The Mysterious Black Magician

Chapter 255 - Allrounder Ambassador

"A-Ambassadors?" Just then Rea reacted.

"Yes, Rea Honey," nodded the empress.

"Uhm, Your Majesty, do you mean we needed to travel across the continents?" He was taken aback after hearing the Empress.

The empress nodded again. "Mhm, uhm… do you have something or someone to worry about?"

"....."

Rea and Cinde stared at him.. They remembered Crimson had a person special to him, though that person had a broken seed. It must be the reason that he looked so worried after hearing that he had to travel away.

"Uhm, Aunt, I mean… Your Majesty. In truth, Crimson here has someone special to him that he cannot leave for long."

Yman blinked his eyes at Rea's unexpected words.

"Oh, is that so?" Said the Empress as she stared at Crimson, Cinde, and Rea.

The two girls had simultaneously nodded their heads. Crimson did too when the empress's eyes landed on him.

"Actually, Your Majesty, that person had a broken seed."

"....."

Crimson was surprised at Cinde's follow up. How did these two know about it? A question on himself. Wait, it must be that time, inside the Little Garden Department. Yman showed a can't be helped face after realizing.

He was surprised that these two girls were remembering it.

"I see, so that's the problem?" Asked the empress. Yman nodded with a wry smile. He actually wanted to travel across this world. But if possible, he wanted to bring his sister with him.

They noticed the empress paused for a moment. "Hm, broken seed, huh…" said the empress as she put her index finger below her mouth. Perhaps, in-depth thoughts.

Yman's mouth hung open when he remembered that the empress had the same habitual gesture as Sistela.

Hilion and Roman were just silent while listening to them. But in truth, they were thinking about the empress's plan of making them ambassadors. They realized that it was a good chance for them. An ambassador of the empire was a high position that someone like them could only dream of. Yet, the empress wanted to appoint them even though they were still too young for such a job. Perhaps there was a reason behind it.

Regardless, if they become an ambassador of the empire, not only their status in their family would rise, most of their peers would be looking at them with envy.

Though Roman wasn't the type of person to mind about such trivial matters such statuses. But being an ambassador of the would increase, not only his status but also his family's status inside the Fatbeardy Sect.

Yman noticed the empress opened her mouth again. "I think I can help with that." His eyes blinked once, then widened a second later. "Y-your Majesty… what do you mean… with help?" While Yman was asking it, his hands trembled for a brief moment.

Empress Eleanna grinned. "Actually, In the palace treasury, there is a medicine called the Heaven Defying Medicine." Upon hearing it, Yman stopped for a moment. It seemed like the time paused for him.

It was the medicine he was looking for!

Even Sistela who was sitting on his shoulder gasped in disbelief.

When they heard the empress mentioned the Medicine's name, Hilion and Roman had narrowed their eyes at Crimson as they thought that he was so lucky. They knew that Adventurers guild was a big company in the empire, but they did not expect that this person's influence could even make the empress mention that legendary medicine.

"Your Majesty!" Everyone was startled when Crimson suddenly stood up. "I will trade my soul, just sell to me the medicine!" He declared resolutely. Crimson knew that even though he had one of the major materials to synthesize the medicine, the other materials weren't so easy to find either. It may take him a year to conclude the medicine if he was so lucky to find all the materials. But in reality, it was indefinite of when he will be able to find them all.

That's why upon hearing the empress talked about the medicine. His excitement spans ahead of his thinking.

He even forgot that he didn't have the money to buy it. The Heaven Defying Medicine wasn't a medicine that could be synthesized easily.

Cinde and Rea were speechless at him.

"Fufufu…" Empress Eleanna chuckled. "I see… let's talk about it later…" she added.

Crimson thanked the empress and hastily said a sorry to everyone before embarrassingly sat back in his seat.

The empress asked them one by one if they had any questions. Hilion raised his hand and asked for further information regarding the ambassador thing.

Empress Eleanna nodded and explained to them that they won't be sent right away. They needed to undertake serious training first. They wondered why the empress wanted to send them as ambassadors and not the real ambassadors. But Hilion seemed to know of the reason. He continued the empress explanation by saying that the Empire of Encantasia wasn't on good terms with the other continents.

"In honesty, all of the major continents were in constant war against each other," proceeded the empress. "Even at this moment, the war was still ongoing in the frontline. It is also the reason why we can't send some soldiers to the other continent." Without a soldier to guard them, most of the current ambassadors refused to partake in the mission.

Although if Empress Eleanna really wanted, she could send them even if it was against their will. But she was not the type of Empress who forced her people to commit something against their will.

Left with no choice, she used the competition to find suitable individuals for the mission.

She needed to find some experts who could be both ambassadors and could also protect themselves while

at the same time act as undercover agents.

Everyone was speechless at the empress's words.

In short, they must become an all-rounder ambassador who could adapt to any situation they were in.

"....."

Their meeting lasted for 5 hours, but the empress asked them to stay for a bit as she needed to grant them their real rewards from the competition. Excitedly, they followed the empress in the palace treasury.
