"I fucking can't...still do not know how I m breathing in the same room as her, every time this guilt... it's eating me away yet all I can think of is wanting to do it again...I just want to kill myself..."

And John held her fists, stopping her and pulling her close to his body, not letting her complete that word...he just could not let her...he could not imagine her dead...

He slammed her lips against hers, swallowing away her sobs of pain and ache that both their actions had caused her.

Madison felt at ease for letting out how truly she had been feeling about all these. He knew it now...it was out in the air...something she tried to keep it in herself for so long.

"I love you!"

She looked up at him, peeling her temple off from his. Her ears could not believe what she just heard.

A gasp left Lana's mouth. She enclosed her mouth with her hands from breaking loose on seeing what she was seeing.

Lana could not stand still as her hand knocked off the flower vase from the top, mistakenly when she tried to move out from there...not being able to breathe anymore.

John and Madi were broken up from their trance and looked up as the flower base fell, shattering to pieces...blown out to finally notice a tear strained Lana.

"Lana?"

A mewl left out of Madi's mouth, totally forgetting the fact that she had been here all these times in the same house where they were both arguing...screaming and shouting.

John was beyond shocked to see his sister. He did not what she might be thinking of him at the moment and it was heartbreaking to have broken her sister's, fragile heart.

"Lana? You...I ughh...he and I..."

Madison did not say what to say...she was stutteringly knowing that Lana had probably heard everything and that there was no way, she could know how to address the situation.

Lana was crying silently as she peeked at them the same way they were doing. They, of course, thought that she would never find out but here they were...the truth could not be hidden for so long.

"You have to believe me...I love you..."

And it was her breaking point. Lana could not bear it anymore of because she did not know if it were the truth or an utter massive lie at the point.

How could one person love two people at one??

She could not understand that logic at all. She did not bother standing there and looking at those two people...those two people, so close to her, whom she never thought would break her heart, harm her...yet ended up doing all that to her.

Madison never thought in her wildest dream that everything would be out like this in the air...she had always thought of letting it all out in a very decent manner.

When she tried to climb up the stairs and confront her, but Lana stopped her raising her hand up.

"Stop! Right there! "

Her eyes were tear strained and she held a venomous glare at Madison. She stopped right in her tracks.

"Don't you dare come near me!"

"Lana..."

"You do not dare utter my name through that fucking mouth..."

Lana snapped. She felt so betrayed and hurt. Madison knew that this day would come the moment she would have confessed the truth...but did not know it would be so dreadful.

"Delta...please listen.."

"Stop!"

Lana raised her hand up to shut her brother up. She could not bear to look at him at the moment.

She could not believe that he could stoop this low...this low to sleeping with her girlfriend?

"I cannot even think...I cannot see and think right..."

She spoke to herself, holding onto her chest as if her heart was hurting. It was paining from all the betrayal, from all the cheating...lies, her own people fed her up with.

"Never in my wildest dreams...never did I think..."

She let out a heavy sob and Madison did not know how she was holding herself upright, and not run-up to her, comfort her.

It was aching her to see Lana like that...so horrified from knowing the truth, terrified and betrayed.

She closed her eyes, holding onto the railing hard, trying to keep her balance. She felt like losing herself.

If Madi and her brother did not see her from that vase breaking down, she would have run-up to her bedroom and locked herself there.

But she had to be here, standing among those who had deceived her in all the way up...leaving no space at all.

It was at this time that John was worried about his sister's health. It had been a secret...she had urged to keep it as a secret for so long and he was afraid that she would lose it right at that time.

Madison had no idea how to confront her, what to say to her, with what face? She knew that she had messed up big times...she had ruined the only good in her life.

"Delta. I think you should go to bed..."

"Don't you dare pretend to carry for me..."

Lana snarled and Madi was clueless. But she could see it...see his pale Lana looked. Her face colour was fading away.

John did not bother listening to her anymore and pushed Madi aside, climbing up the stairs, Lana shouted for him to stay back, stepping backwards.

Madi was shocked and was blown away when from constant screaming and shouting, Lana lost her fit. She fell down on her brother's arms as he held her and strode towards the bedroom.

Madison rubbed her tears off and ran up to them after having her momentary breakdown.

She saw John laying Lana on the bed and was rummaging through all her drawers and cabinets.

Madison did not understand what he was searching for. She looked at Lana and went up to her side.

"What are you looking for?"

She asked. John stopped all his movements and closed his eyes, sighing. Maybe it was time, he told Madi everything about it.

It was because of this that he had sold Tinsley out to Kian. He could not compromise it with his sister's health.

"Lana is sick!"

He said and Madi remained silent, standing beside the bed listening to him in quietness.

"You will never tell her!"

Her voice rang inside his head as he was about to let it all out. He knew that by doing so, he was going to get more on the bad side with his sister than he could ever get.

She made him take a swear that he would not tell anyone. The sickness had been going on for over a year now and every treatment had really not caused any kind of improvement so far.

"She had stomach cancer!"

A loud gasp passed out of Madi's mouth. John turned back to look at her. His sister was peacefully sleeping on the bed after losing her consciousness.

She had been diagnosed way before and did multiple treatments. She had to leave her modelling career to get the chemotherapy done.

When she came across Madison, it was luck by chance. Never in her dream, Lana thought that they could be together again yet when it happened, she had asked her brother to not tell anyone about her sickness.

John was against it but when she requested him of the remaining few times she had, she wanted to live with Madison, being in love and happy.

John ended up narrating everything to Madison. How it had started and how all treatments were ongoing.

She had been lying to Madison about going to fashion shows, or modelling. She had been going to her treatment and therapy during those times.

And then it made sense to Madison why every time, she would urge to go with her to her fashion show, Lana would deny her saying that she was fine.

What hurts the most was, she was juggling between life and death and being with her when Madi ended all of it by cheating on her.

"It was why when Kian threatened me that he would show the photos to Delta...I ended up selling Tinsley out to him..."

He concluded. Madi did not say one word and kept her mouth shut.

"I know that it was selfish of me to do that...but I could not let Lana know what I did...what we did just like that in her condition..."

He looked down, shamed of himself...his action. His strength...so shallow for losing it and betraying his own little sister, his only family.

"Yet we ended hurting her!"

Madison deduced, looking up at him...into his eyes.
