The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 267 - Ex-Boyfriend

"You must be kidding with us right now!" The younger son immediately exploded with the horror written all over his face.

The news delivered to him was almost out of proposition.... this might be some kind of joke, he thought.

Contrary to how the young son reacted, their father showed no difference in his expressions. Neither did he look too shocked, nor too surprised. Standing in the same place, none of them even predicted what was going inside his mind.

"Y-yes.. she is alive. I got my links checked. And after twenty-five years, father.. we have found her one trace.. this is seriously a miracle.." V commented when he almost can't believe his own ears that he just told them.

Yet no one even had any idea about the turmoil that surfaced inside the old man's heart, as it was on the brink of almost breaking into pieces but the news was somewhat relief as well.

"Where Is she?" The seriousness didn't leave the speech but none cared, "We still have to find the exact place. But it is confirmed that she is alive. Surely she is!"

At this point, the father turned around and walked back to his window to stare out. The children behind him were also fucked to the next level as his actions made no sense to them.

Why was his father even reacting in such a wrong way?

But they had no courage to even mutter a single word.

The drop in the room was evident when they all wanted to say something… and ask but the sadness that lingered around made them seal their mouth.

But before they could even ask or question him, father's eyes gleamed with emotions, "Is this reliable? I Don't want any rumor or wrong information to make me happy, by the way."

"Totally.. this is what I have heard and I'm pretty much sure that this is the absolute truth. You won't have to worry about that..'' the son answered as his face showed a clear and exact relief.

The relief which he was looking through the past years, has finally settled down today. The other sibling of his failure to even utter anything since their breathing was already uneven. This was no less than any magic in front of them.

"Find out where she is. I want my daughter.. I want to see her… Bring back the Princess of Saskatoon."

….

At the same time, when Hannah was resting in the small cottage that belonged to the Johnsons. Completing her work already, she stepped out of the room to find the man, lazily dozing off on the couch.

"Hey, you oldie! Get your ass up! What have you been doing till now?" Hannah's yell seemed to disturb him when he passed her a deathly glare but no difference was made to her.

"Stop as if that glare will scare me. I will pluck out those black eyes!" Her shrill voice almost made Ellen's headache grow more. On noticing him saying nothing, she called out, "Brown."

The word made him frown, "What brown?" In return, Ellen shifted his eyes to say, "My eye color is black, not brown. Don't get confused about this."

A crumbled look plastered on her face when she made her way to the couch and titled there, "I don't care if your eye color is blue or black. I don't have to marry you."

As the lady kept on mumbling even in between her breath, Ellen knew that there was no rest in his way. Instead, he sat on the couch with his legs folded. Taking the cousin from the other side, he stared at her with an aloof expression, "Are you seven years old child? You keep on moving from one place to another."

"That is how I'm, if you have any issue with this.. go on and talk with Javier and convince him to let me live alone here "

He is like her bodyguard but she isn't in need of one. Staying with her throughout the days, was already heartbreaking. But the best midst this all she found was that he knows cooking well.

'At least I won't be left hungry.'

Due to this quality of his, she was willing to adjust with this oldie man despite her heart craving to give a call to Javier immediately. Giving him a look, she answered back, "What!? Do you ever say this? If You don't, don't even dare to stare at me like that."

As Hannah's said those words, she took her to leave to walk towards the dining room. Taking the jar of water, she pour the glass for herself and drank it. Meanwhile, Ellen stayed silent but then, opened his mouth to remind her, "There was a call for you last night.."

"Last night? Must be a work call…" Hannah didn't pay much of her attention to it when she drank the glass of water and then made her way to the open kitchen to find something to fill her tummy.

But his expressions were still hard, "It wasn't a work call."

"Really? At.. what time did it come?" Hannah asked subconsciously when she opened one of the drawers, unfortunately, found nothing of her taste. 'Neither are here biscuits or anything.. gish.... this man is so boring. He knows something about grocery shopping..'

When she was cursing him in between her breaths, Ellen mentioned, "The time.. when you were already asleep on the couch...I wanted to wake you up but..you were sharp asleep.."

"Strange.. no one should call at that time.." the word left her mouth on their own when her hands were busy in finding something useful, hence failed.

But then her eyes shifted to see one of her favorite biscuits to eat. Opening one of the shelves, she took one of the packs of the biscuit out. Tearing it, she was ready to eat it when his comment entered her ears, making her dumbstruck from head to toe.

"Did you break up recently? he said that.. he is your ex-boyfriend."
