THE CEO AND ME!

Chapter 163 - I M NOT HAPPY AS I SHOULD BE!

Extreme jealousy and rage were the only kinds of emotions she was feeling at the moment.

Watching your husband's hand around a stranger lady's waist as they talked business amongst other businessmen and women, being extremely close to each other.

Her grasp on the glass of champagne got tighter as she could not bear the sight unfolding before her and parted her eyes away before she would have a whole body and mental breakdown.

"It was bound to happen huh?"

She looked over at the owner of the voice and could not believe to see who it was.

Valeria took off her sunglasses. Her red lips gave a wicked smile to her daughter in law.

"In no time, Kian will see how unfit you are to be his wife. My nephew always had it in him and I knew that even though he lost it all to chose you, in the end, he came running back to the world he left to be with you....and where does it make you stand?"

Tinsley did not respond and continued to stare at Valeria. She could not perceive the reality anymore that how come even Valeria Wilson was here....who did invite her here??

"Live your life till you get to sleep on his bed because soon enough you will be replaced with her..."

Valeria said, pointing her forefinger at Thea, laughing away at something, Kian rubbing her back to soothe her down.

"...the rightful woman to be a Randall!"

Tinsley curled her pain in a fist and tried to unheard everything that Valeria infected her mind with and left the middle-aged evil woman there to rot in all her hatred towards Tinsley.

Tin made her way back in the restroom and could not entertain the crowd anymore.

She never was a fan of the spotlight or being the centre of attention. Living this extravagant life of glamour and fame.

Her mother always used to scold her to succumb to it. She would always tell her that this was her whole life.

And when for a second in the past, when Kian and her left the city and started living like the normal husband and wife...she had thought that luckily she had escaped that endless cycle that her mother and her grandmother had to live in.

But then, sitting in the lavish hotel's restroom, she was back again in that life.

She did not know whether to be happy or cherish that finally, her husband had succeeded in something, he had always wanted.

Should not she be the good wife and lover and be happy in her husband's happiness??

Would it make her the bad one to not being able to feel the happiness which she was supposed to have felt?

The door opened and in came Lana, her shoulder slumped down and took a seat beside Tin.

"I feel so tired and suffocated by it all."

Lana said, leaning on the leather sofa. Tina tilted her head to peek at her.

"Finally, she is happy! That's what she had always wanted, you know!"

Lana remarked, pointing it to Madison. Her girlfriend's happiness knew no bounds.

Madison liked being in power, controlling the situations and being at the top.

Working with Kian and the Wilson Corp had changed her and she could not come back to accept a life that lacked her being working for the topmost corporate person.

"It's not like I m not happy for her...I actually M, you know considering the hard work she had put through in bringing Kian back to where he was...Kian only worked the model out, she looked out for the architecture to build it, investors to invest in, finding viable markets for it to sell...working as the middle person is never easy... it's even harder than the topmost person for whom the work is being done..."

Lana went on. It all made sense how much she appreciated Madison's work. She really did but even though she could not bring in it herself to be happy the same way.

"...but all of this would mean, more work and work and I feel like our past will repeat again and I won't be even able to do anything...the past where we did not last!"

She concluded, sadly. It had been this reason...that Madison's nature would always make her choose work even before everything and anyone and Lana was not ready to go through that disappointment again.

"I m not happy either..."

Tinsley mumbled out and that made Lana look at her, with questioning eyes.

She could not perceive why would this not make Tinsley happy?? Her husband finally succeeded back and she was not happy??

It did not make sense to Lana at all that she sat upright, focusing her eyes on Tin.

"I have been born to this life of spotlight and glamour, having everything but the complexity of it that I could not be what I want to be always pierced me throughout my entire life...even though I had not any option but to accept it."

She was for the very first time, opening up to someone about how she had felt like her entire life when outsiders viewed her as the lucky one, having it all and did not have to worry about anything.

"When I got married to Kian due to situations and it led us to that town...it would be so cruel and selfish of me to say, I was finally happy to live like the normal people...with no worries about what dress I should wear the other day, my posture, if I had eaten too much, my figure, maintaining the doll face...being the face of my family's dignity."

Tin rubbed away the tear that poured out of her eyes. She could see her life flashing before her simultaneously as she described about it.

"I felt alive...a chance to be myself when I was in that small apartment with my husband, nobody to judge if I had not walked straight or if my belly was not that flat...and now I m back here at it again and have to look the part as perfectly as I could in order not to embarrass him."

Lana felt the intensity of the feeling of dissatisfaction and how much Tin was afraid of transitioning back to a phase of life, she always dreamt of escaping.

"How could it make me happy, Lana??

And the way, I ruined things a while ago and the dejected face he made, walking away from me...I don't even know if this time, I could do it...back then I had my mother to guide me through it if I did anything out of order."

Tin closed her eyes, sighing, missing her mother even when Marshally could never stand up for her when her father and all the men in the family suppressed her feminity down, putting in its place the one they wanted her to see in.

"I love him...I love him so much...I have loved him ever since we were kids and it hurts when he feels low because of me...knowing I m the reason behind it all...behind everything!"

Tinsley remarked, recalling how one truth that Valeria claimed she knew could ruin everything for her with Kian and she was back in their life for good.

"Well then friend, you are not the only one to be feeling like that...I m exactly where you think you are."

Lana held Tin's hand in hers, rubbing the back with her palm trying to warm her up, giving comfort.

"The only reality that makes me question myself as if it makes us selfish for not being happy in their happiness, the way we should be?"

Lana shrugged her own question off, not knowing the answer to it by then. Tinsley did not respond either, not knowing it either.

"Only time could tell, Tinsley that if this time would end up being the same one in the past and we can't do in the meantime but to suck it up and get up, go and stand beside the ones we love, beyond everything and everyone."

Tinsley nodded, understanding Lana's words. They both shared a hug, in silence, finding comfort in each other arms and then Lana got up.

She straightened her bodycon orange dress and applied lipstick back on her lips, getting ready to get back on the party again.

"So I m going to go and stand beside her, and pretend to understand even when I could understand nothing of business...the last thing is I m going to sue my brother for throwing this party!"

Lana complained and that made Tinsley laugh. It was always a sight to see how John would have to give in to every demand of his little sister.

Right after Lana left, Tin stood up too to get back on the other side. But then the door hung opened and in came the one woman...that Tinsley felt threatened of for her marriage.
