The First Store System

728 The Store Upgrading Quest(9)

Chapter 728: The Store Upgrading Quest(9)

“Tapi, I come here with nothing but sincerity in my heart,” Aakesh expressionlessly told Tapi.

Even though Aakesh looked to be full of confidence and calm with the tiny dark energy ball floating on the tip of his fingers, the things going inside his mind were entirely the opposite.

Aakesh was thankful that none of the guards dared to take the initiative and face the dark energy ball. Even though the Apocalyptic Blast was Aakesh’s ultimate skill, it was impossible for it to kill any of the four guards since Aakesh was only an intermediate Immortal, and the system had nerfed its destructive capability.

The only reason the guards feared it was due to the elements in it. None of the elements in it was ordinary, but all were supreme.

Tapi’s fear of Aakesh returned after seeing none of her guards able to gather enough courage to face the tiny dark energy ball. It was impossible for her to feel what was special about it, similar to how a newborn doesn’t fear a lion but regards it to be just like its parents.

“Fine! What products do you have to offer?” Tapi finally resigned herself to her fate and asked Aakesh. At the same time, she also communicated with the sixteen other decision-makers in the Gupta family.

Asking about the products from Aakesh meant not believing in her family’s own products, so it wasn’t a small step from Tapi. It was just that she was now genuinely afraid of Aakesh and didn’t want to die.

And her fear of Aakesh only grew more prominent with each passing moment as the shadow of the dark energy ball only grew in her heart.

“Let other family members come,” The smile returned on Aakesh face as he told Tapi.

Tapi suddenly felt the goodwill for Aakesh rising in her heart, but as soon as she remembered his purpose behind coming here, all of it vanished in a moment.

Since things didn’t come to battle, Aakesh returned to his optimistic face and activated the title, Myrioglot.

A few minutes later, all the seventeen decision makers in the Gupta family gathered in one room. At the same time, there were sixty-eight complete Maharathi warriors, with four guards protecting each Guhyaka.

None of the seventeen Guhyakas and sixty-eight Maharathi warriors had smiles on their faces, but each had ugly expressions. While Aakesh had a smile on his face and sixty-eight tiny dark energy balls floated at the tip of his finger.

A few moments earlier,

When the number of complete Maharathi warriors had crossed the fifty mark in the room, the Guhyakas had decided to believe in combined attack and protection of their bodyguards.

Aakesh had sensed what the Guhyakas and the guards were thinking. Despite the smile on his face, Aakesh was tense because if all these guards attacked him at once, the system would automatically release his power cap.

Aakesh wouldn’t even get a chance to defend himself facing an attack from these many elites, so if an attack came, it was equivalent to failing the quest.

After talking with Tapi for so long, Aakesh wasn’t going to let that happen.

Suddenly the number of dark energy balls floating in his hands started increasing and only stopped when it matched the number of complete Maharathi warriors in the room.

“I will ask the same question. How many of you dare to take this attack head-on?” Aakesh smilingly asked as his eyes surveyed the number of guards in the room.

It was as if a bucket of cold water had doused all the flame of courage to fight, and all the sixty-eight guards took a step back in fear while their faces were ugly.

Since when have they ever felt such humiliation, and that too from an intermediate Immortal.

The seventeen Guhyakas sitting on their respective chairs couldn’t help but grind their teeth after seeing the performance of the guards they splurge an outrageous amount on.

One of the sixty-eight guards couldn’t take this lying down as he was not only a warrior but also belonged to the Daitya race. He had just accepted the duty of protecting Guhyaka since the pay was good and he needed a large number of Primal stones.

The guards decided to face the tiny dark energy ball. Aakesh caught the sudden change in the guard’s reaction.

Aakesh knew that all his efforts would have failed when the guard succeeded in facing the energy ball. How could he let his hard work come to naught?

“Whoosh!”

The guard had only thought of taking a step forward when suddenly one of the sixty-eight dark energy balls started growing at an unimaginable rate, only to stop when its size reached around a Guhyaka head.

“Haha, you seem to be brave of the lot. Here, I have increased some power,” Aakesh laughed as he looked at the guard.

The nonchalance on Aakesh’s face after increasing the size of the dark energy ball scared the guard so much that he took two steps backward out of fear.

Aakesh’s unlimited endurance came as a benefit to him here since the dark energy ball was all the power he could currently muster. But due to his unlimited endurance, his face and body showed no such sign of pressure.

“Oh, you too,” Aakesh responded with disappointment after seeing the guard’s actions.

Lily, sitting next to Aakesh, wanted to laugh, but she controlled herself since her laugh might become the spark that may turn all Aakesh’s efforts to ashes.

“What products do you have that would make us quit our business in shame?” The leader of the Guhyaka family asked Aakesh with an ugly look on his face. He was the leader of the Gupta family based on his ancestors who started this family and took it to such heights.

He was only a Xiantian level cultivator and had only a few decades of life left. How could he not feel anger after knowing what he was betting on here?

If the leader had a choice, he would have never done it. But the outrageous performance of the guards and the safety of his family members forced him to take the first step toward it.

There was a difference between him and Tapi since Tapi was one of the decision-makers, while he was the leader whose words could determine the fate of the family.
