"Nobody knew...not even Madison that Lana was sick all along...all those months and a year before...she had made her brother swore to keep it a secret."

Kian explained it to her and a heavy gasp passed out of her mouth. Kian could see how disturbed she was and he was yet to drop the last and final bomb.

"She was undertaking the therapy but then things fell apart and her health got deteriorated...she had to be admitted in the hospital and now, only a possible transfer could heal her..."

Kian elaborated. Tinsley did not understand the things fall apart part.

"What did things fall apart?", she asked, being curious.

"Lana found out Madi cheating with her brother!"

"My sister is a fighter, doctor...she will make it through but we want your team's hundred per cent credibility. "

Lana smiled at her brother. She was the luckiest sister to have a brother like him who had been through so much for her.

"We assure you, Mr Kravinshky, I and my team will give our better than best!"

Mimi said and Madison got closer to draw Lana into her arms. She had hoped but did not think the Gods would listen to her so soon.

"In this happiest occasion after a month of sadness, I also would like to propose."

Madison declared, pulling away from Lana warm embrace. She got off from the bed and stood up straight.

Everyone looked at her, awaiting what proposal she was going to make. Lana's eyes were trained into hers and John was looking at them like a hawk.

"I m the worst match ever to come and say this to you but still...will you do the honor of marrying me Lana Delta Kravinshky?"

Madison proposed and it made Lana feel out of her body. She was not expecting such a thing from Madi in a moment like this.

"I know...I m not the perfect one for you..."

"No..no! Stop!! You do know the condition I m in right, Madi??"

Lana interrupted Madi even before she could say anything else.

"I do not care! I should have asked for your hand way before but I m doing it now...I do not care about the situation you are in...I do not!"

Madi declared and at that moment, both the women were conversing with each other as if there were no one around them in the cabin.

It took a moment for Lana to think. She did not know if it was the right thing to do...trapping Madi with her in a future that was very very uncertain at the time being.

She had already witnessed how Madi had gone crazy and did not leave her side ever since she had been admitted into the hospital.

She could see how much Madi loved her, cared for her and it made her afraid that what would happen to her if things turned the other way.

It had happened the other day though...she had seen it. She had to console her the entire day after her treatment and the rest of the night to let it go.

After the doctor had declared that she was not getting any better through the therapies, it had taken a toll over Madi's head.

She just did not want to take the opportunity of her love...her unconditional love.

What if she did not make it??

What would happen to her then??

It was that question that was eating Lana from inside.

After a person was dead, there was no regret or to be happy for that person bit the tragedy remained with those who were left to live on after the death.

What they would feel?? How they would be doing???

The dead person would never come to know.

It was all upon the ones who would be alive to witness the days and nights, that were to come in the future.

Lana knew that her brother would not be ok...but he would live on. He was a tough guy.

She had seen him care for her, taking over the family business when he was still young after their mother's death had broken their father's will to live.

But she was not sure about what and how Madison would react.

Over the days, she had gotten a hint that it would break Madison...although she knew that her being a strong woman would come back alive from this hurt but still...it would wound her badly.

And that was what concerned Lana. And now she was asking her to marry Madi...she did not know what to say to that.

If only if it were to happen before all of this...she would have jumped up and down saying yes, a million times!!

Yet they were here and she did not want to break Madi's heart denying the proposal or either marrying her and dying later to break her heart apart in the worst way possible.

Madi's eyes were looking into hers with so much expectation and hope...a hope that she would agree and accept...say yes to it!

Madi licked her lips as she could see how Lana was fighting a battle inside her head, deciding if or not she should say yes?? Or just leave her waiting for a possible reply?

She knew that even though Lana would not bring up the thing that happened before she got admitted to the hospital...she was aware of the fact that Lana knew it.

She had just chosen to leave it be and ignore it...as if it had never happened for she was not sure how long she was going to be alive at this point.

She did not want to die fighting and creating mountains between her brother and her girlfriend.

She wanted the both of them to be with her as she took her last breathe and only have happy memories together.

John had not thought that this would be the kind of proposal, Madison would be making in a situation like this.

He was not even himself sure what to do...how to feel about it.

Should he be happy for his sister??

Or should he be grieving that his beloved would be marrying someone that would be not him??

It was a dilemma...a very big one for the three of them together. And as the moments passed, time ticked away, seconds turned to minutes and more...a fear loomed in Madi's heart and so in his.

She did not by any account want Lana to scream out the betrayal right then...or for daring to throw a proposal like that when she had done her so dirty...

The two nurses, the doctor, all of them, the three included, awaited for Lana's answer very patiently.

"You know that..."

"I know what??"

Madi questioned, not understanding Lana's incomplete reply.

"You know my answer..."

Lana completed and Madison still eyed her cluelessness and confusion. She wanted a bold, clear and lucid answer.

"I do not...you need to say it out loud my love!"

Madison voiced out, although it was a mere whisper, John heard it. And his heart was thumping so hard...same as Madison's.

"It is a yes!!!... It will always be a big YES!!"

And a scream broke out from Madi's throat. The others clapped and the sounds faded in John's ears as he saw Madi launch herself up on Lana, cupping her face and slamming her lips against his sister's for a deep kiss.

It was a very emotional moment for both women. They were just oblivion to the other's presence as they kissed each other with the utmost love they both shared for each other.

The doctor and the nurses congratulated them both after their sweet kiss was over.

Lana was blushing furiously and Madi's soul was in a blast mode. She was so happy that she felt she would pop out of this worldly existence.

For once, she had thought that Lana would reject her proposal. Scream about her betrayal to her and humiliate her in front of all to dare and ask her hand after all she had done to her with her own damn brother.

When everyone left the room shortly, it was John, who remained standing in his position, frozen and unable to form any word in his throat.

It was thinking about him, made Madi look up at him and when their eyes matched...she saw it...

She saw the hurt, the redness, the cry of his heart right in his eyes. And she did not know what and how she should feel about it.

It was too late by then...she could not go to him anymore. Or wrap her arms around him to console him or be hurt for him either...

"Will you not congratulate us brother??"

Lama chirped, and it made John look at his sister, parting his eyes away from Madison.

"I m happy...indeed very happy for you...both of you!"

He said, smiling at Lana but his smile faltered upon looking at her. Shortly after, he excused himself off.
