"I can...and she is not yours. She is fucking mine!!"

Tinsley yelled the last part, getting annoyed.

"Then who fucked you if not me?? Who puts that baby in you? If not me?"

Kian argued and Tinsley did not exactly know how to answer that question from him. He eyed her, expecting an answer.

"It's not yours!"

It was what came out of her mouth and for a moment there, it made Kian think what if she had moved on...and the child was not his??

"I have taken onto the artificial insemination to get pregnant. "

"If she still could love you as you are...why can't you accept a part that would be hers too even if it's not yours...it would be hers!"

Madison concluded and Kian did not speak out one word at that moment. Their eyes bored into each other. There was nothing much left for Madi to talk about either.

"I m sorry!"

It was the first thing that came out of Kian's mouth, breaking the waves of the silence in a strike.

"I m sorry for Lana...I did not mean to..."

Kian had no intention of turning things the way they did.

Madison watched Lana sedated for her treatment from outside, through the glass compartment.

The treatments regularly were draining all her energy as her face had lost all her bright colours and the glow had long faded away, dark circles around her eyes, her lips dry all the time.

Madi always made sure to keep her hydrated and still it did not matter. John had gone crazy looking out for a possible donor.

The doctor was right in saying how it was difficult to find one that would be matching.

He had alerted all the agents in all the Richmond hospitals and out of the states, yet no luck so far.

But they were keeping their hopes up, wishing the treatments alone could make Lana better.

"Hey?!"

Madison turned around to see John, standing behind her. He was a bit late today. He always made sure to visit her during her morning therapies.

"Hey!"

Madison gave him a brief smile and then again parted her eyes off of him right away to focus her attention back on Lana.

"Your nana wants to come to visit you and Delta here."

John informed. He had been looking after the old woman as Madison spent all her time, nights and days in the hospital.

Madi took a deep breath. She knew how stubborn her nana could get with her demands. Ever since she grew old with age, she had become more childish.

"Is she asking for it often?"

She implored and John nodded. She knew that it was time, she gave a visit to her nana at home.

"Maybe you should visit her once?"

John proposed and Madi took that proposal because it made sense too.

"I'm thinking about it too!"

She said, still not looking at him and it always made him upset that she was still not over it.

That she still could not look him into his eyes after that day...the big revelation day.

Even though he should not, yet he could not help it in himself and craved to peek at her warm black eyes.

Even though by then he had come to accept the reality that they could never be together without feeling the guilt and the betrayal they had caused his sister...her lover.

It hurt him for losing all the hope of ever being with the woman he loved...the woman who would not even look into his eyes for a second.

"When will you go then?"

"Maybe after this?"

Madison presumed and John supported her, saying he could stay back for the time being.

"Sounds good! I will look after Lana until you are back!"

Madison thanked him and when Lana was out a few minutes later, after settling her in her canine.

Madison dropped a small kiss on her forehead and with one last glance, she left John with his sister, all alone, wondering where this was even going?

"I forgot my card at home!"

"I still can pay for two!"

Kian joked. And that made Tinsley more than infuriated. Seeing her red, he apologized right away.

"I was just kidding...I m still capable enough to pay for my wife!"

Kian said, softly. Tinsley looked away from his grey pairs, not wanting to get lost in those mysterious eyes.

"I do not like kidding!"

Tinsley firmly replied and Kian noted it down in his mind. It was something worth noting a change in her...she always loved jokes before.

"Why are you back again...after everything?"

And when all of a sudden, she dropped that question, he was taken back a bit because that was the whole point they were here for to talk about it.

She peeked at him as he was out of words, how to start, where to start from and when you begin, what to say...

When he was about to open his mouth, the waiter came by to drop the red wine and took his time, opening the bottle and pouring it into each of the flutes.

"Your orders would be up in a few minutes, sir, ma'am!"

He informed, gracefully and Tin nodded at him. When he was out, she shifted her attention back to the man, who was still due in giving her an answer.

Kian took a breath in and he knew that no matter, how much he would think or plan the words in his head, it would never come out right...so he decided to put it in simple terms.

"I want in...I want you back!"

And that provoked Tinsley to the point of no return. What did he think of her?? Did he take her like a fool?

She stood up as he awaited her response. The waiter chose that moment to come up with their ordered dishes.

He looked at her confused, for standing up.

"Thank you very much! But I m going to go now!"

She said to the waiter and directed the last few words to Kian, who stood up too and before she could flip around, he held her wrist.

"You are not leaving until you finish the food!"

He pressed and trained his eyes at hers. The waiter nervously and very awkwardly watched the duo.

"You can leave!"

Kian excused the waiter and the man was out like a light after serving then the food on their table.

"You cannot stop me!"

"Let's be civil and talk like adults!"

Kian proposed. He is no way wanted to force her into doing anything yet he could not help but be annoyed when she would behave like an untamed brat.

Looking around, seeing people watching them through the periphery of her eyes, she decided to cool down and take her sit back.

They both sat down in silence and used the fork to cut their steak without a word out.

"I want us to go back to what we were."

"But I m not!"

Tinsley replied, setting her fork and spoon down on the ceramic table. Kian had never seen her being so straightforward.

"We are still married."

Kian pointed out and she did not know how to address that fact. She really thought that they were divorced.

Even though she never thought that they would have ended like that yet when signing the papers, she could not help the ache in her heart then should she be elated to know that they were not.

"What do you want??... What do you want?"

Tinsley sighed, not understanding him at all...what did he want. Why was he all of a sudden after so many months?....why was he here?? Asking her back??

"I told you...I want you back like before!"

Kian said and continued, not giving her any moment to reply back.

"I know we have had it bad, gone through some dark phrases but I want us to be back like before...because this is our future and we can't deny it...neither can I..."

"My future is my daughter..."

Tinsley interrupted him and his composure changed altogether but he held himself back.

He knew what kind of a situation he was drowning himself into but it was obvious, he could not live without her.

"I know...and I want to accept it all..."

"But why??"

She could not help herself in questioning him at all.
