The Devil's Sweetheart

Right after Harley delivered the catalog, Leena studied the designs as she flipped the pages and without even lifting her head, she inquired. "Who is going to be my designer. If you have already decided one, please ask the person to come front and present the designs if they have in handy?"

"Regina Herrera. She is going to be your designer." Harley professed and signaled Regina to demonstrate the designs. All though, Harley did not want that vile woman to be Leena's designer, she did not have a choice when Regina was endowed with the maximum number of polls for the upcoming Korean tract.

With a smile, Regina proceeded to present the designs which she had in her drive. Hearing the name, Leena slightly glanced up, and when she watched the woman walking gracefully as if the floor would get hurt, Leena did not even bother to acknowledge her, and she has already double-crossed the woman's name from her dictionary.

Regina seethed in anger when Leena neither spare a glance at her nor recognized her efforts. The employees of WD consider her a diva but she was being ignored by that lowly woman. Not once, she was being insulted twice and the hospital incident was still fresh in her memory, and to her annoyance, from the time Devin has arrived at the meeting, Regina has observed that his focus was only on that bitch and like a lovesick puppy he has been looking only at her.

'That place is mine. Only I can get his attention.'

Is that the woman, Victor talked about the other day? Regina wanted to strangle her and suffocate her to death. But she kept her thoughts to herself since she is in the company. She made a note to do a background check on this woman after rhe meeting. Composite her thoughts, Regina looked at her and spoke out. "What do you think of_"

Her words were cut short when Leena straight away looked at Devin and articulated.

"Look Mr.A__ Mr. Wang," Leena spoke up. Old habits die hard and when she wanted to address him, the name which she has been calling him from the beginning has suddenly slipped out her mouth, While Devin pressed his lips to control his chuckle which was threatening to come up. Ignoring his flaccid look, Leena recited. "I have constraints if I have to sign a deal with your company."

"Only if they are plausible, I will consider them." Devin enunciated getting into the business. He was glad that Leena did not reject the offer right away and she is still giving him a chance.

"I surround by my own rules, Mr.Wang and you have to oblige them." Leena sneered. Be it business or personal, Leena made a vow to shut his mouth from now. A girl should wear pants in the home and that much she is guaranteed to seize from him.

"Stubborn little one." He muttered under his breath and nodded his head to continue.

"I choose my designer and it is not going to be Miss Herrera." Leena openly declared. She quite liked Regina's designs, but Leena works with people who have morals and values ethics which she did not find any in that woman.

The employees who were in the conference gasped when they heard Leena's impossible condition. Everybody was believing that she should be happy to get Regina as the designer. She has been serving as the chief designer and there is also a rumor that she is dating the CEO and they are soon going to get engaged. They thought that Devin would reject the condition and stand up for Regina until his deep voice spoke up.

"I agree." The two words that crumbled their judgment into scrambles. Devin didn't find any restriction in getting her own designer. If he was being honest, he doesn't want Leena to work with Regina and when the opportunity came knocking, he gladly obliged. He never preferred that nail-biting woman and he is eagerly waiting for her to make a mistake so that he could throw her out of the company. He already has a hunch that she is the one stalking him but she has cloaked the evidence way smartly.

Harley silently slapped her thigh, watching Regina's expressions fuming in red. If she was not wrong, she would be digging her nails into the palms since she cannot eat them now. As expected from my goddess, she gave a tight slap to that bitch.

"Alright! If you are fine with the first, let's go for the second!! If you have caught a glimpse of my working strategy, I don't work with male models and I choose the clothes to wear for any photoshoots." Leena proclaimed. Back when she was doing a photoshoot for a skincare brand, the CEO suddenly bought a male model into the shoot and asked her to act along with him when she has clearly stated in the contract that she would not work with men. When he tried to compel her, she shredded the contract into pieces leaving from the arena. Losing morals is the last thing she wishes and she would never strip her dignity for fame.

"Your rules are over the top, Miss Hayes. We cannot agree with the second one. A model should adapt to all the environments." Blake voiced out his opinion. He was getting irritated with the conditions she was putting up when their company never oblige to any such policies. He did not even like the way Leena rejected the most promising designer in front of everyone and Blake's anger rose when he heard that Leena doesn't want to work with male models. Why did Devin invite this incompetent woman?

"I have already brought to your company's notice that I would show up only if my decrees are imposed and the CEO has obliged to it already and isn't it unprofessional of you to interrupt when I am conversing with the CEO, Mr. Blake Harvey?" Leena turned her to face Devin and inquired. "What do you say, Mr.Wang. Deal or no deal!!"

"I accept the condition. But in exchange, the contract would last for five years." Devin declared. He was getting entertained by the little tigress savage talks and she even dared to shut every mouth in his territory.

Even if Leena doesn't have an objection, Devin was not planning to allow any male model to work with and regarding the outfit, he doesn't want her to attract anyone. So he did not have restraint in saying no to her condition. As per the brute who dared to interrupt their conversation, he will have to encounter the ire today.

"One year. That's the maximum I can give." Leena meant.

And their sallies started again.

"Three. I believe you have a record of signing a deal with the company for three long years." Devin brought a topic out of blue.

"Is it? But I don't keep a track of such trivial things. Does Mr. Wang has a habit of stalking my profile?" Leena snickered seeing him going frenzy. He still has to face a lot today and she promised herself to torture him.

"Isn't it safe to check for a criminal record? After all, I am massive over the world, Miss Hayes." He was missing their sallies and he was amused by the idea of bickering in the office.

"Quite a logic you have come up with to mask your stories. But, I can only accept if it is a year." 

All the employees held their breath hearing their bickering. While they could see the tension transpiring between the two, they couldn't pinpoint what sort of relationship they were in. If she could restrain the CEO, they wondered if she already knew him.

"Two," Devin did not give up.

"Then let's drop the_" 

"Fine. One year it is." Devin finally gave up. He knew she is doing it deliberately to get revenge on him. Stubborn girl. Wait for the time to punish you.

"Fine!! Send the drafted contract and my executive assistant will check on the finances and if all goes well, I will uphold your proposal." Leena declared and nudged Reese to speak but that stupid idiot has been only looking at him without heeding.

With a slight nod, Devin got up from her chair and glanced at Leena hoping that she would turn towards his direction but he did not get any reaction. He was sure, she would throw tantrums now. Finally, he sighed and walked to the Harley who was busy stealing glances at Leena.

"Bring her to my office room," Devin whispered and walked out but Harley did not even listen to him.. The moment he walked out, she whisked towards Leena to converse with her, for she has been waiting for the opportunity since morning.
