The Mysterious Black Magician

Chapter 157 - Ungentleman

'These elixirs are indeed important to stock inside one's storage. I have to buy some as well,' he thought.

He nodded at the vendor after hearing his explanation then he glanced at the girl beside him who had her eyes fixed staring at the elixirs in front.

"I see. Rea, what kind of potion— I mean elixir you wish to buy?" He asked her in a calm voice.

But he noticed her, gawking towards him.

In Rea's mind,

'This person is calling me without honorific! N-Not even connected with a Miss or Lady before mentioning my name,' she grumbled inwardly while showing a little redness on her face. 'Besides, isn't the way he called me, is like calling his p-partner or lo-lo-lover…?' She thought and her eyes started to spiral.

In truth, she wasn't mad, she was just surprised by his unconcerned behavior towards many things that were supposedly very serious..

Yman on the other hand tilted his head in puzzlement from her reaction.

Rea immediately regained her composure, she would lose much of her precious time if she kept getting surprised by this person.

"I-I need 20 small bottles of Medium-Tier and 10 medium bottles of Advance-Tier of Mana Replenishment Elixir, Health Replenishment Elixir, Vitality Elixir, and Stamina Elixir," Rea responded.

The vendor gasped for a second upon hearing her reply. 'These two are truly rich!' He thought. 'What a bulk buying!'

"You heard her, Mister," Yman said to the vendor.

"Aaah, yes yes, venerable young man, these are the Medium-Tier in small bottles and over there are the Advance-Tier in medium size bottles. Hehe," said the vendor, still in his composed innocent smile which was very suspicious to Yman.

He remembered he said the same when he tried to sell some arrows on the Town Walls of Sitona.

"Uhm, are you sure they are the Medium-Tier and Advance-Tier Elixir, Mister?" He just wanted to make sure that the vendor wasn't swindling them. Although it was a little rude to ask directly, it's better than staying silent and doing nothing.

"Of course, Of course! Haha, do you think I'm swindling you? That's impossible. I won't sully my name in the name of Her Grace Htraerea!" Said the vendor while cupping his hands.

After Yman heard it, he felt relieved. He could not tell what kind of Demihuman the vendor was, because he was wearing a cap that covered his ears. Most Demihumans were just like normal humans when they hid their ears and tail.

Regardless, after saying the name of Her Grace was already enough to feel at ease. Because for the Demihumans, it was a big sin if ever someone found out lying while using Her Grace's name.

He responded saying, "I see, then that's good."

"Yes, yes. You don't need to worry I'm a man of my words," said the vendor. But Yman's words gave him a brief scare.

However, the vendor thought that it was impossible for someone like them who were inexperienced to know the difference between every tier of elixir. They didn't differ in color even if one shook it. And aside from that, it was the first time he saw these people's faces around this place. So they probably not from here.

Rea stole a glance beside her and noticed he went silent. She opened her mouth saying, "Ah, is that so? Is this the one, Mister?" Rea asked the vendor while pointing to the elixir.

She was a little embarrassed about being in the dark about potions or elixirs. She too could not argue if the potions in front of her were legitly the tier she needed.

The school council asked her to buy a large number of potions when they figured that she was near the area. She couldn't say no as the Council President was her best friend and the Vice President is her cousin, the princess of the empire, and her aunt's only daughter.

"Yes yes, that is, beautiful Young Miss, fufu. Go on, choose all you want." Urged the vendor but inwardly, 'as expected of rich inexperienced people, they have no means of checking the quality of it. Even if they shake it many times, they can not figure out the difference between each rank of these elixirs. Not even the experienced people could distinguish the quality of it. What're more these two newbies who're not even familiar about elixirs.'

He further grinned when he noticed the young girl in front started choosing her desired elixirs. And the young man went silent.

One by one, Rea started selecting the right bottle size. She was mumbling inside that this man beside her did not even try to offer some help to her. 'Such an ungentlemanly person!' She thought but didn't stop what she was doing.

Yet a moment later,

"Wait!"

Suddenly, Rea and the vendor heard his call.

"What?" She asked, slightly annoyed.

Around this time,

"Boss, all our men are already in their position. They are ready anytime!" Said Fang who appeared in front of Scar once again. Currently, they were peeking at the two who were busy buying in the elixir stall.

"Good! Just wait for my 'Go' signal before taking any actions. We need to wait until they move to a deserted place," Said Scar while showing a wide grin. Then licked his lips using his tongue.

A large scar was visible on his chin.

"In that case, aside from the alleyway in the western part, there's no other place they most probably take when they decide to leave, Boss," said Fang. Then he continued, "But that alleyway is where most of the people living on the western part of the empire will pass when they decide to go home."

"Hehehe, don't sweat it. We just need to lure them into a more desirable place. Look at that young man with her, he looks like a kind wimp!" Sneered Boss Scar at the young man beside their target.

"Gegege, do you mean…" Fang immediately understood what his boss wanted to tell and got excited.
