The Dawn of the New World

Chapter 366 - Calling Home

*Rumble*

'Huh...?'

Hao Xuan slowly opened his eyes and was welcomed by darkness.

"What?" he tried to speak but when he opened his mouth, his tongue touched something hairy.

He quickly jumped up and realized what was blocking his vision.

"Meow!"

Zhurong meowed with a brokenhearted expression. He was just resting on Hao Xuan's face and was suddenly flung through the air like a ragdoll.

*Cough*

Hao Xuan coughed up a few hairs and looked at Zhurong angrily.

"Don't look at me like that you dick. Why the hell were you sitting on my face?!"

"MEOW MEOW!" Zhurong retorted loudly and looked away proudly as if to say 'You should be grateful to be my royal seat!'.

Like he was doing Hao Xuan a favor. He then walked out of the room through an open glass door at the back that led outside.

Hao Xuan got up and fumbled around the room, almost losing his balance. The migraine was back again albeit in a much lower intensity.

"Baracus, how long have I been out this time? This is really getting out of hand..."

*Beep*

"Only 4 days this time. At least the intervals are getting shorter," Baracus replied in his usual nonchalant voice.

"Silver lining...eh? Where am I?"

"This is the room Jin Wang bought for you."

"Okay, and why am I naked?" Hao Xuan asked when he felt a breeze pass through between his legs and realized he wasn't wearing anything.

"That...you would have to ask that purple-haired girl."

"The hell does that mean? Did she do something weird to me while I was out?"

"Please define parameters for "weird". She did a few things but I wouldn't personally classify them as bad."

"You're a fucking robot, our moral standards are significantly different. Screw it, I'll deal with it later. Wheres the bathroom?" he asked while rubbing his temples.

Hao Xuan freshened up and put on his usual white hanfu. It was simple, comfortable, and easy to move in. That's why he preferred it even over the more fashionable clothing.

He came back out and observed the room. It was pretty big for one person with a bed, a couch, and a few other pieces of furniture. Much better than the room he woke up in the first place which just had 2 bunk beds.

He walked towards the glass door and admired the view which was quite breathtaking.

There was a clear blue sky visible outside and the sun was shining brightly. There was a swimming pool just 5 meters away around which several familiar faces lazed about.

Around the pool was a 4 feet tall wooden fence and behind that were several other buildings the same as the one he was in. He could see many different kinds of people there.

All the buildings were in a circle and between them was a lake of at least 2-3 kilometers in diameter. There were around 20-30 people in there as well.

One thing to note was that there were only youngsters here. Each and every one of these people seemed to be in their twenties at most.

If he didn't know any better he would have thought this was a scene out of an American teen movie.

He stepped out.

All his severs were there. Bo (the kappa), Fortis, Black, and White were swimming around in the water while the rest were sitting around the pool sunbathing. Well, everyone other than the Scorpion King and Ensis who sat right next to the glass door in the shadow of the building, one on each side.

"Master!" Ensis quickly got up and bowed upon seeing Hao Xuan walk out, while the Scorpion King made no movements and sat there like a statue, pretending to be asleep.

"Relax relax, sit down," Hao Xuan waved at him and ignored the Scorpion King completely.

He went towards the only available seat around the pool but was interrupted by Black and White who lept into his arms.

"Haha, you guys having fun? Don't mind me, go play in the water," he said throwing them back into the pool. Bo who was still contemplating whether or not to get out and was ecstatic to hear that and dove straight down.

Upon reaching the seat Hao Xuan noticed a little white furball sitting on the giant chair alone. Zhurong looked up with a conceited expression. He didn't say anything but Hao Xuan knew what he meant.

'Come to apologize have you? No forgiveness!'

"Move," Hao Xuan grabbed him from the back of his neck and sat down in the chair.

"MEOW!!!"

"Yeah yeah, do your worst," Hao Xuan didn't take his threats to heart and put him on his lap. Even though Zhurong was angry, he didn't try to get away and simply looked the other away while pretending to be angry.

*Sigh*

Hao Xuan let out a deep breath. This was the first time in a long time he could relax.

"Baracus, connect me to Xu Qing."
