The Infinite Mystery

The Purple-winged Nether Sparrow was coldly glaring at Qin Feng and Xu Shang. It didn't do anything to them while Xu Shang was explaining Qin Feng and clearing his doubts. It just patiently waited until it saw both Xu Shang and Qin Feng looking at it.

When Qin Feng brought Xu Shang out of the Mysterious Space, the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow was surprised. Its intelligence was already above a normal human. It knew many things that even a human at the peak of the Profound Star Continent might not know.

It knew that Xu Shang's sudden appearance out of nowhere was not normal. Either Xu Shang teleported here from some other place by casting a secret technique or Qin Feng must have pulled some sort of trick, resulting in Xu Shang's sudden appearance at this place.

It had already seen through Xu Shang's strength and knew although Xu Shang was strong, she was not strong enough to withstand a single attack from it. So, it didn't attack immediately and waited patiently, wanting to see what Qin Feng and Xu Shang were planning to do.

But all it saw was Xu Shang and Qin Feng discussing things and then both of them looked at it at once.

Xu Shang was ready to put her life on the line to provide Qin Feng an opportunity to escape this place. Although Qin Feng offered help previously, after hearing Xu Shang's explanation, he understood that his full strength was not even equal to an ants attack in front of the  Purple-winged Nether Sparrow.

No matter what he'll try, he wouldn't be able to even scratch the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow. How would he help Xu Shang then? Will he really have to let Xu Shang cover the back for him while he'll escape, leaving Xu Shang in grave danger?

No! He couldn't do that!

If he wants to escape, he'll have to escape with Xu Shang. He'll not put Xu Shang's life in danger for his sake.

Qin Feng immediately made up his mind and said to Xu Shang, "I have an idea. I know how we both can escape alive from the clutches of the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow."

"How?" Asked Xu Shang.

Qin Feng smiled and said, "Don't resist!"

Saying this, he immediately caught Xu Shang's hand and again put her inside the Mysterious Space of the Infinity Symbol. Xu Shang couldn't even react and in the next moment, she found herself inside the Mysterious Space.

"Qin Feng, what are you doing? Hurry up and let me out, otherwise, you'll die. I can not let you die no matter what. Let me out, you bastard!"

Xu Shang immediately started shouting. It was at this moment she understood that Qin Feng was not planning to put her life in danger and escape by himself.

Well, this was exactly what Qin Feng was thinking.

He knew that even if he died, he'll revive back in time. But if Xu Shang dies, there wouldn't be a second chance for her.

Hearing Xu Shang's continuous call, he directly cut off his senses from the Mysterious Space. He also restricted Xu Shang's ability to see outside the Mysterious Space.

"You bastard!"

Xu Shang gritted her teeth and clenched her fist tightly. Now that she couldn't see what was happening outside, she knew calling Qin Feng would do no benefit. All she could do now was to wait here patiently and pray for Qin Feng's safety.

But at this moment, her gaze landed on the Butterfly Mark on top of her left hand. It was something given by her master. She looked at it and tears appeared in her eyes as she muttered, "Master, what should I do now? I failed to complete the mission to protect Qin Feng... Sob! Sob!"

Her master gave her this Butterfly Mark and told her that she could travel through worlds to find Qin Feng with the help of this Butterfly Mark.

Unlike Qin Feng's Butterfly Mark that could save him from ten life-threatening dangers, Xu Shang's Butterfly Mark could only make her travel from one world to another.

Qin Feng had long forgotten about the Butterfly Mark on his chest. He only had six chances out of ten left. He had already used up four chances.

Right now, Qin Feng was glaring at the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow and could see the confused look in its two large purple eyes.

The Purple-winged Nether Sparrow was confused because previously, he witnessed Xu Shang's sudden appearance and now, it witnessed her sudden disappearance from its line of sight. It could not understand what kind of technique Xu Shang used to disappear that even it could not sense anything.

It didn't even feel a slight fluctuation of energy when Xu Shang disappeared. How was it possible?

Even if Xu Shang teleported, the energy fluctuation must have occurred but nothing happened when Xu Shang disappeared. It even felt for a short while that it was hallucinating and fell in some sort of illusion formation laid by Qin Feng.

But again, it didn't feel any fluctuation of energy. Hence, it was impossible that Qin Feng used some illusion to make it see strange scenes.

What exactly was happening?

It could not understand!

"Come, show me what you've got?"

Qin Feng knew that he could not escape nor could he save his life, so he directly provoked the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow by pointing his index finger at it and then gesturing it down while telling it to show him what it got.

Anyways, he'll not truly die. What is there a need to worry about?

"Screech!"

The Purple-winged Nether Sparrow was really provoked when it saw Qin Feng's behavior. How dare a puny human to provoke it in this manner. This human must be courting death.

It opened its beak and particles of purple light gathered together, forming a huge ball of purple light above the Purple-winged Nether Sparrow's beak.

"Shau!"

Then it lowered its head and a thick beam of purple light directly shot towards Qin Feng at an incredible speed.

Qin Feng had no way to resist this attack.

Instead of cowering in fear, he spread his hands wide and welcomed the purple light beam to attack his chest, but... 

But it was at this moment he felt his right-side chest burning and saw the Purple Beam of terrifying light stopped in mid-air.

Qin Feng was confused and looked at his surroundings in confusion. He saw everything has stopped moving. The Purple-winged Nether Sparrow that was floating in mid-air had no movement of its large body. Not even the purple flame on its wings and tail was burning fiercely now. Although the purple flame was still there, they were not burning and there was not the slightest movement.

The tree leaves stopped moving because of the blowing wind.

It was the entire world that was stopped. It was as if the time itself stopped.

A huge fluctuation of energy burst out from Qin Feng's body, resulting in the explosion of the upper-half clothes on Qin Feng's body.

Qin Feng saw the beautiful Butterfly Mark shining with blue light as if it was alive.

Only now did Qin Feng remember that he still had the Butterfly Mark on his body and there were still six chances left. He knew that the Butterfly Mark would activate on its own whenever Qin Feng encounter a life-threatening danger.

"I almost forgot about it?"

Qin Feng heaved a sigh of relief and an excited expression appeared on his face.

Looking at the surroundings that seemed to have stopped, Qin Feng was really greatly shocked. The power that stopped the time itself was erupted out from the Butterfly Mark given by Ye Zhiqui. From this, Ye Zhiqui's strength could be imagined, it could be imagined how terrifying she herself is?

Qin Feng still remembered what Xu Shang told him previously. She told him that her master, Ye Zhiqui, was currently sitting on the throne where Qin Feng used to sit in his previous life.

Suddenly, a beautiful butterfly that was made up of energy flew out from the Butterfly Mark on Qin Feng's chest and screeched loudly.

A shocking shockwave spread out that destroyed this already destroyed place even further, turning it into real ruins that seemed to have experienced an earthshattering battle.

This shockwave was enough to shatter the beam of purple light into countless fragments of light that scattered in the air.

Everything returned to normal at this moment. The time once again started to flow normally like always.

The Purple-winged Nether Sparrow saw a huge Butterfly floating in front of Qin Feng, protecting him.. It also saw countless fragments of his previous attack dissipating in thin air.
