The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 449 - Brother In Law's Death

"Y-You are..." Sierra's eyes raised on seeing through the rear mirror. She found a man, holding a phone in his hand and his face was under the mask, which he wore of black color.

It gave her heart corundum but on top of that, she couldn't relate and come to the treaty. "W-what..and how..did you get into my car?" She can't help but ask, to which, the man from the other side of the phone told her, "Miss, we deal in the underworld. I think Sierra Shen is intelligent enough to know that this isn't a new thing for us."

"It might not be new for you to keep your gun against someone's head but for me? It can't be said the same.." Sierra muttered while she bit her lower lip.

In contrast to what she said, the man behind her head actually grabbed the gun more tightly against her head.

It was another hard object against their head, and subconsciously, her eyes closed.

"I don't want anything else from you. But I just wanted to send a message via my man. And I thought, why not surprise you with this?" His words were like any other bomb that has been dropped over her head

Sierra's breath halted but she kept the same expressions, gathering the courage down the hill, "What is the message you are talking about?"

"A message to your husband, via you. What can be the best solution to reach him through you, Mrs. Shen?" The man on the other hand answered, making her heart skip a beat. "Oh yes, you can address me by Santz if you want."

"Mr. Santz, I'm least interested in getting into the fight of yours and Jack. So, please keep me out of this and it is a humble request from you." Sierra answered, with her fierce state.

She turned around it look at the phone which was in the man's hand, where the man got alarmed.

He signaled her to get straight and drive the car, which she was reluctant to do. "Why shall I do this? Get the hell out of my car right now!"

"My man will go nowhere, Mrs. Shen. Do as he says." came another order from the other hand, enough to learn that it was impossible to defy them.

Without any doubt, Sierra moved and sat straight on the driving seat before she pushed the start button and moved her car in the direction of the road.

She rode the car without having an idea in which direction she was going.

All that roamed inside her brain was to escape from the clutches of this man, unharmed.

"So. Mrs. Shen. keep driving until my man asks you to stop. Also, I shall say this to you, your brother-in-law's death wasn't any mere coincidence if you believe it to be." came a blunt answer from the other hand, making Sierra gulp the saliva present in her mouth.

"Then, was it you who had killed him?" Sierra didn't leave the stone unturned to ask, in return, she heard, "I did try. Fortunately, I was successful in killing him as well as the head of the Shen family."

"You are a freaking bastard.." Sierra can't help but mutter.

The memories of the news which they received of the death were lingering in her brain like any other reel. She could never get it out of her as if the entire mess had started since the father of Jack had died.

"You are correct, I'm a monster. A devil who is after your family and I will not stand still until I get my hand on each person and the last person will be... your son.."

"DON'T YOU DARE!" Sierra's yell echoed in the entire car.

Her hand was currently on the steering wheel but her eyes were vomiting out the fire. There was pure redness, which ignited within her due to his words, "Touch my son, and you will face death."

"Is that so? You should have thought about this earlier before you married into the Shen family." The man showed no mercy and it gave her fright.

He was merciless, showing no amount of help. Neither did he feel any sympathy or emotions. For Sierra, she could relate him to any robot who had undergone the surgery of being emotionless.

'How can he kill my child so easily? My Baby is so small..' and surely this made her suspicious that not everyone in the underworld owns a heart.

But without any other conversation, she noticed that the man behind her had hung up the call.

Now, he was directly pointing the gun at her head, without giving her any order.

This accelerated her heartbeat up to the moon. 'Am I free now?' she wondered but her dream didn't come true.

"Take left from the next lane." The man behind her answered in a deep and husky voice, giving Sierra's heart to feel the cage. "I..already talked with your boss. Is there any need for us to"

"Do as I say." the sharp answers to put the end of all her questions.

As Sierra's brows were already inverted into the frown, her forehead's lines had deepened. Not only that, her mind was currently wandering around all possibilities and the way she was driving on. 'Is this man bringing me to the hills?'

Is he going to kill her? She can't help but feel the danger around herself. But there was no way she could have unlocked the door of the car and flown away.

As her hands were covered with sweat, she drove the car in the direction where he asked her to. In fact, he had brought her to the hilly region, where her heart was almost on the bay of coming into her mouth.

"W-Where...are you taking me.." Sierra once again asked, with her timid tone, to which the man spoke, "Take the left from the corner and stop the car there.." In return, Sierra nodded her head and she did as he told her.

Afterward, when she stopped the car at the designated space, did she look around outside of the window, to find that they were very much close to the edge of the hill.

The sight was enough to make her body feel numb but the next words finally kicked off her all strength.

"Open the door and get out of the car.."
