THE CEO AND ME!

Chapter 119 - "ITS NOT A GIRL!!!"

Madison chewed on her gum as she waited patiently for the beautician to manicure her nails.

It had been a long time since she went to the parlour to pamper herself. With the company crisis, everything had been a mess ever since.

She had enough savings to go for a world tour, buy a few stocks from the major shareholder in the stock market and whatnot.

Kian always paid her so generously. The regular income added with the bonus, by the end of the year, she would end up with half a million.

Yes, she had got lucky to be recruited by the Wilson Co and she did not regret one-bit resigning from the post either because it was only because of Kian, she had gotten all that bonuses.

Sooner enough he would build his own empire back. She trusted his business tactic, how his mind worked, she had seen him work for fifteen long years so she knew what he was capable of.

And this time, she wanted to contribute too in his empire-building so going to this date and impressing John Kravinshky was important.

He was the week's top ten billionaires and could be a major investor in their new company if everything went correctly.

She whistled, running her eyes over the dresses in the showroom, trying to choose a dress for her that was classy and eye-catching at the same time.

Having as many investors as right now was necessary for an immediate market approach so that the moment Kian figured out what he wanted to sell, there would be enough money to make it and sell it.

After getting rejected by ten major investors, she did not want to lose this one. And by the looks of John and the way he said, he had eyes for her, she wanted to make use of that in her advantage.

So she was putting some effort into getting ready for the evening. She halted in her steps when she saw the satin red dress, with straps, knee-length.

"It's the autumn collection of Chanel."

The worker, near her, commented. Madi smiled and asked her to get this in her cart.

The dress cost a whopping five thousand dollars and she bought it only because she looked too good in it. She could not leave it behind.

After a long day of shopping, she got home and checked her phone once again if Tinsley had replied to her texts or not.

She huffed in annoyance when she saw there was no reply, nothing, and from her side.

They had kind of became friends ever since she started driving Tinsley back to her home in the evening after her cooking lesson with Anna Maria.

They would talk about stuff that Madi never conversed with anyone. She could have made lots of friends in the Wilson Co but everyone there was jealous of how she got to work with the hot boss and how close they were.

The busy schedule too made it not so possible for her to mingle with the other employees and it sucked whenever Kian went on lunch dates and she had no one to lunch with.

Even though it was not a major issue as most of the time, she drove him to the luncheon spot and had lunch together with his business associates.

With Tinsley, she could finally feel why people say everyone needed a friend in their life.

She was feeling a bit off for a few days as her conversations with Tinsley had been limited. Tinsley took a break from the cooking lessons.

So they did not see each other. She could listen to her texts of how much happy she was with Kian and that made Madi happy to know that they were working their differences out.

It would make her reminded of Lana Del and turn her mood sour. Wish...she wished if they could have worked their differences too.

Maybe then she would have been pregnant with their child by now. Oh!! How life would then be??

She thought, sighing. Ever since how things ended with Lana, she had not been so lucky in her love life.

Not like she did not get suiters, there were many but most of them were males and they did not know she was into females.

Like tonight, John had no idea she was into women and still was getting ready for the date.

She kind of felt bad for deceiving him for her benefit but she was helpless here.

She needed at least one investor by the end of this month on their side so that whenever Kian would need one, they would not have to delay any time for looking it in that time.

She did a background check on John and he seemed like a decent guy. His reputation was not that of a saint but well better than most of New York's playboy billionaire.

She applied the last stroke of red lipstick on her lips and rubbed her lips together, staring into her reflection in the mirror.

And she was ready to go. Her hair was tied in a simple bun, no earring, no necklace, just the dress which made her look so elegant.

She kept her makeup minimal, not trying to give a hint to John that she had put an effort into getting ready for the evening.

"You are off to somewhere??"

Madison turned back to see her nana, standing by the threshold of the door, glancing at her granddaughter in adoration.

"Yes, on a date!"

Madison replied, smiling and Anna Maria walked inside with a joyous face to have a good look at her granddaughter.

"So who is this beautiful girl to steal my Madi's heart?"

Anna Maria implored, waiting for answers from Madi's side.

Madi's smile fell off from her face as she thought of how to declare the news that she was going out with a man, not a woman.

"It's... it's not a girl, nana...a man, actually."

She concluded, shaking her head, in the beginning, making Anna Maria narrow her eyes.
