The Dawn of the New World

Chapter 334 - Uncharted Area

*BOOM*

A cave wall exploded and two figures jumped through without even waiting for the dust to clear.

Hao Xuan was wearing his armor and using the Glaive instead of using his bare arms now.

"Don't let them get away!" someone shouted as hundreds of people poured out of the same hole like water out of a broken dam.

Hao Xuan's expression changed as he increased his speed once again while patting the top of his head.

"Push them back again Fortis!"

*Whiiiip~* x4

A small tentacle came out from Hao Xuan's head and swung around 4 times, ripping the very air apart with sheer force, flinging away more than a hundred people.

"NOW!" a voice yelled as soon as the tentacle was coming back around for the 5th time. Every Orc present on the front line suddenly bent down. The tentacle passed over their heads and hit a wall of a black bubbling substance that was behind them.

*Ssss*

"Oww!" the tentacle's entire first layer of skin was burned off in an instant as Fortis howled in pain. He quickly pulled back the tentacle. It returned to its original size of just a couple of inches.

"It hurts!" Fortis said while blowing on his tentacle. He looked down at Hao Xuan with watery eyes, purposefully dangling his burnt tentacle in front of his face.

This was the first time he had ever been hurt, not even the Scorpion King was able to leave a scratch on his body yet just touching that black stuff was enough to melt his very skin off.

"I know I know, I'm sorry. I'll treat you to some good food when we get out of here," Hao Xuan said apologetically, making Fortis withdraw back to the top of his head with a somewhat content look.

He had asked for Fortis's help a few times now to get out of sticky situations, but it turned out they were prepared for it this time. Still, that was enough to put some distance between them and the orcs.

They had been running for almost an hour now, breaking through one wall after another. They had gone way past the main residential area and into the so-called 'No Orc Land'. Buse had mentioned that they were forbidden from ever going to any tunnel that led this way. They were told stories about monsters and demons from a very young age, that they lived in these tunnels and would take away the soul of any who entered.

But Buse thought otherwise. She thought all those stories were made up to keep them away because these tunnels led outside.

Hao Xuan increased his speed and went up to Jin Wang who was leading the charge now. Hao Xuan had run out of Qi when he was using Assualt of the Mad God earlier so Jin Wang had to take his place.

"You still good to go?" he asked looking at his condition. He breathing rather heavily and his footing was shaky.

Jin Wang nodded, "For now. But I can't this up for long."

Hao Xuan looked down at his watch and tapped once. A miniature hologram then projected out from it.

It showed a blue blob making its way through a hollow tunnel, which was their location and some distance behind them was the symbol of an anchor which was the main residential area of the Orcs.

Every single tunnel between them and the anchor symbol was showing clearly, even the ones they hadn't passed through. This was because of the map Buse had shown them. It showcased most of the areas she herself had frequented.

The only problem was that the map ended just a few hundred meters in front of them. After that was nothing but darkness. That's where none of the Orcs were allowed to go and Hao Xuan and Jin Wang were aiming for just that area.

"Take a left here and we're good to go!" Hao Xuan pointed at the wall in front. Jin Wang took in a deep breath and bent his knees.

The ground under his feet cracked and he shot straight into the wall in front, going through it. Hao Xuan quickly followed inside.

About 5 seconds later the Orc party arrived as well but unlike the last 20+ times, they didn't go through. The vanguards leading the charge arrived first stopped at the edge, looking around into the new tunnel with a rarely seen cautious gaze on their faces.

"I'm not going in there," one of them shook his head and stepped back. The others followed. A few seconds after the remaining Orc force arrived, several thousand of them.

"What's going on? Why did you stop?" a hooded man walked forward through the crowd. The vanguards turned to face him
