The First Store System

1130 A Familiar Face!

Chapter 1130: A Familiar Face!

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh had his eyes closed when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction. The next moment, he was greeted by a familiar face.

The face was different than what Aakesh had seen, but he easily remembered the man. The man was none other than George, one of the customers in the first phase of the store.

George belonged to the Royal Infernal after he bought the Hellfire Embryo from the store, but strong creatures from Hell like him were attacked on sight due to the cruel nature of the inhabitants. George stood in the guise of a human, and his appearance was what an adult George would have looked like if he had aged and never died by his father’s sword.

George benefited from one of the skills he had received from the Embryo, so even a Sacred Creator had a tough time finding faults with his disguise unless the other party was Aakesh or the system.

George took a deep breath and stepped inside the store. His eyes were slightly moist, unfitting of his cruel character.

George wanted to stay strong, but as he reached closer to the store, his past memories of his human life flashed in front of his eyes.

When he met the store, there was a small poor-looking cottage in the middle of nowhere, but now, the store was in the middle of civilization. George noticed people looking at him weirdly for one moment, and then they would return to their business with envy written all over their faces.

George ignored all those glances and finally stepped inside the store. The view in front of him changed, and a chair and the familiar blue-skinned man sitting there greeted his sight.

George’s eyes almost shed a tear, but he controlled himself and smiled at the man. His eyes then fell on the little furry white creature sitting atop the man, and all the past terror in his heart rushed out.

George was a strong cultivator and had a better mindset, so he immediately calmed down. The hiss from Lily still echoed in his mind, but the fear was no longer there.

Lily, who was busy dreaming about what the whale would look like and its name, also noticed George when he looked at her.

The familiar memory of the weak, terrified boy flashed past her head. She raised her claws and made the gesture of calling the man forward.

George also calmed down and proceeded forward. The store’s luxuriousness mattered nothing in George’s eyes compared to what he had seen during his earlier entry to the store.

The store looked better outside and inside, but the items kept on the shelf at that time were more valuable for him than what he was currently seeing.

“Hello, senior Aakesh!”

“Hello, senior Lily!”

George respectfully greeted Aakesh and Lily, following with a waist bow.

“Do you now know how cats speak?” Lily joked in response since the conversation was still fresh in her mind.

Other than training, Aakesh and Lily spent their time watching over the customer’s life in the first phase, so there was a more familiar connection between Aakesh and Lily and the hundred or so customers.

“… these are the five products available in the store,” Aakesh concluded the introduction.

It was what George learned from the man, but he wanted to hear it directly from Aakesh, so he asked him about the products.

After the introduction was over, there were only two products readily available to him for use.

“Senior, tell me more about Panagea,” George asked.

When he came here, his confidence was the same as it was years ago when he had died by his father’s sword, but as time passed, his confidence grew since he was no longer that weak George. Now, he was a Royal Infernal that had its own standing in the race, and his strength wasn’t low.

“Before telling you about Panagea, you can’t enter for the moment…”

Aakesh started by telling George about the filled virtual portal spots, and then he introduced Panagea with more details like the price for different stay groups, the exchange rate, and many other things.

George was disappointed to learn that there were no spots available in Panagea, but since the wait wasn’t that long due to different stay groups, he soon calmed down.

“Senior, tell me about the different quality levels of beasts and how they differ from their counterparts in the world outside the store.” George respectfully inquired.

“The beasts sold by the store have seven quality levels, starting with inferior and ending with ultimate…” Aakesh introduced the Beast Summoner Device in detail.

George then asked a few more questions, and after getting his satisfaction, he respectfully thanked Aakesh and then proceeded toward the beast’s room.

When George left, another customer took his place. During the time he and Aakesh conversed, three new customers entered the store.

When George entered the room, the countless murals engraved on all the walls inside the room welcomed him.

He also saw the pillar standing in the middle of the room, and he could feel the grandness of it. But before beginning the summoning round, George decided to take a look around the murals and see the beasts he recognized so that he would have a list of beasts in his mind for the summoning.

The summoned beast from the device was random and based on luck, but having a beast on the mind played a role as well since every action from the man changed the luck. Sometimes, even the people with the best luck have their luck turn worse because they desire an item.

George recognized many of the beasts on the walls, but the majority of them were unknown. He couldn’t help but curse himself for not trying to learn things and fighting all day.

Around a minute later, a new customer entered the room. The man took a single glance at George, and then he approached the pillar.
