Chapter 94 - Auction(End)

Chapter 94: Auction(End)

"One million low soul stones!" The first bid came right after Mark announced the start of the bidding. It was the first bid from any VIP room.

"1.5 million low soul stones!" The shock of the crowd hadn't subsided when another outrageous bid came.

"1.6 million low soul stones!"

"1.7 million low soul stones!"

"1.8 million low soul stones!"

With every bid, the bidding war became intense. While the crowd had a dumbfounded expression, seeing in no time the starting bid of 500,000 low soul stones turning into 2.3 million low soul stones.

While in the crowd, the manager of the weapon store had a shocked and excited expression on his face after seeing the price rise so rapidly. Although the auction house received 5% of the selling fee, he had already made a profit of over a million dollars.

"2.5 million low soul stones!" The bid came to a sudden halt as the bidders started thinking about their budget.

"You won't find a weapon of this caliber easily," Mark said, seeing the bid coming to a sudden halt.

"Three million low soul stones!" The bid came from the VIP room where Aakesh was seated. It was one of the men in the group, his sole purpose of coming to this auction was to buy the bow.

"Three million, one!"

"Three million, two!"

"Three million, three!" Mark announced the end of the bid.

"Yes!" While the group in the VIP room cheered after their bid was the winning bid.

Since he won't get the bow until the end of the auction, a hurried expression appeared on his face.

The next item for the auction was the egg of a Level 30 Wolf, and it was finally sold at the bid of 1.7 million low soul stones. It was the daughter of the guard-chief that bought the wolf egg.

"It's finally the time for the last item for today's auction," Mark announced with a smile as he waved his hand, and an animal skin appeared in his hand. He had been carrying this item with him from the start.

"It's a meditation art that could help a person to reach up to Level 10. To know more about it, you've to buy it," He said with a smile as he didn't introduce any information about the meditation art.

"The starting bid would be 600,000 low soul stones, with every increase in the bid at least 50,000," Mark announced the start of the bidding.

"650,000 low soul stones!"

"700,000 low soul stones!"

Aakesh only looked at the bidding war as he didn't have enough money to bid. Since the meditation art wasn't a one-time use, he was confident that he could make a deal with the winner of the bid to give him the knowledge of the meditation art.

Several minutes passed, and the bidding war was still going on. The bid currently stood at 1.95 million low soul stones.

"2 million low soul stones!"

"2.05 million low soul stones!"

"3 million low soul stones!" every bid was going on with an increase of 50,000 low soul stones when suddenly someone directly bid 3 million low soul stones.

While in one of the VIP rooms,

"It seems someone wants the meditation art very badly," A man muttered while licking his lips.

"Young master, do you want to buy the meditation art!" A woman standing behind the man like a guard asked the man.

"No, but wouldn't it be fun if we increase the price of the product," The man smilingly said.

"4 million low soul stones!" The man bid right away.

Even Mark was taken aback by the sudden outrageous bid. He never expected the price to cross three million, but now the bid stood at four million.

"4.1 million low soul stones!" The next moment, another bid came from one of the VIP rooms.

The entire sports arena was silent and waited if another outrageous bid would come, but after waiting for a few seconds, no one exceeded the bid.

"4.1 million, one!"

"4.1 million, two!"

"4.1 million, three!" Mark announced the end of the bid with a smile on his face. He was the one who provided the meditation art for the auction as he had already found a better version for his guards.

***

The winner of the bid was the daughter of the chief of the guards. She had decided to buy the meditation art so that she could help the adventurer and gain favor from him, which in turn would make her father proud of her.

The final bid cost him at least a million more than she wanted, but she didn't care as money was the last of concern for her. Her father was not only the chief of the guards of Wolfden, only second to the town-head both in power and authority. He was also the head of the second richest family of Wolfden.

"Thank you for coming!" Mark then announced as the auction came to an end. The auction had gone better than he expected, as he earned a windfall from the meditation art alone.

Everybody started leaving the arena, while only those who had won the bids waited to get their winning items.

"Adventurer, you can have the meditation art," The girl smilingly told Aakesh.

"What do you want in return?" He expressionlessly asked as no one would spend 4 million on a product for nothing.

"A favor!" She responded right away.

"Okay!" Aakesh agreed to the proposal.

"Adventurer, I am Elsie," The girl then extended her hand for a handshake and introduced herself.

"I am Aakesh," Aakesh nodded and told her his name, but he didn't shake her hands.

Elsie awkwardly took her hands back while Aakesh felt a glare from one of the men in the group. He turned around to look at the man, but he looked away, seeing Aakesh finding out.

After a few minutes, a group came into their VIP room with the things they had bought. The man took the bow, Elsie took the egg and the meditation art after paying for the goods. Elsie then gave the meditation art to Aakesh.. He nodded and left the group after telling her to contact him when she needed the favor.
