Chapter 1148: The Sixth Product(2)

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store toward the store. He opened his eyes and turned toward it, finding an unfamiliar face approaching the store.

It was a male customer, who looked to be an ordinary resident of Thorr City. The man stopped a few steps away from the door and looked toward it with a conflicted face.

Aakesh waited for the man to enter the store and didn’t close his eyes. As the store grew in popularity, the status of the people entering it also increased.

Vurrons weren’t even a mid-tier power in the Fawkes Kingdom before the arrival of the store, so confidence wasn’t that high among the majority of the people. It was similar to how they treated Aakesh with disdain and disgust when he was traveling through the streets of the city on his first day, but as soon as Aakesh massacred that gang, he became a fearful figure in the eyes of the people.

Aakesh knew this, so he understood that the man might not even enter the store, but since for him, every customer was equal, he patiently waited.

But since he had free time, Aakesh decided to check the progress of the third collective quest since it would reward the store with a new product.

As Aakesh called for the quest, the next moment, two blue screens containing the quest’s details and its progress in golden fonts appeared in front of him. It was only visible to Aakesh.

Aakesh nodded in appreciation, seeing the progress the store had made for the quest. There were still around two years left before the deadline to end, but the store was already close to fulfilling all the requirements.

Aakesh didn’t dare take a gamble that today would be the day for the store to complete the quest since his hands had been burned several times whenever it came to the unfulfilled requirements related to cultivation arts.

Aakesh could only hope that the quest wouldn’t continue for long, despite only being short of two cultivation arts sales to complete the quest.

Aakesh’s mood was better, and seeing that he was so close to completing the collective quest, Aakesh decided to take a look at his other quests currently going on.

Before Aakesh could summon the quest screens, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching the store. Aakesh turned his head and found that the man had finally gathered enough courage to enter the store.

Aakesh stopped the summon and instead waved his hands. The next moment, the quest screen disappeared while the man entered the store.

The man had a slightly frightened face when he saw Aakesh and the large crowd of people waiting at the waiting corner. He immediately bowed respectfully when he found that one of the customers was Alfred, Asher, and other Vurron group leaders. Even though they didn’t see the man, he still needed to follow the etiquette.

Seeing his race leaders in the store gave him a slight confidence boost. He then took a deep breath and approached the store owner.

At first, his feet were slightly trembling as if he were going to his death, but remembering the purpose that forced him to enter the store, his steps somewhat turned stable, and he approached Aakesh.

“He…hello, st…store owm…owmer!” The man greeted Aakesh, slurring.

“He… hello, store owner,” Remembering his mistake in pronunciation, the man greeted him again.

Aakesh’s indifferent expression didn’t help the man, so even though he was acting stable, he wanted nothing more than to run from the store.

“Store owner, I want three lesser grade mental healing pills.” The man requested Aakesh after finally calming down and completing the sentence without slurring for the first time.

Aakesh nodded and stood up from the chair. He then went to the pills counter and took three pills out from the second shelf in the first row, and then returned to his chair.

The three pills the man asked for were in his hands, and he pushed them toward the man, adding, “You need to pay forty-five lesser Sacred stones.”

The man respectfully, yet with trembling hands, took the pills from his left hand while pushing the stones toward Aakesh with his right hand.

As the man was leaving the store after completing the sale, he suddenly remembered something. The same conflicted face reappeared, but soon it turned into determination as he turned around and returned to Aakesh.

“Store owner, how much does the lesser Vision Enhancing Pill cost?” The man asked after gathering his courage.

“one hundred lesser Sacred stones.”

“Give me three,” The man requested it, gritting his teeth since that was all his wealth.

If the pills weren’t necessary for his next entry into ruin, the man wouldn’t have tried to buy them.

The man turned around and looked at the store once, hoping to enter again one day when he would have enough wealth.

The man then turned around and left the store, being the envy of those who knew him and saw him coming out of the store.
