The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 386 - Teenage Love!

"But there is a lot to talk about, Olivia. Don't act stubborn." was all that Austin told her before he dragged her out of the hospital.

She had no intention to actually create a scene, especially in the middle of everyone.

It was never her intention and getting others' attention over there would be the last resort available with her.

Austin simply brought her out of the hospital when he literally, didn't stop even outside. Rather, he brought her to his car where she finally broke his grip over her hand.

There was annoyance that was spread all over Olivia's eyes where she felt a strong urge to literally slap this man.

However, knowingly, this will only showcase how weak she was in front of him. "So..tell me, what do you want to talk about?"

"How are things out here?" he asked without his unusual tone, to which Olivia just nodded her head, "Good. Just how you wanted me to do, I had actually turned into Jack's secretary. I'm currently working under his department."

"And Lucas didn't react when you told him about your decision to change the position?"

Back in his mind, Austin didn't believe that the man wouldn't react. Olivia was someone confidential who has all the leak poles of the man.

And because of the same reason, he likes to keep Olivia closer to him. At least this is the reason with which he convinced himself throughout the years

Olivia didn't change her expressions except to answer with the little hasty tone, "It is how things have been. I did what you wanted and...it was all my idea. Don't ask details."  She was still aloof, looking professional.

Her eyes were shining with the dryness that was covering her layer of distantness as well as discomfort started to trace her heart.

Telling him how she convinced Lucas and what she actually told him, wasn't on her wish list as well.

Her wordings and attitude seemed to irk him, but then he remembered that now, he likes Jennifer now.

This lady...was simply his first love whom...he had suppressed over the years.

The same love which one goes through in their teenage...

Taking a deep breath, he tugged his back in his pocket. Standing with the support of the car behind him,  he looked above himself to gaze at the clear sky that was blue, "You still hate me?"

Till now Olivia had folded her hands in front of the chest. She was looking around herself to be more cautious, in the hope of not being seen by someone known.

Afterward, she answered, "If I can love you.....I do have the right to even love you."

"Nevertheless, you never responded or reciprocated with anything." was all that Olivia told him as she realized the bitter circumstances from which she has actually lifted herself.

It was no bluff that they had an uncertain past, where they encountered each other at the toughest spot of their lives. He helped her, so did she.

But their standards were never matched ever.... He was the CEO of the business empire while she is normally a secretary...

Or probably, when he found her, she wasn't even in any position to be called a secretary. Rather, she was a mere girl, with no shelter or any space to even survive.

Fortunately, by the turns of events, they did cross each other's paths.

He asked her to work for him, and she agreed without thinking about her own feelings. Who would have suggested that she will end up like a man like Lucas...?

"At least I was better than Lucas. Isn't it so?" As these words traveled to her ears, Olivia's lips curved upwards. "Better? He has the ability to provide me with what I want. Not someone like you who...forget about it."

Olivia was being extra careful. From the time to time she constantly gets around to make the note that no one was there.

But her actions were caught directly by Austin, who also sensed her state of being alarmed.

"Are you afraid that someone will see you with me?" he asked as the eagerness to learn the answer consumed him.

Yet, it was unknown whether it was the happy feeling that surfaced, a feeling of dejection that she wanted to hide in front of the world in coming contact with him.

Initially, Olivia didn't answer either. She was just tightly slipped into her words; she can't even determine this by herself.

But then, as his eyes were already stagnant over her, she finally muttered, "I don't wanna be caught by anyone with you."

"Am I that bad?'' Was this necessary to ask, Austin considered himself to put forward the dumbest question he could even raise in front of her?

But Olivia got no answer to actually reply to him, as both of their attention was simply distracted when they heard a soft yet domineering voice behind them.

"Olivia, what are you doing with the man?"

A distant voice pulled them out of their interaction when Olivia's smile already faded with time. She could feel the chills drawing over her shoulder as she gripped her top tightly. 'How come Lucas arrived here?'

She wasn't expecting him to show him here. Didn't he say that he had no time?

Her lips parted when they started to shiver badly. It was hard to say that nothing happened since it was almost impossible for her to stay calm.

Did he listen to everything?

Subconsciously, she turned around slowly and gradually with her heart beating in the track, "L-Lucas...what ar..are you doing here?" Only Olivia knew how much effort was gathered by her to keep the faint smile.

Lucas walked by her side before he slipped his hand over her waist, pulling her slightly closer to his body.

She was pushed into his embrace, forced to look into his eyes, "I told you to actually deliver the fruits..but why are you talking with this man..?"

"Do you know him from before?Hmm?"
