The First Store System

Chapter 579

Chapter 579: The Mysterious Past!

Lilith heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that there was a spot available in Panagea for her. She wouldn’t have to leave the store empty-handed like the previous two times.

Lilith joked with Aakesh that he was the reason for her descending to the Primal dimension to enjoy her vacation of three days, but it was only half the truth. Panagea was in her consideration when she decided to do it.

For some reason, she had gotten attracted to the Panagea from the moment she heard about its introduction from Aakesh. She wasn’t clear about the reason behind her feeling such for it, hence the decision to spend time here.

She had gotten three days of vacation, which gave her a sufficient number of centuries to enjoy her stay in Panagea unless she got bored of it.

Since the spots were empty for Panagea, Lilith’s smile became broader and more freely. She then started having a conversation with Aakesh since she had met him after fifty years.

“What about that egg of the Chaos Whale?” Lilith suddenly remembered about the egg Vritrasura had given to Aakesh for rescuing his daughter.

When she was in the space inside the portal, she only thought it was special, but after returning to the third dimension, she searched about the Chaos Whale and the egg.

Many believed that the egg belonged to the ruler of the Chaos Whale, but in reality, it couldn’t be any more wrong.

The egg preceded even the birth of the ruler of the Chaos Whale’s race. Only a very few people knew about the extraordinary of the egg.

The egg belonged to the primogenitor of the Chaos Whale, but the bloodline wasn’t very pure, so it never hatched and became a strong warrior for the race. Instead, it became a treasure-consuming creature. The amount of Soul water required to make it stay alive would already be vast enough to shame oceans.

But since it descended from the primogenitor and the primogenitor mysteriously disappeared not long after. The members of the Chaos Whale race had been continuing to throw their treasures at the egg without caring about the cost, even though they weren’t sure whether the creature would hatch or not.

It was all told to Lilith by her teacher. Even her teacher wasn’t aware of why did Vritrasura become interested in the egg years ago, and if he felt interested in it, why did he give it to someone as a reward?

It was true that Aakesh did an incalculable favor on Jamini by clearing the world, but it didn’t reach such a limit where Vritrasura would hand Aakesh the egg.

The bloodline of the whale inside the egg wasn’t strong, but the members of the Chaos Whale race had their sentiments attached to the egg. Even to this day, the relations between the Asura and the Chaos Whale haven’t become better.

It was undeniable that the Asura race was the second mightiest race in all the Multiverse after the all-mightiest Devas. But even then, the members of the Chaos Whale race attacked any Asura sighted in their territories without caring for their status. They had once even attacked the son of the head of the Asura race, which in turn became a full-fledged war between the two races, sending shockwaves across the entire dimension.

But for some reason, Lilith’s teacher wasn’t aware why the war had come to a sudden stop before the higher-level members of both races could join it.

Even Lilith felt wondrous and had no answer; why did ‘He’ reward Aakesh with the egg? She even believed that ‘He’ got the egg in the first place for Aakesh, not for himself. Even her teacher felt it to be too exaggerated, but they still didn’t reject her conjecture.

“It is still very far from hatching,” Aakesh answered. Even he felt defeated by his inability to hatch the creature out.

Aakesh was aware of the techniques related to hatching the egg for the race of the Chaos Whale, but it didn’t work when he tried it on the egg.

Aakesh also thought of feeding his blood to the egg as he did to Lily for one hundred and eight years, but the system told him against it. The creature inside the egg would explode as there was a problem with it.

Aakesh could ask the system for help hatching the egg, but the price he needed to pay was too great for the current him, so he chose against it and decided to think about it in the future.

Since he had accepted the reward from Vritrasura, the creature inside the egg had already become his family member. He would surely hatch it. As for how long it would take, he wasn’t sure.

Lilith nodded since she expected things to be like this. The amount of time the egg had spent inside the treasure house of the Chaos Whale race had already lost the count of time, so if Aakesh succeeded in hatching the egg, wouldn’t that make the overlords of the ocean seem inferior in comparison to a single person.

Lilith then told Aakesh about what she learned about the egg from her teacher. She even shared her conjecture with Aakesh about Vritrasura stealing the egg from the race to hand it to him in the first place.

“Eh!” Even Aakesh couldn’t help but keep his calm after he heard the story of the egg. He also thought the egg to be the heir of the ruler of the Chaos Whale, not knowing that it had such a mysterious past.

Aakesh then focused on the conjecture made by Lilith. Even though he thought the same after hearing the story, the time difference between him and the historical battle of eleven seconds was countless. For creatures of power level like Vritrasura, time had no effect on them. The present, the past, and the future felt the same for them.

But there were still rules affecting them, or wouldn’t they become invincible. Only Devas were invincible in the Multiverse, and no other race came even close to their power.

Aakesh wanted to ask the system about this, but he controlled himself and didn’t waste his time. He already knew the answer.

Author’s rambling: What do you think why did Vritrasura do it? What’s the relationship between Aakesh and him?

(PS: Aakesh isn’t an Asura.)
