu's statement, Lexi abruptly opened her eyes in disbelief. Supporting her upper body by her elbow and turned her masked face, to the dumpling on the side, Lexi asked with her eyes wide open.

"What do you mean fans? You mean I'm being watched? Like the whole nation is watching me?"

"Hmm, not exactly, chu~! But didn't I tell you that God is bored? So we are, chu~!" Churu happily explicated as she successfully diverted Lexi's thought about Morris. Little did the adorable dumpling knew, that her somewhat normal news gave Lexi an even more painful headache.

"Fun Fact: In some story, you are akin to the main antagonist who always sabotaged the relationship between the female and male lead, chu~! But now, you are the female lead in this story, chu~!" Churu giddily continued to prattle her absurd and ridiculous 'fun facts'.

Lexi pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. Is Churu kidding? She was, right? There's no way that demons and angels and even the God almighty were like the audience who watched dramas… right?

"Sissy, please tell me you're kidding."

"Huh? Why would I chu~?" Tilting her head on the side, Churu's cute forehead creased in confusion.

"You mean there are eyes watching me 24/7? Like even when I bath?" Lexi asked in disbelief and prayed that it wasn't the case. Just what kind of trauma is Churu trying to give her saying these things to her?

"Silly -- of course, the only thing they can see is the fluffy stuff chu~! There are different stories with their respective timeslot, chu~! Told you copied the lifestyle here, chu~!" Churu briefly clarified. Of course, how can they keep the audience hooked if they aired her pooping time or irrelevant fillers? After all, things needed to be edited before releasing the episode.

Lexi heaved a sigh of relieved after Churu's clarification. "Thank God,"

"Fun Fact: Mister Initial task is akin to a comic relief character, chu~!" After answering Lexi's query, Churu resumed on her 'fun facts' again.
