The Lady’s Sickly Husband

Chapter 17 - Rage, Sudden Rage

Chapter 17: Rage, Sudden Rage

Ning Shaoqing shook his dizzy head. He was born in a big family. He had witnessed loads of indecent intrigues, so just slight discomfort made he realize what was going on. Hurriedly, he stepped back, bellowing with rage, “Bitch, what do you want?”

“No…nothing! Sir, what’s wrong with you?” Fang Taoer instantly came forward to hold Ning Shaoqing.

Mom said that the herb drug she had added to the soup was her exclusive secret drug which would do good to kidney. It would totally melt to the soup, leaving no taste or color to be found while doing good to people’s heath without any harm.

However, eating the soup and smelling the powder on her body at the same time would lead to a different result.

Mom said that as long as Mr. Ning ate the soup and she poured the power onto herself, the thing in her mind would absolutely come true.

Just now when she walked out, she was exactly sprinkling the power.

Ning Shaoqing was familiar with women who tried to climb onto his bed, so how could he not notice the undisguised thirsty beam from her eyes? He realized it was the strange smell from her, so he subconsciously continued to step back.

Seeing Ning Shaoqing retreating to avoid her, Fang Taoer thought the effect didn’t play to the full, so she discarded her face and darted direct to Ning Shaoqing.

Ning Shaoqing frowned and gave her one smashing palm, which made Taoer fly away at once and then, with a ‘bang’ heavily hit on the door.

“Get out!”

The words were deafening!

Ning Shaoqing’s face was full of relentlessness, his eyes turning into icy knives tinted with blood. One single glance at Taoer scared the soul out of her body. Her forehead was cut and there was blood on the corner of her mouth. Without the courage to wipe out the blond, she, trembling with fear, rose to her feet and stumbled her way out in a hurry.

Hateful! Before, he must have killed the cheap girl with one palm. Ning Shaoqing gazed with resentment at the figure disappearing through the door.

Only after a long while to calm down did he, frowning and with bloody-red eyes, trudged his way to the courtyard and dived into the well without hesitation.

After an entire hour of bathing in cold water, Ning Shaoqing finally jumped out of the well and plucked up the last trace of strength to take off the soaked clothes and get himself onto the bed.

The drug was indeed effective!

In the past, no kind of philter could hurt him. Even ten bowls of that thing couldn’t produce physical reaction in him.

But now, all of his martial power was employed to suppress the cold poison within his body. And the mutual promotion between the cold poison and the philter amplify the effect of the latter by many times.

With a groggy head, he finally managed to lift up some genuine qi to drive away the remaining philter.

By the time when his body was clear of it, the suppressed cold poison was stimulated and broke out.

Ning Shaoqing shuddered, the past playing in his mind scene by scene…

Mo Qianxue selected a set of kongfu tea wares in the shop and bought some good tea before she hired a carriage and headed for the village of Wang clan.

When she got home, the silence made her thought Ning Shaoqing was still at work, so she, humming songs, took the new tea wares to the kitchen to boil water, preparing to make a pot of good tea.

In modern times, Mo Qianxue was a fan of tea ceremony. She had often made and appreciate tea with friends, and she herself was a master of tea ceremony. Shame that later she suffered a lot and even didn’t have raw tea at home, let alone tea wares for making it.

Until she took the tea tray inside the inner room, she found that Ning Shaoqing was lying on the bed.

Today Mo Qianxue reached deals and bought many good books and tea wares, of course she was now in a good mood. She carried the tea tray to the bed, as if showing off some kind of treasure, smiling gently, “Sir, get up and enjoy some tea! I especially bought the tea…”

Before she finished, Ning Shaoqing raised a hand and knocked over the tea tray.

The teapot and teacups fell onto the ground, breaking up into pieces paving all around.

Water and tealeaves splashed onto all over Mo Qianxue’s face and head.

She was shocked and irritated by the sudden attack and got incoherent in her speech, “You, you…”

Ning Shaoqing was in a coma. The woman before him seemed to overlap with the hateful one, so he displayed a frosty face and scolded with disdain, “Bitch, get off me!”

In the face of this sudden conflict, Mo Qianxue had a blank mind.

She didn’t reach out to wipe out the water on her face nor the tea on her hair. She just slowly got down to pick up the porcelain pieces and clean up the room.

Her hand was cut by one piece, but she was unaware, because her heart was also broken into pieces by the cursing of bitch.

Mo Qianxue dared to swear that although at the very beginning she took care of him out of fear of being sold out as a slave, this month, she truly cared of him, because after all in the strange world, he was the one most intimate to her and the one with whom she had most connections.

She planned to stay with him till they got old; she thought of living a harmonious life with him; she wished to earn thousand miles of farmland and raised an adorable kid with him…

However, in this person’s eyes, what was she? A servant? A cook? Or a bitch!

Did she feel it wrong? She had truly felt his affection for her.

For many times, although he seemed to be indifferent, his eyes and shyness give him away. Did she get it wrong and confess to the wrong one?

Just yesterday, he had looked at her with a smiling, saying he would like to help her manage the tofu business.

The silence after the breaking noise and the sorrow solidified in the air called back part of Ning Shaoqing’s sanity, and only then could his eyes fix focus. He watched carefully and found the woman before him was Mo Qianxue.

The mess in the room made him realize the seriousness of what just happened. However, he opened his mouth but said nothing. The hand reaching out also drops down slowly.

What reasons did he have to beg her forgiving? He, a dying person, didn’t deserve a nice woman like her.

After finishing the scums on the ground, she numbly held a tray of pieces out. Her strength had been so drained up at the moment that she instantly collapsed down on the ground under the old willow tree, looking up at the sky.

There came a big puff of cloud and the sky became dark at once, as dark as her heart. The dark devoured the sky and the ground and her. Overwhelmingly, it smashed everything into ash, including herself.

Ning Shaoqing struggled to get up, and, through the departure of the doors, he secretly glanced at the woman who desperately looked up to avoid her tears rolling down, his hand gradually turning into a tight fist.

The fingernails intruded into the fresh of his palm, but he didn’t feel a bit pain. Instead, within his chest, something seemed to be breaking.

Twitching, he put his fist into his mouth, biting hard with his teeth. The mangled flesh and blood mixed together.

After a long time, he slowly put the fist down and fell down onto the bed.

Just let her hate him! So that after his death, she wouldn’t be sad. She could still be happy.

Just let it be…
