"Do you have a beast core?"

"Huh?" Nagina was stunned for a bit when another question was dumped down on her out of nowhere.

'Beast core?' She thought as she wondered whether what she had could be considered as beast core or not. After all, unlike the other beast or human, she also had her secret identity as a system.

Well, before, she just had her central processing unit, her database as her core. It was the place that was responsible for every working mechanism inside her.

Although she had her core that was somewhat different from the magical core of the magical beast, she was pretty sure it was different form among of them. While the other magical beast's core could be used as a rare treasure that had hundreds and thousands of cultivation stored in them, she was affirmative that her core did not have such characteristics.

Seeing that the girl was silent, Master Yi Feng decided to not pester her anymore. He knew these two had their own certain secrets that they wanted to hide, and he had no plan to force them now. Though, once in a while he was tempted to make his own guesses, and he was pretty sure it was bound to continue in the future.

"It's alright, you do not have to answer me," he said with a grimace hiding his true thoughts.

"You said you area able to use her qi, didn't you?" he asked her when he suddenly remembered something really different.

"Yes," Nagina nodded her round head with a bit hesitation as she wondered what new thing that this old man had caught in to.

"You do know that changing form like this can use too much spiritual energy, do you not know?"  He asked with a little doubt upon pondering on the fact as to how this girl had changed her form for two times and it was not just a simple transition.

"Y-yes~~" The tiny Nagina who was coiled on the ground agreed with a guilty expression on her eyes. She indeed had forgotten about the fact that she was totally dependent on Le fang Ling.

"Cough," she let out a small cough as she looked out of the space they were in.

Master Yi Feng let out a sigh. He more or less understood about the two clueless girls and what they had between them was more like soul bondage, where the magical beast had full access to the contracted human.

Well, he had not much idea since the cultivators of the west were more prominent in this type of binds.

Well, there were still many abnormalities among them but he had time to figure things out slowly. The life was long and well, these two girls were still young.

"Alright, we are done with the test," he said as he snapped his finger. There was a bright streak of light that appeared on the  spherical barrier that was surrounding them. The streak changed in to a long but narrow tear on the white boundary that separated the space.

The separation disappeared as the temporary space he had created disappeared in flash of a light. The original space come into their as they walked outside from the fading boundary.

Le Fang Ling who had been seated crossed legged  on the ground with her eyes closed sensed the presence of the two people who were walking towards her. Without having to open her eyes, she could tell that they were Master Yi Feng and Nagina.

She waited for a bit before she opened her eyes as she came out of her mediation state.

She eyed both of them, a human and a snake that were walking towards her. She stared at the weird duo for a while before she finally snapped out of her thoughts. She sighed as she stood up from the ground and patted her butt to remove the dusts that were stuck on it.

She at first looked at Master Y Feng and bowed down.

"Master, you are back."

Master Yi Feng simply nodded his head as he looked sideways and down at Nagina who was sitting still on her snake form. Le Fang Ling followed his gaze and looked at where he was gazing.

"…."

A small creature that looked like her Nagina was seated on the ground.

Heck!! That was her Nagina!!

"That is.." her voice got stuck on her throat as she looked at the wiggling tail of Nagina  upon seeing her. She never thought she would get to see this cutesy form of Nagina, well not yet to be precise.

Le Fang Ling had to rub her eyes twice before she finally accepted that she was back on her old form.

"Ahh, no wonder I lost so much of my spiritual energy," she sighed with a helpless smile on her face as she gestured towards Nagina to come over to her.

After the announcement inside her head, "Threat has been detected" she heard nothing more. Everything went silent inside her head. It made her nervous to the point she could do nothing except pace around like a mad man.

She even had the urge to try and enter the isolated space where Nagina and Master Yi Feng were at that moment. But she knew it was some sort of test and she was only going to make it worse if she was to barge inside unannounced like some uninvited guest.

Having nothing else to do, and seeing that her spiritual energy was constantly being used, she decided to cultivate while waiting.

After all, she was learning how to control her body that absorbed qi from anything and everything. If it was not for the seal that Elder Lin had given to her and her practice to control her meridians…

She did not even want to think about it. She shook her head to wave off the other useless thoughts. She was getting better slowly but surely and that was all that mattered.

A warm smile spread on her face when Nagina finally climbed up on her shoulder.

She looked away from her and towards her master, her expression immediately changed to a solemn one.

"Master, I await your further commands."

Master Yi Feng said nothing as he took out two stone slabs from his spatial ring.

"Take these," he said as he threw them to Le Fang Ling.
