The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 312 - Weird Guy!

Uncontrollable things were happening around, making Javier fall for this beautiful lady from Smith's land.

One thing which he did accept inform of everyone as if his friends that yes... he does..love her.

He had committed a mistake that Ryan feared the most. A girl from the smiths land whom he can never have, neither can he confess because God never gave him that much courage ever in his lifetime.

There were many instances, giving him the opportunity to face her.

However, his luck and heart were never supported. Not once but many times when Javier allowed his courage to be tempered towards Jennifer, even at her back.

This morning as usual, but Jennifer found it late. Due to the late-night studies, especially a lot of gossips with Hannah, she found it hard to open her eyes in the morning

Fortunately, she didn't get late enough.

When Jennifer arrived in the classroom, the teacher wasn't present yet. 'Thankgod.. otherwise I would have been attacked and asked to stand out throughout the lecture today..'

Taking a deep breath, Jennifer was ready to go and sit on her regular seat.

But then, she noticed that her seat was already occupied by the others.

Not only that, since Hannah went to campaign for her dear boyfriend's election, there was no one to save a seat for her.

The entire class was filled and the only option left was the seat in the last… just before those two bad boys of the classroom.

'I will have to sit near the weirdo?' At this thought, her eyes narrowed but with no other options, she quickly occupied that space.

Many of the boys there were already shocked, some ready to flirt with her at the sight that the topper of her classroom had joined them.

However, the one who felt the utmost discomfort was none other than Ryan.

Instantly he stared at Javier who didn't show his eyes to either of them. His face was on his books, but he knew that there's no way that Javier hadn't noted her presence.

Nudging his elbow, Ryan and Javier looked at this face. 'She is here..' he signaled via his eyes to which Javier simply nodded.

But he averted his gaze without n any suspicious manner, which was already surpassing Ryan. 'How is he able to keep calm when his crush is sitting just across from him?' Jennifer and Javier's seats can be termed in a diagonal way while Ryan sat just behind Jennifer.

There was the distance between them, that was the pathway or the steps to the cross.

Javier had no intention to talk but Ryan wasn't of the same mindset.

Tapping on Jennifer's shoulders, he changed his voice to that of the little boy, "Why are you sitting here?"

Jennifer turned around to look at Ryan to reply, "Those seats are already taken up by the others. I had no other option."

"Oh, I thought that you might have also started to be one of us. How can I forget a topper like you will always study and study." hearing this star from Ryan, made Jennifer frown deeply. A fresh curve over her forehead when she answered with the same attitude, "Who would like to associate themselves with third class people? Who knows nothing.. but.." her gaze traveled to see the rest of them, including Javier. "...just drinking and then asking for sober medicines. First of all, you all should go and get yourself tested, who knows how many germs you all carry within yourself."

Her answer wasn't liked by either of the present bad boys but then, Javier signaled Ryan to keep his mouth shut. Provided the glare from Javier, made Ryan zip his mouth on this.

At the same time, the teacher arrived for the first lecture when the process of explaining started on the whiteboard.

Jennifer and the rest of the class concentrated, including the bad boys since there are possibilities that this lady… might get them in trouble by complaining.

But in the middle of the class, Jennifer can sense her own throat being dry. 'I should drink water..' She took her bottle out of her bag but found it all empty. ``Looks like I forgot to refill it..'

In their classes, there was a strict rule to not get out amidst the lecture. Knowing that she will probably get angry, she rotates her face to stare at Ryan, "Do you have water?"

"Water!? Who brings water bottles at this age?"  Ryan can't help hu exclaimed. For him, these things were of none else but that of the kindergarten group children.

His answer wasn't liked by her at all. 'Asking them is a true blunder…' She already knew that.

Just on the stage when she's going to turn around and manage with her dry throat, her eyesight caught the sight of one of the bags having a bottle in it.

This time, without asking the other person she took the bottle out, and without letting her lips touch the surface of the cup, she drank the liquid. "Hmm.." this shocked, both parties, when Ryan and Javier's eyes widened in shock.

More likely to say, it was Javier who was caught off guard by her bold actions. 'Did she just drink from my bottle?! But it didn't have the water if she thinks..'

Jennifer, who finished drinking, gave the same bottle back to the black hoodie guy, "Sorry, I took it without asking but...this tastes different. Is there something you added in your water?"

"N..no.." came a reply when she heard the weirdo's voice for the very first time ever.

Until now, he had kept mum from the very start of the day. "Oh, but it does taste something else.. wait let me put that to my bottle.." she was ready for it so Javsir cut her hand.

He snatched the bottle out of her hand and kept it in his bag without even uttering a single word.

His actions were a bit of a surprise but she didn't mind. 'At least he could have said no.... why to snatch?'

"Such a weird guy…"

…..

Things progressed very soon. The years passed and Javie kept his gaze only at one person, and that was his Jennifer …

However, his heart was never able to gather enough courage to actually go and confront her by the same, by letting his feelings come over his lips.

For him, that was the most difficult phase.

Yet that never hindered his process to fall deeper and deeper into her love… The way she smiled, studied, and made soft expressions, always made his heart skip a beat for her.

And this was only for her…

The night was dense when Ryan and Javier were taking a walk in the field. With their hands tugged together, a cold breeze was hitting their faces.

On the other hand, Ryan rubbed his hands together to look at the man, "So, what have you decided? Go back to the states?"

"That is what I have to do. Mother's company is left alone. Brother said clearly that he won't handle it. The only option left is me and….probably, I can't let my mother's sole wish go into the water either." Javier answered with the utmost seriousness.

"But...what about things here? Your uncle and grandfather might not approve of this." Hearing this statement, only made Javier's lips turn into a straight line.

Subconsciously, he bit his lower lip to realize the pattern he is living in, "They won't but I have no other option. I have to go...I will convince them by hook or crook."

"And your father? You are planning to reside with that mistress?" The name of Shirley only made his mood turn sour.

A grim expression took after his entire emotions, "Never, I have my own place to stay. That would be the last place I would like to even reside...under the same roof as them.."

"But Amaira is your sibling, Javier." The name seemed too odd from Ryan's mouth. He never let his sentiments come on his brows and Javier seemed off to even note the same, "You don't have to worry about this. She lives there as a Johnson, not as my half-sister. And...Charles is always there for her."

But then, his gaze moved to see a girl, holding a glass and bottle or down in her hands. The position of his brows shifted immediately, 'Jennifer? What is she doing here alone..at this hour?'

He wasn't convinced but that alarmed him to the next core. Looking back at Ryan, he said, "You go back. I have some work to handle..I will be back in a few minutes."

"Alright." without questioning or doubting, Ryan left for his dorm.

In his absence, Javier turned around to stare in the midst of the center of the field to find her alone, probably hurt.

The current situation made his heart squeeze on seeing her so low, 'I should just go to her and see what happened with her…' with these current thoughts which ran inside his mind, Javier brought the mask from his pocket to cover his face.

What was visible were his eyes which no one could even recognize.

Making his way towards Jennifer, what he came across was the girl, already absorbed in the next world due to the alcohol present in her hand.

"Jennifer Taylor…" he slightly called her name, to receive a glare from her side. "W-Who..ar..are you?"

"What are you doing here?" he dozed her question and threw another one at her, which made her eyes frown, "W-wh..why should I..talk with...a stranger?"
