The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 115 - Mistress's Daughter

Insulting her mother? Jennifer rolled her eyes at the comment passed by Shirley to gain sympathy from Amaira's side.

The girl just returned from her university and here goes the drama to witness of the family members.

Neither did she get rest nor someone asked her for water. All Shirley did was to express her worries.

Jennifer felt real sympathy for the girl, seeing how much was she being tortured at this place.

'Amaira isn't even getting the proper environment of the family but a dramatic mother… who knows nothing but to create a mess during everything.' Jennifer's heart painted seeing the puzzled expression on Amaira's face.

"What do you mean mother?" Amaira asked, slightly worriedly but not showing any kind of attachment.

"They, Javier, and this new girl are… saying that they will drag me outta this house.." the sobs in between added more climax to the entire situation.

At this stage, not only Jennifer but Javier too was looking forward to seeing Amaira's reaction, although he never made it too obvious on his face.

Quietly, he continued to finish his food, after all, he doesn't have the entire day to just listen and stay for studies talks instead of doing his work at his company.

Amaira's lips lifted when she replied back, "Are you in your senses? I'm pretty much sure that you must have said something to him after his return."

Shock and astonishment were written all over Shirley's face. She opened her mouth to revolt with the fire but controlled her urge to yell. Otherwise, her entire plan will be ruined.

Bringing the fake tears into her eyes, Shirley's entire face cringed and crumbled with pain. "You.. don't even believe your mother?!? Amaira, I'm your dear mom, I have given birth to you yet you think that your brother is great?"

"I never said that you are wrong but I just mentioned that you must have done something wrong which might have instigated brother to say those things to you." In her heart as well, Amaira understood that there was no way her brother would simply go against her mother.

Living under the same roof, until now she is old enough to analyze the nature and behavior of someone, including her mother.

"Amaira!! Here your brother is threatening me and you are taking his side? How unfilial child are you?" Shirley raised her voice which echoed in the entire dining room.

Subconsciously, Jennifer's hand moved to her ears to check if blood was coming out or not. 'This lady has such a shrill voice yet she shouts like a madman.' Jennifer's attitude automatically changes for this lady.

Earlier she was addressing as one of those normal homewreckers but now, she found her to be annoying on the level of core!

"Mother. For once, can you stop yelling at me? I had enough of you. I don't speak anything against you and hear you with silence but for once, now that brother Javier has returned, is running out of the past important? can't we actually live as a normal family?"

Amaira was not only annoyed but irritated by the current scenario.

Her bag was hanging slightly at her shoulders. Her face was covered with tiredness and Jennifer took the notice of the same the first thing since she entered.

While speaking her words, Amaira ran to face her brother and Jennifer with a bright smile. "How have you been guys? Jennfier Taylor.. right?"

"I'm good. Will be living here for some time with your brother but I feel.. someone is not happy." Jennifer's eyes move to Shirley and continued ahead, "... with my arrival. what else can I do? I'm a pain in the ass which will make one cry.."

A light chuckle passed after what she spoke and Amaira felt the same way. The lady was outspoken and fierce. Taking note of the same in her mind, she calculated that engraving her won't fit her any good.

Moreover, she isn't looking for someone who will try to harm her family as Amaura's reality already came in front of her, as her image faded away while developing a good perception of the lady.

"Since you are here for a long period, would you like to spend some time with me?" Not Only Jennifer but Shirley as well as Javier were taken back by her question too.

Never in their wildest dreams did they expect that the timid and the daughter of the mistress would try to have some quality time with the members.

Aren't the children of the mistress calculative and cunning just like their mother?

Won't they seek the power That Javier and Charles have? Jennifer was too in the same daze and thoughts.

Her heartfelt conflicted but seeing the smile on the girl's face kind of melted her stone heart.

At last, she simply nodded her head, "I would love to. When I will be free enough and you don't have any work too."

"Perfect!" A smile appeared on Amaira's face which looked genuine in her eyes. Meanwhile, Javier heard the exchange of words but had nothing to say with respect to it.

Neither did he stop Jennifer nor did he yell at Amaira. After all, Jennifer isn't any child who needs protection from his own sister… who he knows too well.

She is too soft-hearted to hurt anyone, far away from Jennifer.

But Shirley's mind can't digest when her own daughter was ganging up with her enemies and those who were previously insulting her.

"Amaira!! Have you lost your fucking mind? You want me to lock you in the house and keep you under house arrest!? '' Shirley yelled at Amaira when she held her arm and made her face towards her.

Her lack of sympathy is all gone now replaced with deep fury. Amaira's eyes didn't click away. She faced her own mother with utmost calmness but the calm only added more fuel to the existing ignited fire.

"Looks like you need a lesson first!"

Shirley's hand lifted up to slap her, which suddenly made Amaira shut her eyed tightly, keeping her hand in the front of her face to safeguard herself. At the same time, she tilted her face a bit as she stepped back. Her eyes narrowed in fear, waiting for the anticipated pain

Yet the pain never came to her. What exactly happened?
