The Devil's Sweetheart

If a boyfriend fights, it's always his fault, even if it's not really, he has to pay the price. Since Leena did not have a boyfriend in the past after the breakup and neither she wanted to have one, she started influencing the heartbroken girls to go single and the response she got was pretty much as she predicted.

As it may concern him in the future, Devin wanted to look over it so that he can be get prepared for her wrath.

Physical tortures

"Isn't it considered abusing?" Devin shuddered at the thought of receiving all the punishments. He is fully confident that he would never cheat on her but judging by her craziness, he was sure, Leena would torture him just for fun.

Mental tortures.

"She even included mental tortures? She sure is a man-hater."

He moved ahead to read them knowing that it would be no better.

[Change the WIFI password of your home. Put him on intimacy probation with no sex, wear a sexy dress, and torture him showing off your assets. The more remorse, the faster you feel happy. After reading the content, his head started hurting badly. Now, Devin is starting to see his future already. He was sure, Leena would show him all those kind of tortures in the future just for fun.

"She is a riot. Where does she learn all these things? It's better to be silent rather than making her angry." Closing the mobile, he got back to the work thinking that it would fresh his mind at least after reading the violent blog.

Reese and Leena straight away went to the office as both have lots of pending work which has to be completed since Leena has to go for dinner to meet a client friend. Right after, she went to the office, Leena strolled into Carrot's room where she was sleeping and got back to her office room not intended to disturb her sleep. The three days pent up anger and frustration she had has washed away after seeing him.

With a smile, Leena got back to her work and in between, she began writing a letter for Devin. She was planning to give a surprise visit to his office tomorrow and take him somewhere and she even got expert advice from her niece Cutie that it would be good to follow the old method when one wanted to confess feelings. Hence the letter came into existence. Cutie even bestowed lines from the letters she has written for her neighboring crushes. Leena instantly liked those cute lines and she modified it a little according to her taste.

By evening, she ended her work and stretched her tired body, and prepared to go to meet her friend.

The night started to befall, wrapping the day in its dark blanket, filling the inky sky with specks of stars.

Leena strolled into the hotel where she has to have dinner with her friend Amber. She is an actress friend and came to New York for a film shooting. Amber asked Leena for a catch-up in the free time and since Leena didn't have anything to do in the evening, she agreed to meet her.

Both were engaged in a deep conversation gossiping about the recent happenings in the entertainment industry. Suddenly, Amber received a call and she excused herself as it was an important one. Without having any work, Leena started playing a game and halted her hands when she felt the shadow of a person. She lazily looked up and saw a man standing in front of her. As usual, she ignored him but he was examining her intently without shifting from the place. He looked momentous, yet powerful and composed. The age did not diminish the handsome looks, instead, it added confidence and maturity to him.

"Even uncles are attracted to my beauty now? What can I do? I am born beautiful! Sadly, I am already taken." Grabbing the food menu, Leena hid her face not intended to show her beautiful face. After a little while, she slightly peeked from the menu card and when she didn't find him on the premises, she tossed the menu onto the table with a sigh of relief. But to her surprise, he suddenly appeared and sat in front of her.

"Ah! You scared me." Her first words came out of her mouth as she clutched her chest.

Leena glanced at the man and judging by the way he has dressed up in a three-piece suit, he seems to be here for a business and with an assistant trailing behind him, she confirmed he is an elite.

"Oopsie!! sorry. I did not mean to scare you." He added with a smile.

"It's time to leave sir. We have an urgent meeting." His assistant informed him, shocked that his boss was eyeing a young girl. He would get a nice whipping from madam if she comes to know about it. Where did he throw his brain to go behind a young girl?

"Meeting can wait and as for you, go and wait outside." He sternly declared and when his assistant whisked away, he turned around and faced Leena with a sweet smile.

"Are you single, daughter-in-law?" He asked.

"I am sorry?" Leena was stupefied that he directly started calling her a daughter-in-law. What's wrong with people nowadays? One was shamelessly calling her a granddaughter-in-law and now an anonymous man is calling her daughter-in-law.

"Of course, you would be single. Even my Chiku is single. No one can match his status, except you." He added with a triumphant smile.

"Chiku?" Leena questioned.

"Ah! It's my elder son's nickname. I call him Chiku to annoy him sometimes. But you know, he is the most handsome and eye candy for every woman."

"Oh!" Leena whispered and opened her mobile pretending to be busy. Internally, she was giggling. Chiku?? What a funky name for a boy.

I would have died jumping from a mountain if someone would have called me or named me Chiku.

Even when Leena tried to pretend to be busy, he was continuously blabbering about his so-called Chiku. She tried to call Amber, but her line was continuously busy and she didn't want to leave the place without telling her.

"You know what, child! He loves me a lot and you see the wristwatch I am wearing?" He raised his hand showing off his watch. "It was gifted by him for my birthday. How is it?"

"Nice!" Leena replied with a one-word and went back to playing a game.

'What should I do if he gifts you a wristwatch, weird uncle? Can you stop praising that funky boy?'

While he was boasting about his son endlessly, a familiar voice echoed into Leena's ears and she glanced in the direction where a king-like man was in sitting in an enormous room with media surrounding him with cameras.

"Was he serious when I talked about that plastic beauty? He is even holding a press meet to clearer the rumors?" Leena whispered.

"He is handsome right?" He uttered with a proud smile when he saw Leena looking intently at Devin. "I heard he entered the modeling industry at the age of fourteen. He is savage! I am proud of his father."

"But isn't it lame? It must be hard for him to manage both modeling and studies at such a young age. What kind of parents make his son work? They must be sitting in the home and enjoying life with his money while he is working his ass off." Leena felt bad for Devin suddenly.

'My poor babylicious has worked a lot from such a tender age.'

"I_I have urgent work. We will meet some other time, daughter-in-law." Quietly, he left the place bidding goodbye to Leena.

"There won't be next time, Uncle weirdo," Leena screamed at the retiring figure.

"We will see to it, child." He shouted before leaving.

Devin strolled into his house in urgency and there he saw his dad in the wine cellar, drinking, and he seemed to sense Devin's presence, he glanced in his direction and shouted.

"Chiku!! I am here."

"Dad!! This is going to be the last time, I won't tolerate next time if you are calling by that weird name and why did you meet her? I told you that I would bring her home right?" Devin was seething in anger. It was an accident that his dad noticed Leena's picture on his mobile which he has saved as a screensaver and he did not know he would go and meet her already without telling him.

"I was bored to death in office and decided to show my handsome face to her. Do I need your permission to see my daughter-in-law?" He asked taking a lazy sip of his drink.

"Did you like her?" He asked knowing the answer already watching his happy face.

"Classy!!! But your mom is adamant about patching you up with some other girl," He informed. Lately, his wife has been complaining about his lovely son endlessly that he is not listening to her.

'Good that I was in Africa. She wouldn't even think back to hit me in her anger.'

"That can change," Devin was confident that Leena has the charm to make her like anyone and his mom was no exception.

"Let's hope that she would. Your mom is going to make mincemeat of me if I arrive late." He glanced at his wristwatch, thinking about the devil. He got up, ready to leave not before throwing a bomb on Devin. "She knows your nickname already."

Annoying his son brings more happiness than securing a business deal and so and he went for it and watching his son's seething in anger, he was sure that he can sleep peacefully.

"Why did you tell her. She would surely make fun of me" Devin massaged his temples imagining her mocking face.

'If she comes to know about it, she would tease me for eternity.'

"You have to deal with it, son." Mirth danced in his eyes.

"Both are bound to be together. Even fates couldn't separate and brought them together again." He walked away talking to himself but still, Devin heard his dad's words.

For a moment, Devin looked back at the retiring back hearing his words.

'Did I hear him correctly? Fates have brought us together again? He is sounding as if I have met Leena before.'

"He must be drunk to blabber nonsense.." Devin reasoned with that possibly as he had never seen Leena until he encountered her in DewGarden park.
