The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 443 - Worst Confrontation!

"Hmm...I see. So, what have you guys done yet?" Javier asked while tugging his hand in his pocket.

His stare was intense, but at the same time, his body was giving some other vibe too. While Ellen and Ryan had to be cautious around him, in the hope that they would not blurt out anything unnecessary which would, in the end, infruite him and put them into a dangerous situation.

However, with no further opinion that was left in their hands, Ellen had to give the details, "Nothing. Except for not letting him eat for a few days until his health started to detroit. Before, Charles actually thought of doing some physical kind of torture but..."

"....But his heart came in between, Am I Right?" Javier asked as he already guessed somewhere that his brother might not be able to perform the task, why is it necessary.

At the end of the day, Shawn Johnson is their father and they are his blood-related children.

Despite the several mistakes which he made in the past, there is no way to deny that they all are related....

Unfortunately, Mr. Johnson has actually forgotten about their blood relationship before Javier could.

In response, Ellen gave him a small nod. "You are correct."

"I can totally relate with Charles' sentiments then.." Javier muttered Under his breath. He lowered his eyelids, that no one can actually predict what was going inside his brain.

Both Ellen and Ryan stayed quiet but their heart was yearning to learn about what he was thinking. After a few seconds, Javier once again lifted his head to look at both of them with the spark in those eyes.

"Let us go and meet father then...what he has to give me today..'' However, with this statement, his attitude briefly changed.

There was a drastic fall in the smile and the gentle voice. What they both came across was him once again turning aloof and unapproachable.

Keeping themselves quiet, they agreed to his words before Javier motioned Ellen to unlock the door.

As per the instruction, Ellen came forward. He pressed his thumb against the touch screen where the screen displayed that they needed to write a passcode. After writing it down, the metal door was opened for them automatically.

Javier was the first one to step inside the entire dark-pitched room. It was weighted with just one single light lamp, and a few chairs on its left side.

However, in the middle, there was a man with gray hair.

He had kept his head low while sitting on the chair. He was tied with the ropes, and his hands were also tugged by the cages on either side of the chair.

At first glance, Javier for once considered him to be already dead. But then, he knew how to wake that stubborn father up from his dream...

His gaze traveled to see one of the tables and the water that was on them. He went straight out there and without thinking twice, did he throw all the water present in the tumbler on his father's face, making him wet and alerted at the same time.

"Aghh....wh-who is this!"

"Your son, who you actually left behind to die," Javier answered without trying to sound mercy to him. He wasn't even unhappy with his words but it did gain the attention of Mr. Shawn Johnson.

Shawn lifted his head a bit. For the next few minutes, he found it hard to adjust to the dim lights. Water was dripping from his messy hair, through his clothes. "Y-You...Javier..?"

"You do remember me?' A devilish smile was formed on his lips. "How bad of me that I actually thought that you forgot that you had another son?"

"You are my blood. How can I forget about you?" Until now it was clear that his throat had already gone dry. The dryness was visible in his voice.

But it didn't warm Javier's heart where he kept the same expression as that of earlier to say, "You are correct. We are the same. Our blood is the same. But it's so bad for us to not have mutual feelings towards each other."

"W-what do you mean..." Shawn asked with doubt replacing the slightly mixed expressions on his face.

He was shocked since the time the events took place and Jenifer was taken away by Lucas, Shawn has not conversed with this one either.

The Last time he saw him was when they took him to the hospital. Thereafter, Charles had brought him here and charged him without even letting them talk. Till yet, the people who visit are bare, either Charles, Ellen, or Ryan.

Except for them, the guard comes to give him food and after that, once again ties him. At this stage of his life, Shawn can't understand how can his own sons be so cruel towards their dad?

On the other hand, Ellen and Ryan who stood behind Javier had folded their hands against their chest. With a straight glance at him, Shawn Johnson, they had the angry expressions plastered on their face.

When Mr. Shawn noted that none of them held any concern for him, he raised his guards. In the next movement, he saw Javier picking up the nearby chair before he placed it in front of him and sat on it.

There was the dangerous smile that had traced his lips, and the winter mist covered his eyes. No, for now, he could feel that this man was too foreign to him.

"What I mean is that, while you might have the tinge of feelings left for me after your plan actually failed that day...but me? I don't have even the slightest worry for you." Javier told bluntly.

Javier jerked his head back to sit there and tilt his head, "You have no idea how much satisfaction it gives to see you in this condition, tied with the ropes and...so helpless.."

"Don't forget that I'm your dad!"

"My dad? My dad died the day he let me die just for the sake of ruby.. .against my own wish!"

....
