The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 454 - Meeting A Stranger?!

As the car preceded in the deserted area in the nearby place, it made Amaira even more suspicious.

In fact, what raged her heart was to find that her mother had left out of the blue without informing anyone.

It raised dozens of suspicions. Moreover, she was left with no other choice but to accept that her mother was acting weird for a couple of days.

Soon, her mother's car had stopped in front of the unconstructed building which was left in the middle of construction. She got out of the car, and the car had immediately left the place.

But at the same time, Amaira had already asked the driver to stop the car at the back of the trees.

She instantly stepped out of the car before she went straight to the other side and her gaze fell upon, to see her mother walking inside of the building.

'Why have you come here late? What is your work here?' it raised her alarm and curiosity.

But without delay, Amaira followed her mother behind, with her steady steps.

However, to avoid the threat of being caught by her mother, she had made sure that she didn't come into her mother's eyes. That was the last thing she was looking forward to.

With time, Amaira entered the building but all she felt was the darkness all around. Opening her phone, she switched its light, to see the shadow of her mother.

Some light noise of the steps could be heard and she had followed behind without giving anyone any kind hint.

Bending down, she had to adjust to the walls, stairs, before she climbed the stairs, which led her to the second floor of the building. And there, she stood behind one of the pillars.

Bringing her phone near her heart, she made sure that its light doesn't get reflected anywhere else.

Initially, it was hard before Amaira got her head a bit too besides to see that there was no one anymore. With this thought and after a calculative search, she came to another pillar closer.

Following her mother's statehouse, Amaira went on to walk, with careful actions. At last, she had landed behind one of the large walls but it was still not fully constructed.

There, she stopped, only to hear the voice, making her halt in her steps.

"Why have you called me here today?"

"Because of Shawn. He is captured by both of his sons."

At this point, Amaira's instincts worked. 'Is mum talking with someone? Who is this man?' it blew her mind, and currently, she was holding her breath to not let anyone be aware of her presence.

Even taking a single step seemed cautious, so she stood still to where she was currently, to hear the rest of their talks. "That was expected. I heard that it was Shawn who had given Jennifer back to Lucas."

"But that isn't my worry. If Shawn doesn't get out, our entire plan will ultimately flop. How are we supposed to make him sign the papers?"

As her worry grew, Shirley stared at the man's back, "You needed money. But I can't extract them until I get permission from Shawn.."

"....and he is currently not with you." the man told her, which received a nod from her side.

She was frightened that Javier and Charles might take the harsh steps, which in return will cause greater losses.

On the other hand, the man didn't say anything. He took his cigarette out from his pocket before lighting it up. He let out the smoke from his lips before his eyes carved into the shining frown.

"That was your work."

"But my work isn't completed! What will we do, if Shawn hears about us?!" Shirley asked, with a burning voice.

She had raised her tone, which caused Amaira to almost over her ears.

Whereas, the man didn't bother to reply to her. Yet the same can't be said for Shirley, whose heart was already covered with the plague.

At the realization, her eyes became wide with horror, "W-what...will happen if.. Javier and Charles learn about us!? We will be doomed!"

"No one is going to know. Calm down," he answered, with the same patience in his speech.

The same patience was hardly found in Shirley, who was already fading with anger. When the man noticed that she was not listening to what he told her, he came by her side to make her sit on one of the chairs present out there.

After that, he bent down on his knees, to keep his hand on her thighs. Looking straight into her gaze, he spoke, "No one will know about us. They are too busy with their work. Charles has his ex-girlfriend to handle and Javier has his wife, who is in another state."

"Rather than being sad, you should be happy that your husband isn't at home but you? You are still the mistress of the house.." he told her honestly, which brought a warm smile to her face.

The guilt and uneasiness started to lift off from her heart but not for so long either.

It came as the healing machine over her mind, hard to let go as well.

As the man sensed her easing down, he continued to press her thigh more suggestively.

It sent chills down her spine, but at the same time, it was relaxing too. "You..."

"Cmon, I know that you're stressed." the man's husky and heavy voice was heard. 'You need to ease your mind and body. Give me a chance, and trust me, no  one will come here."

"Are you sure that we are safe here?" Shirley asked again while holding the last bit of string of patience and her own urges.

Passing her the softest smile possible, the man had jerked his head on the right side, without tearing his eyes away from her face. "I stand firmly on my words."

"Then...What are you waiting for? Come..."
