The Cursed King

Chapter 132 - The Kiss

"Elise sweetheart…." Loriel raised his hand and touched her left cheek. "You are the most beautiful, the kindest, and the smartest woman I have ever known. I am so fascinated and enamored by you and I really hope we could take our relationship to the next level."

He had not wooed any woman for so long and didn't know if he was saying the right thing. Being old didn't mean he knew everything in life. He was even nervous.

"I am not good with this thing..." Loriel took a deep breath before he continued his heartfelt confession. "Will you accept my love for you? I promise to make you happy. I will do anything for you. If you would give me a chance, I will show you that I am worthy of your love."

He ended his confession right there because he didn't want to get carried away and say more than what he was allowed to. At this stage, he must tread carefully, not to say things that would make Elise confused.

He just wanted to confess his love to her and asked her to be his girlfriend for real, no longer pretend.

There was silence in the room. Elise swallowed, trying to find the right words to say. She had never received a love confession before. So, she didn't know how to respond to it.

Did she like Loriel? Yes, she did. She was a normal woman who could appreciate the opposite sex's interest in her. She thought Loriel was a really kind man and she felt special to him.

But love? She didn't know if she loved him back. She had never felt such a deep feeling for any man before.

"I understand if you don't love me back, or if you think my love confession is silly and you want to reject me,"  said Loriel after a while. Since Elise was still quiet, he felt the need to break the ice.

Deep inside, Loriel was worried sick that Elise really didn't like him. He would be heartbroken if she rejected his love. However, he didn't want to make her feel awkward.

If Elise really didn't love him back, he didn't want her to feel cornered to say yes just to make the situation between them less awkward. He pressed her hands with both his hands and looked at her in the eye with a big smile.

"You don't have to answer now,"  Loriel said. "I am just letting out what's in my heart. You can even say no, if you don't like me, and I will be cool about it."

"Loriel…" Elise could feel the warmth shared from Loriel's hands when the man clasped their hands together. She loved it!

"Yes, Elise?"

Elise cleared her throat and finally responded to his confession.

"Loriel, I accept you," Elise said gently. She smiled and touched his cheeks too. She didn't know if she loved the man, but she was willing to take their relationship further.

She had not met any man who was kinder and sweeter to her than Loriel. At that moment, she realized she woud be stupid to say no.

Loriel felt ecstatic when he heard her reply. The man was worried for a second there, thinking Elise might reject him. Maybe he was too early. He should have waited.

He was already thinking of ways to make things less awkward between them should Elise say no. He didn't want her to leave his home. It would be more difficult for him to gain her trust and love back.

"Gosh.. you make me so happy today…" he gushed. "Thank you."

Elise's heart fluttered when she saw how happy he was. She lowered her head and said sheepishly, "I am  happy too."

"You are?" Loriel finally felt all his wait and effort were worth it.

Elise nodded softly.

The man took a deep breath. He tugged her chin and raised her face to see him. As their eyes met, Loriel smiled sweetly. This was his Elise. Even though it was not as obvious as it was in the past, but in her eyes now, he could see love.

She loved him back.

He moved his head closer and tilted his face, When his lips touched hers, he kissed her gently.

Elise had never been kissed before. At least that's what she thought. As soon as Loriel's moist lips touched hers, she felt something strange but pleasant coursing through her veins.

She loved the taste of his lips. It was almost sweet. His lips felt soft. She didn't know a man's lips could feel this way.

She liked his kiss.

Loriel touched the back of her head, to support her as he kissed her deeper. Since Elise seemed to enjoy his kiss, the man became more daring and decided to pull her into his embrace as he slid his tongue through her slightly open lips and explored the inside of her mouth.

Something in Elise felt awaken. She didn't know what it was, but somehow Loriel's touch and kisses felt awfully familiar.

Had she been keeping her desire for him, that unconsciously her body wanted him?

Elise didn't know what was going on. Her tongue and lips responded to his kiss out of instinct. She kissed him back, and soon both their tounges were twisting and dancing together.

Loriel was pleasantly surprised when he realized Elise responded to his kisses. Even though she didn't remember him mentally, but her body remembered him!

Her body responded to his affection in the same way. This was the woman he loved and married. This was his Elise!

This was how she kissed him when they made out and made love. Gosh.. he missed this so badly.

Tears started forming in his eyes as he peppered her face with kisses. He cupped her face and kissed her lips again. He could never have enough of her.

He only stopped when he realized she was getting out of breath. He withdrew his face and looked at her deeply. His eyes were gleaming with tears and he tried so hard not to cry in front of her.

Elise would be suspicious if he became so emotional just because she accepted his love.
