Chapter 118 - I Do Not Care About Your Personal Relationship

Chapter 118: I Do Not Care About Your Personal Relationship

“Hey.”

Mo Bei, who’d already closed her eyes, moved upon hearing this indifferent voice.

Feng Nai walked to her bedside, his eyes still looking cold.

The other person’s presence was so strong that Mo Bei sat up after turning her head over. Her back was against the headboard, and her face was almost devoid of emotion. “Yes?”

“Little Brother.” As Feng Nai lowered himself, his eyes were fixed on Mo Bei steadily. “Have you misunderstood something about staying here or leaving Dark Flares?”

Mo Bei’s eyes moved.

Feng Nai said casually, “If we win two friendly competitions, you get to stay in Dark Flares. If we lose either one, you have to leave.”

Mo Bei’s line of sight shifted, but her handsome face remained aloof. “I know now.”

“Then sort out yourself.” Feng Nai looked away like this was no concern of his. “I do not care about your personal relationship. Just remember one thing: Do not let it affect the competition.”

Mo Bei was still confused. What personal relationship?

Meanwhile, as usual, Feng Nai had already bent down and removed the white pajama t-shirt he was wearing.

The light in the room hadn’t been turned on.

Based on his movements, Mo Bei knew what he was doing. She looked away, avoiding facing him squarely.

The two of them lay on their own beds.

They were much further from each other compared to yesterday.

There was also no need for a pillow or anything else between them.

Mo Bei didn’t have to protect the front of her chest the whole night either.

This night was much more peaceful compared to the previous one.

The next morning, as usual, Mo Bei woke up way earlier than a certain Almighty.

However, once she opened her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of the person beside her, who was lying on his side with a smashed alarm clock next to him.

They had a competition, so the assistant could only call incessantly to wake all of them up.

Just a smashed alarm clock wouldn’t affect anything.

When Mo Bei walked out, she saw how a certain Almighty looked before he got out of bed.

His right arm, which was not under the blanket, was holding a cell phone. His eyes were closed, and his head rested on the edge of his bed. Black locks covered his handsome, flawless profile, and his voice was low and raspy from not getting enough sleep. “Yes, he’ll play assassin. I’m not playing. Interview? Not interested, I’m hanging up.”

Based on the conversation, one could easily tell who was on the other end of the line.

“Not interested again? Say, what are you interested in?”

Feng Nai’s eyes were still shut. He only gave the other party a simple two-word answer. “National champions.”

There was an obvious pause on the other end.

Feng Nai hung up directly.

There was barely any change in his expression as she stood aside.

National champions…

It seemed like it had been a long time since she had heard these two words…

Did they have the same goal?

National champions…

Just as Mo Bei started zoning out, Feng Nai stood up from the bed. His chest was naked, and his legs were long and slender.

When Mo Bei glanced over, his wide and smooth back was revealed.

Usually, she would avoid looking.

However, she had been taken by surprise. Mo Bei was just about to retract her gaze, when she was caught.

Feng Nai’s brow lifted for a moment before he bent down. When he looked over again, there was a cold smile hanging from the corner of his lips. “Look good?”

Mo Bei did not reply. This was really a misunderstanding.

Feng Nai walked over in a black t-shirt. His languid tone didn’t contain much warmth if one listened carefully. “Go downstairs if you’ve seen enough. Since when did being captain also include providing part-time eye-candy services for the teammates?”

“What eye-candy services?” Panda appeared in front of their door with a fried dough stick in his mouth. He looked at his chief and then looked at his brother, Mo Nan, with a puzzled expression. Had something happened?

Feng Nai picked up his team jacket and headed straight for the bathroom.

Mo Bei merely took a look and continued packing her shoulder bag.

Panda was extremely curious. Even when they boarded the van, he was still thinking about this question.

However, very quickly, his attention was drawn away by Han Xi’s words. “The opponent brought help for the friendly competition today.”

“Help?” Panda held a straw between his lips. “Is this allowed? Can one get outside aid?”

“It’s allowed at friendly competitions.” Han Xi, who had always been a man of few words, could not even be bothered to explain any further.

Panda turned his head, ready to ask their Chief who was the help that had been invited.

Feng Nai couldn’t use this time to catch up on his sleep.

Such enough, when the business van arrived, the fans who were there to see Almighty K saw the same languid and aloof person. He was wearing a black mask, and his eyes were cold.

However, the cheers were immensely loud. Even though this was just a friendly competition, the people who liked Dark Flares would come in advance to wait for them.

Before the competition, the players of both battle teams were first directed to the waiting room.

The live-stream competition was still run by the same company.

Everything happened as usual.

Only Granny Gray, who was puzzled, turned to ask Panda, “Why are you so interested in the female broadcasters today?”

“This is too complicated to talk about.” Panda lowered his voice. “Just go contact them first. After the competition, we’ll have a fraternity gathering. It is highly likely that Chief’s girlfriend is amongst them.”

Granny Gray was shocked. “Chief… Chief has a girlfriend?”

“Shh!” Panda pressed a finger against his own lips. He was so cautious simply because he was afraid that his Chief would notice the commotion on their side. “Lower your voice. I remember that you’re pretty close to that side. See if you can invite them.”

“There’s no need to ask. They’ll surely say yes. Quite a number of them have been asking to meet Chief in private, but they were all politely rejected by me. I’m afraid that if I agreed easily, Chief would send me to scrub the toilets right away. Are you sure we can do this? Chief would just not appear.”

“It’s fine this time. I asked Chief yesterday.” Panda rubbed his chin. “Who knows, it might be because the person who kissed him is amongst them. Maybe that’s why he agreed. Hey, Mo Nan! Here, here!”

Upon hearing him, Mo Bei looked towards that corner.

Panda placed an arm around his brother’s shoulders. “Let’s play faster later. How about we destroy the opponent’s base in ten minutes?”

“You’re in a rush?” Mo Bei’s voice was completely emotionless. After all, she had to remind herself that she definitely wouldn’t be that fast if she was using her brother’s playing style.

“There’s no rush, but it will look a lot cooler if we end it fast!”

Mo Bei just said one word. “Okay.”

Then, a chuckle came from the side. “Almighty Panda would probably be able to end things fast, but the same might not apply to Brother Nan.”

Chen Yu walked over. “Brother Nan, don’t be so sure about your words. When we played against Star, you also said that you would finish them off fast, but in the end, we almost lost. Thankfully, Brother Lu saved the second half of the match. Am I right, Brother Lu?”

Mo Bei then noticed Lu Yifan, who stood at the back on the right side. There wasn’t much that was different about him. He was wearing his team uniform, and he seemed to be looking at a stranger when his eyes landed on her again.

She felt like she was a stranger he was unwilling to be related to.
