The First Store System

1006 Surprise!

Lina thanked Aakesh and then proceeded toward the beast’s room.

Lina’s eyes widened in surprise when she saw the numerous beasts painted on the wall. She tried to find Spectral Spiders, and several minutes later, she finally saw one.

Lina’s eyes trembled in shock as the Spectral Spider on the wall was the same as the current ruler of the race. Spectral Spiders were a top race, but it wasn’t always that way. Around three hundred million years ago, the Spectral Spiders had their first Sacred Creator level cultivator, and that was the current leader of the Spectral Spiders as well as the representative of the spider group in the beast’s top table.

Lina bowed to the life-like mural of their leader and then finally focused on the column. The store also had the hatching function, but Lina decided against it for her child. She wanted it to have a natural birth, and that would take three years, which wasn’t a long time for people of the Sacred Dimension.

Lina focused on the screen and saw the nine beasts inhabiting each section. She recognized two of them, but the other seven were unfamiliar to her.

“Let it be a Spectral Spider!” Lina mumbled and then pressed the switch.

The next moment, the square light began to rotate at a rapid rate and continued for five seconds.

Soon after, a beast appeared on the screen. Lina’s face became disappointed since it wasn’t a Spectral Spider but an unknown race.

Not long after, a card emerged out of nowhere and flew into her hands. Even though Lina was disappointed, it was only her first try, so she didn’t brood over it for a long time and focused on the card in her hands.

It was an elemental creature, which was strong by their nature, but since its quality was only higher, Lina lost much of her interest in it. She didn’t even read the card description. She looked at the price and then hurriedly went toward the column and placed the card in its slit.

Time flew by.

There was a four on top of the screen, and when Lina pressed the switch again, it turned into five while the square light began to rotate at an unprecedented speed.

Exactly five seconds later, the rotation stopped, and a beast appeared on the screen.

Lina’s eyes expanded in astonishment and joy since she had been waiting for this moment. Not long after, the creation of the card took place, and it flew into her hands.

Lina didn’t waste a second and immersed herself in the content on the card.

**-> If the spider’s cultivation is at the peak of level, the chances of it working on one sub-level higher cultivator is zero.]

Lina’s mouth flew wide open in astonishment after reading the beast’s details.

“I am no match for it at all if it were to be at my cultivation level,” Lina mumbled in admiration since the number of skills it had only at the Divine Transformation level showed her strength in the later phase.

The characteristic Deceptive Beauty was something every Spectral Spider was born with, so it wasn’t that rare, but the element of Illusions was a rarity in newborns.

The Spectral Spiders were most proficient in the element of Soul and Illusion, but they were born with the Soul element, while the illusion was something they learned when they grew.

When Lina read the price, she found it to be steep, but after seeing the skills once again, she made up her mind to complete the purchase.

The skill Soul Link was something that was enormously significant to her since it allowed Lina to share the abilities of the Spectral Spider in the card. She could only imagine what skills the spider would learn in the future, so even if the cost of the beast exceeded eighty percent of her total savings, Lina didn’t find it to be an issue anymore.

Lina then left the room and approached the store owner. Selecting the beast was only the start she also needed to defeat it if she wanted it.

“Store owner, please initiate the taming battle!” Lina respectfully requested Aakesh and handed the card to him.

Aakesh nodded after taking the card, and he then tapped twice on the pattern at the card’s back.
