The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 174 - Invited On A Dinner!

"....And that is why we are planning to expand our current business. There will be no additional cost to the current one yet, there will be more working capital in the firm."

With this statement, Austin pressed the stop button from his remote, making the screen vanish and the presentation came to an end.

Turning around, he faced Charles with his utmost professionalism face. "So..? what is your opinion?"

For few minutes, Charles didn't do anything in return.

His fingers were around his lips as if he was in deep thought regarding the information that was provided to him.

After taking some time for himself, he finally answered back, "Mr. Ausyin, firstly I would like to say that I'm highly impressed. The way you have put forward your work.. and the plans, in the most simple and … understanding language, are amazing."

Getting praises brought a faint smile curved on his lips, "Glad that you took a liking toward my work. Hearing something appreciable for seniors means a lot."

"When we talk about your work I would like to say that the deal you are offering is quite brilliant. Working capital involved.. can be met easily since we have good cash flow with us for that. Am I right Ferry?"

To confirm his question, he threw the question toward his secretary who nodded her head.

Not only that she added, "Moreover, whatever Mr. Brown told us... if that succeeds then we can expect the project can meet its working cost itself.."

"Very well said. That's is what we will aim first." Austin answered back with his confidence.

He wasn't a fool either.

It was very well kept in his mind that a big businessman like Johnson, will never be fooled too easily.

Moreover, if he wishes to achieve for what he is here for.. then he will have to come with some excellent work to present and get in the good books of the man.

After all, experience does matter and he was ready to let his business flourish this way too until his motive isn't fulfilled.

Bringing his body towards the table, Charles kept his hand over the glass top and answered with determination.

"Well Mr. Austin, I will finally say that you have highly impressed me with your work. I'm thinking... if we can go ahead and be partners for this then?"

Charles's words brought a smile to Austin's face.

Nodding His head, the man stood up from their respective seats and walked towards each other.

Extending his hand first, Charles's eyes held some determination that wasn't easy to capture.

"Looking forward to working with Mr. Brown. Hopefully, this venture will bring our friendship to new heights too."

"We are on the same path in this." That was all that Austin spoke.

"May I know.. if you are here alone or with your family?" Charles asked, going in the lane of being a little bit informal.

Austin smiled to say, "I'm young. My parents have settled abroad, my homeland. It is just me, traveling for work-related methods.. from time to time."

Charles expected something similar since the man looked quite fresh

Afterward, when Austin felt that Charles was convinced with his theory, he heard something unexpected out of Charles's mouth.

"Since we are planning to advance in business, and you are new here as well...came to our beautiful state just now, why not you come up for dinner at my place tomorrow? This way you will be able to meet my father and brother as well."

…..

Meanwhile, two days have passed since Jennifer and Javier had the talks.

Regarding Hannah, she agreed to accompany her and will soon transfer by her company itself which was another good news for Jennifer.

Currently, Javier was at his office where he was undergoing several documents.

Reading them with furrowed eyes, he wasn't able to digest many facts but at the same time, an elderly man guided him throughout the work process.

"So… you mean this can't be done this way?" Javier asked while examining the keyword that the elder man told him, "You can't. As we have read that no one.."

The man explains the reasons with patience which also made Javier realize where he was making a mistake.

At last, it was almost night when the elder man took his leave to go back to his house.

At this time, did Javier sighed in relief as he sat on the armchair and raised his head against the back?

'It.. was a hectic day for sure..' not because he had many things to do and learn a lot from the mistakes.

But surely, it will take time for him to establish his own name in the market.

"If nor for the uncle... I don't know-how would have I handled everything myself.." with not much prior experience, he was getting things slowly and steadily related to the business field, which will be taken over by him.

Despite her being at his home, he has to handle other matters related to his company things which were left behind for him to do by.. his dear mother.

His phone rang and looking at the dialer, he picked it up with laziness and answered in a tired voice, "Now what Ellen?"

"You should check your mail... It is.. something important. Read it once."

"Is this related to Lucas? Gosh... I'm so tired." Javier can feel himself too much exhausted from the entire day.

"Just read it once and you will know about whom is it." Answered Ellen, but the man was too persistent to beat around the bush.

"Either tell me.. or leave it. I will check afterward." Javier can feel himself on the verge of having a breakdown due to exhaustion.

Without food, he was feeling dizzy too.

But Ellen's next words almost made his laziness and inactivity turn into alertness when his eyes immediately opened up to see the mails.

"It.. is related to your brother.. and his.. ex-girlfriend."
