1267 A New Day for the Store(14)

Chapter 1267: A New Day for the Store(14)

The previous astonishment returned when Theodre looked at the details on the card, but he no longer felt any emptiness in his heart.

Instead, he felt cheerful, as if every cell in his body was aware and wanted him to choose that skill.

The details he saw on the skill didn’t disappoint his positive feelings, so again, trusting in his intuition, Theodre decided to go ahead and choose [Inferno Obliteration].

The price of two hundred fifty thousand supreme Sacred stones didn’t faze him one bit. Theodre didn’t immediately reach to pull out a defensive type skill, but he thought about whether to experience the skill after selecting it or do it in the end when he had all five types.

The decision wasn’t tough to make when Theodre saw the queue around the device. He then reached for the last shelf in the second bottom row and soon pulled his hand out.

His hand had a skill card representing the God level of defensive type skill. Neither the feeling of astonishment nor the feeling of emptiness occurred at that time.

After reading the details, Theodre decided to return the skill.

Time flew by, and a few minutes passed in a flash. Theodre reached for the last shelf for the hundredth time and pulled out a card.

Theodre immediately focused on the details of the card and the double feeling of astonishment and cheering returned.

[Name: Eternal Sanctuary of Flames

Type: Defensive

Level: God

Cultivation Level: Early to peak Supreme God

Effect: Creates an impregnable sanctuary of everlasting flames for ultimate defense

Description: The user taps into the primal essence of fire to manifest an impervious sanctuary of everlasting flames. This skill erects an impenetrable fortress of flame and heat, shielding the user and their allies from all forms of harm.

The usage of Eternal Sanctuary of Flames requires substantial energy and concentration, as it draws upon the vast reserves of fire energy.

Price: Four hundred fifty thousand supreme Sacred stones.]

The skill [Eternal Sanctuary of Flames] was almost double the price of [Inferno Obliteration], showing its worth.

Since he had come to the store after the successful divining of a Sacred Creator level cultivator, Theodre trusted that the store was extraordinary, as were its products.

Theodre noticed one thing between the two skills, and it was the immense usage of energy. He wasn’t someone who had vast reserves of energy, so he needed to be cautious before selecting the skills.

Fortunately for Theodre, looking at the details on the card, he already had an idea of what type to want from a supporting type skill.

Since these two skills required vast energy reserves, he needed a skill that would help him gather that energy quickly in the middle of a battle. Getting a skill that would permanently increase his energy reserves was an impossible task since that depended on the cultivation art.

Theodre could also go for a route where he could restart his cultivation using a top quality cultivation art bought from the store, but after a long time of consideration, he gave up on that.

The one he was currently using was brought by his father after a lot of effort. He couldn’t give up on that. The store owner had told him that there was the same cultivation art available in the store.

After that Theodre had decided to buy the better version so he could improve the one he was using while at the same time keeping that connection with his father.

It was certain that the better version of the cultivation art would slightly increase his energy reserves, but the two skills he had chosen were already a black hole for his energy.

What Theodre didn’t know was that the skill’s side effects had been dumbed down due to it being a God level skill. For the King level [Inferno Obliteration], just after a single use, the user would be bedridden for days due to its violent energy flow.

Theodre then returned his focus to what was ahead of him. He then reached again, but he no longer followed the sequence.

From the bottom, the bottom row was attacking, then defensive, and then movement. What Theodre did was go for the next row, second from the top, representing the supporting type.

When he pulled his hand out, there was a skill card in his hand.

It was a great healing skill, and Theodre had almost chosen it. But he controlled himself. He wanted to follow the things he had set for the God level skills.

He could buy an Emperor level healing skill later.

It was again a healing skill, but Theodre didn’t even consider it as the first one was several-fold better than the latter.

Time flew by, and Theodre kept at it continuously. Not long after, he passed the hundredth mark, but he had yet to see a skill that would help him increase his gathering energy rate.

More time flew by, and several minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

Not seeing one skill of that type over more than five hundred turns almost made Theodre give up on that. But he took a deep breath and kept going.  It wasn’t as if he was going through some pain. He only had to put the card back and take another out, and then keep at it until he got the thing he wanted.

Theodre’s attempts finally bore fruit, as after a lot of pulling and reaching, he got a skill card that had the effect he wanted.

[Name: Infernal Conventus

Type: Supporting

Level: God

Effect: Harnesses and absorbs boundless fire energy from the environment

Description: The user taps into the elemental essence of fire, enabling the user to gather and absorb an overwhelming influx of fire energy from the surrounding environment. This skill allows the user to become a conduit for the infernal energy, channeling and harnessing the unbridled power of fire.

The user must carefully manage the influx of energy to prevent internal combustion or excessive strain on their cultivation.
