The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home

Chapter 416

Chapter 416: Did You See a Ghost?

He stared at Yao Tang for a long time, wanting to slap himself on the head.

How was he supposed to know that he’d catch her on the spot like this?

If Yao Tang would go out now, then she’d be seen by him almost immediately!

His voice was growing louder by the second, and at this point, he didn’t have much of a choice anymore. He needed to make sure that they both don’t get caught.

Principal Kong pulled the cabinet door open. “Hide in here first!” he said anxiously. “If he finds out we’re both here, then we’d both be finished.”

However, he didn’t hear a response after that.

He was just about to urge Yao Tang to go inside the closet when the knock came from the door. Before he could react, the door was pushed open and an energetic man stepped inside.

“Principal Kong!”

It was already too late.

He was doomed!

What was he going to do now?

“You’re here…”

His voice was trembling.

How was he going to explain Yao Tang’s appearance in his office? Should he apologize about this matter? How was he going to ask for his forgiveness?

Was he going to be fired?

However, Director Guan didn’t look outraged. Instead, he furrowed his eyebrows at him. “What’s wrong with you?” he demanded. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost. Shouldn’t you be welcoming me inside?”

Principal Kong was stunned.

When he looked at his expression again, he couldn’t help but feel as if Director Guan was puzzled by his reaction—as if he didn’t get why he was acting like that.

Principal Kong felt his hands trembling. Was this a trick question?

However, when he turned his head to look at the side, where Yao Tang was supposed to be standing, he saw absolutely no one. The office was empty, except for them.

There wasn’t a single trace of the student!

Were his eyes playing tricks on him? He glanced at the fluttering curtains before his eyes widened in surprise.

Had he closed the windows earlier?

His heart raced in his chest as he looked from side to side. Even then, there was still no sight of the young student. His fingernails dug deeper into his palms.

Where was Yao Tang?

Just then, his phone vibrated.

He opened his phone to see a message from Yao Tang. “I’m safe.”

He heaved a sigh of relief.

“What’s wrong with you?” Director Guan scoffed. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost. Is this a bad time?”

As he spoke, the old man turned his gaze to the cabinet right behind him, his eyes filling with curiosity. He took a step closer before glancing at him.

“I’m fine,” he quickly replied. “Why are you here?”

He pretended as if nothing had happened.

“I heard that Yao Tang had come over. Have you happened to see her?”

As soon as these words were said, Principal Kong’s heart sped in his chest and beads of sweat trickled down his forehead. While he appeared nervous, his face didn’t show an ounce of emotion.

Director Guan didn’t say anything.

“That’s funny. Why don’t you take a seat?” Principal Kong forced a smile.

They sat there until noon, talking about anything under the sun.

Yao Tang didn’t go back to the classroom until she had received Principal Kong’s confirmation that he had already left.

Zhang Dong had also been waiting to tell Yao Tangthat the President of the Sport Association was coming over, but he didn’t expect that Yao Tangwas hiding out the entire time.

It was only in the afternoon when she returned.

As soon as the class had ended, Yang Nian walked up to Yao Tang’s desk. His eyes were light, and his smile was warm. “Do you mind coming out for a moment? I have something I wanted to talk to you about.”

He knocked on the desk lightly. There was a small smile on his face, and he looked quite gentle.

Yao Tang looked up to see his gentle smile.
