The Mysterious Black Magician

A few days before Yman and Rea were called to the palace.

Inside a grand-looking room, a young man with long pointed ears was anxiously resting his unbearded chin on his fingers of two hands that were entangled together, whereas his elbows were on the table.

His white-skinned face showed an unhappy emotion, in which his long slender eyebrows were twitching to form creases on his flat forehead.

His cold-looking eyes with ruby-red pupils were fixedly staring to the front. But his focus wasn't there; it was beyond what was in front of him. And they were gleaming that full of hostility towards something.

A pair of two long white bangs were framing the sides of his cone-shaped face, but the man wasn't a white-haired man. He had long jet black hair, wrapped neatly at the back of his head

The man was wearing a long elegant suit of maroon and golden color.

Below the table, the heel of his expensive-looking shoe was repeatedly tapping the tiled floor, creating beats of unmelodious noise..

It was easy to guess that he was anxious about something.

In truth, he was glaring at the three people who were on their knees in front of him.

"What did you say?" he asked in a cold voice.

"Y-Your Highness, the first, second, and third groups failed to abduct Princess Merea Ella. Gulp!" Scar reported then swallowed his saliva in fright.

In front of them was the third prince of Nara Kingdom, Prince Angus De Nara. And currently, they are inside the private room of the palace.

Pang!

The table made a crisp impact after the prince smashed his palm onto it. 'Ouch, dammit, it really hurts!' He groaned inwardly. He was a person who had a broken Soul Container. Because of it, he could not use any mage craft spell. And because he had a broken Soul Container, he wasn't as strong as other people who can cast a spell. In other words, he was useless.

Soul Container was also known as Hollow Cell, Magician's Seed, Dantian, and etcetera. Every country had a different naming sense, but all of them had the same meaning. Having a damaged Soul Container also means useless.

He was a useless person despite being a prince of the Nara Kingdom.

Two people out of three shuddered in fear upon noticing the unkind expression on the prince's face. It was Scar and Fang, and the remaining person was Gath. The three of them arrived here a few days ago.

Back to the prince. Although he was useless, could not cast a spell, no one was looking down at him inside the palace. After all, even though he was unable to cast a spell, around them, they could perceive a killing aura in the air. It was coming from around them.

This whole room was under the watch of some elite individuals. 

Even Gath could not see them with naked eyes. But Gath's intuition was telling Gath that the whole room was heavily guarded by strong people.

But Gath was guessing that these stealth people around them were the personal guard of the useless prince.

They have the strength equivalent to Gath, or if not, they were stronger.

But the biggest problem is the prince himself. Although he is a useless prince, he is a cunning person. It was Gath's honest thought.

"Are you an idiot that is incapable of thinking?" Coldly said the Prince after hearing their reports.

Well, the first and third group failure wasn't their fault

"N-No, Your Highness, w-we did formulate a plan and successfully lured the princess but…"

Scar stopped upon seeing the cold face of the useless prince while looking at him with a murderous aura.

Noticing the lack of words of Scar, "We encountered a giant monster, Your Highness," Gath was the one who continued.

The useless Prince squinted his eyes after hearing them. "Giant monster?" He repeated Gath's words. However, his voice was as cold as ever.

"Y-Yes, Your Highness, it was a giant gorilla. And before we knew it, we were already surrounded," Fang was the next who said it.

"Right, Your Highness. Before we knew it, we were already surrounded by an unknown group of people," Scar added. 

The prince remained silent. However, the murderous aura he was gushing out a while ago had lessened.

The useless prince wondered if these fools were telling the truth. Not only did they fail a simple mission to abduct the princess, but they also lost too many men. It wasn't like he cared about it though. His only concern was to abduct the princess of Mangrove Kingdom. He could not wait any longer.

'Dammit!' He grunted. He was wondering who those people were that Scar and his group encountered. Could it be, they were lying? No, no, he would know if they were lying or not.

And since no reaction from his invisible guards, Scar and his men must be telling the truth. Aside from that, what do they mean by giant monster? Wait, aren't there some rumors in the empire about a sudden popping out of a giant beast? So, perhaps it was related to it?

The useless prince fell into deep contemplation. Regardless, he had no use for a useless person.

"Y-Your Highness…"

Scar and Fang trembled in fear when they noticed the murderous intent coming from the prince rose once again.

Before the prince gave his signal to his invisible guards, the door was pushed open.

A young man with medium-length wavy blond hair opened on his forehead came out of the door.

He was wearing white long sleeves, topped with a black vest, and was paired with black slacks and shiny leather shoes.

He was walking calmly amid a murderous aura inside the room. They were all looking at him. The only odd about him was that he was a human.

The useless Prince squinted his eyes. "Who are you?" He asked when the young man arrived in front of him. Although he didn't know this presumptuous person who suddenly barged in, he wasn't a bit afraid of the person. His invisible was in every corner of this room.

The young man then kneeled. "My name is Chad from the Human City Zone 1. Sorry for intruding--"

Ting!

Chad wasn't able to finish his words as two figures suddenly materialized beside him. One of them was trying to kill him, while the other one was defending him.

Scar and the others gawked in disbelief.
