The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 179 - Breaking Her Own Rules!

Meanwhile, Jennifer was in the kitchen, roaming from side to side while biting her nails.

The idle butler was trying to prepare something unknown to her.

"Uncle... What are you doing with this water?" She came with a questionable look when Butler answered, "That is to cure Young Master Charles headache in the morning. It will make it easier for him to go back to work."

"Oh.. do we have to give it back to him right now?" Receiving a shock from the butlers, made her aware that the work was entirely his and she had nothing to do with the same.

Not trying to disturb him anymore, Jennifer decided to head back to her room and stay there, in the wait for Javier to return back and explain some basic things.

Although her sole reason to leave Charles alone with Javier, was to give some privacy yet she was equally worried about her man when she earlier noticed how badly Charles was consumed with alcohol.

The image was freshly printed in her head which wasn't fading away easily as well.

At last, Jennifer arrived at her room and waited inside, for a few more minutes, until fifteen minutes passed by there was no sign of any other person.

'Where is he stuck? Will he sleep with his brother only?'

She doubled the same since both brothers aren't that easygoing too.

Yet, with the high possibility of the same, Jennifer decided to retard back to the bed without Javier.

Taking the blanket over her body, she switched the lights off but let the curtains of the window at the side so that there is somewhat natural light coming from the window.

With heaviness and tiredness spreading all over her head, Jennifer finally dozed off to sleep in a few minutes of lying under the soft blanket.

The deep slumber of her was broken straight away when there was movement beside her.

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry.. go back to sleep. Nothing happened."

A dull voice pulled her unsure feeling out. Changing her position, she faced him with her half-opened eyes. "You were late? Is Charles.. brother better now?"

"Yes, he is. Will be fine till morning as the butler also prepared the soup for him." Javier didn't try to sleep immediately.

Instead, it seems he doesn't feel sleepy at all.

'Am I thinking wrong then?' It was hard to guess the same yet she let the thought wander back into her mind and did not try to indulge in the same.

Bringing the blanket near her neck, she closed her eyes again and drove back to the dreamland of hers, though Javier kept awake in the middle of the night.

He was in the consideration of all the events that took place in his life, recall how he left his brother in the past.

'Well… hopefully Siera's return with her child and husband.. will. not disturb our messy life anymore.'

….

The next morning wad as usual.

Javier was supposed to get up in the morning, to head to his office but Jennifer found the bed already empty

'Why is his bed so cold? Did he wake up really early?' She was really confused since he didn't mention anything related to it.

Moreover, at night as well, Javier went back to bed very late.

In her accordance, he wasn't taking care of his health and not taking it at all, seriously.

Removing the blanket, she wore the slipper and headed downstairs in her nightgown. On the ground floor, her eyes swept across the people, Amaira and Shirley in the drawing, discussing something.

Averting her gaze she flew to look for Javier but doesn't find his appearance.

At last, when she was checking the garden, her gaze fell on the two major people in the garden, taking a morning walk.

'So.. Javier woke up early because of his brother..'

….

Meanwhile, while taking a walk, Javier and Charles were involved in a conversation which was left in the mid last night

With his hands tucked in his pocket, Javier asked, "So, you drank the hangout curing soup that butler made especially for you?"

"Yes. That was helpful to ease my mind. I woke up around five in the morning.. And the headache was too hard to handle." Charles replied, looking totally sober at least now.

There wasn't a single sign of despair yet stayed expressionless through the walk.

"You remember what I told you last night?"

Instead of beating around the bush, Javier straightforwardly arrived at the main topic.

A faint smile lingered on Javier's face when he stopped and faced his brother with his narrowed eyes. "Si is coming back."

Receiving a nod from his side, Charles continued, "It is shocking to know. We have no idea why she is showing herself there after so many years."

They were clueless. The time she left, her words were very simple and clear that she would not like to step foot in this state anymore.

Yet, the change in circumstances has finally made her land once again in the same estate.

"Surely, she must be having some big reasons otherwise, this won't be the outcome." Knowing his girl very well, Charles can already determine how that specific woman thinks.

Especially when you are aware and know her from each corner and her soul

Javier didn't agree to this. In his view, her arrival with her husband is pretty much normal, since he has no clue about Charles and Siera's last conversation.

"Maybe she is here to meet her old mom? I still remember that.. she is here and too old." Javier made a guess but was very much uncertain.

Charles stood straight and looked at his brother from the corner of his eyes, "Her mother died one year ago… she isn't' there for the same but maybe.. for something more., which has finally made her break her own rules."

....

Author's Words:
