749 Struggle of the Participants(5)

Chapter 749: Struggle of the Participants(5)

After continuously traveling for three weeks, Garry and Maria finally reached their destination, where Garry had set Maria’s first battle.

“Teacher, where is this?” Maria asked as she and Garry currently stood at the entrance of a tiny village.

The smile on Garryá face had long disappeared since the situation wasn’t suitable for that.

“It’s time for you to get your revenge,” Garry told Maria.

A shocked expression appeared on Maria’s face as she couldn’t help but take a second look at her teacher. Even in her dreams, she didn’t expect her teacher to set such a situation.

When Garry had heard Maria’s story of how there was an enemy of her mother and why she was staying alone for all these years, Garry had asked her if she wanted help from him to have her revenge. At that time, Maria had refused since she wanted to do it with her own hands.

“Teacher, how did you find him?” Maria had countless questions in her head, but she could only utter this one from her shocked face.

Since the day she had become a student of Garry, they had been traveling together. Garry would rarely go on his own for a few hours in months, but Maria didn’t believe that those few rare hours were there to find out her mother’s killer.

“Since we have been traveling for this long, and you have officially become a Level 1 lifeform, I guess there is no point in hiding my background from you,” Garry responded with a smile that didn’t look happy. It contained a hint of sadness and a mix of anger.

“There are three continents in this world, and on each continent is an Empire. The Empire houses the mightiest of this world.”

“My full name is Garry Assath, and I am not a native of this continent. Instead, I come from the continent of Assath,” Garry introduced his full name to Maria for the first time.

The shock on Maria’s face got bigger as what Garry said had implications way beyond her level. Maria had lived on her own for around a decade, so she wasn’t very clear about status and power in the world, but after traveling with Garry for the past few years had made her somewhat understand the structure of the world and its inhabitants.

Having the same family name as the continent’s name could only mean that Garry belonged to one of the three Empires in this world.

Garry could sense the shock in his student’s heart, so he stopped and didn’t talk more about him. Just his introduction was enough to tell the reason he was able to find the location of Maria’s enemy.

“ARGH!” Maria let out a heart-rending scream as she finally killed the village head, her most hated enemy.

As Maria got trained by Garry for the past few years, her techniques were way better than the village head. The head had a chance of defeating Maria if he was an intermediate Level 1 lifeform, but unfortunately for him, he couldn’t have the successful breakthrough. He died in the end since he was no match for Maria at the same level.

“Mom, I did it!”

“Mom, I did IT!”

“MOM, I DID IT!”

Maria looked at the sky and yelled. Her voice got louder every second. Even those who didn’t know about the village head’s death came running after hearing the unfamiliar sound.

Garry had a smile on her face as he looked at his disciple finally achieving her goal. Now that she had accomplished her goal, Garry would mold her into the way of powerful lifeforms.

Garry was unaware that after killing the village head, the next goal in his disciple’s heart would shake the power structure of the entire world.

“Teacher, what do you think?” Maria asked her teacher as the man kneeling in front of her stated a proposal of peace.

It has been twenty-seven years since Maria was born into this world. The changes in the current and old Maria were so heaven-defying that even after a decade, Garry couldn’t believe it was his student.

That day after fulfilling her goal of avenging her mother, Maria began to think of conquering. At first, Garry rebuked her since he wanted an eccentric student who only loved training and not the vices that came with power.

But as time passed, Maria instead of giving up on her aim, became even more insistent on it.

No matter what Garry attempted, Maria refused to budge from her aim of conquering the entire world and unifying all three continents for the first time in the history of the world.

Garry had no choice but to give up on his forceful ways to make Maria quit her conquering goals. After teaching her for so much time, he had also begun to treat Maria as his daughter.

At the same time, Maria’s growth rate also exploded. At sixteen years of age, Maria had evolved into an early Level 1 lifeform. Only in the next two years, she evolved into an early Level 2 lifeform surpassing even Garry’s talent.

When Garry had met Maria, he was a late Level 2 lifeform, but now, he was at the peak of peak Level 2 lifeform and only one step from evolving into an early Level 3 lifeform. Maria, on the other hand, was only an ordinary mortal with not even enough weight, but now she was at the peak of early Level 3.

The reason for the sudden explosion in her talent was a fortunate encounter with an early Level 3 beasts’ corpse. It didn’t give Maria a heaven-defying talent, but the energy in its meat was so vast that when it combined with her hard work, there was no stopping her.

There were three Empires in the world, but since each Empire had a peak Level 3 Emperor and several other Level 3 members, Maria didn’t dare to challenge them.

She instead began conquering villages one after another. She began from villages that were on the verge of ruins, and no one cared for them, but after controlling several of such areas, Maria’s power grew at an unprecedented rate.

Now that she had some force of her own, she set her sights on sects and organizations. Her goal was the complete conquer of the planet, so she was only starting.
