The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home

Chapter 385

Chapter 385: A Good Relationship with Yao Tang

“I’ve already told you once, and I’m going to say it again,” Old Madam Yao snapped. “Yao Tangis my granddaughter. She has always been my granddaughter. Nobody’s going to take her place.”

Without another word, she stomped out of the room.

Yao Ran, who had heard everything, quickly ran to the corner—hiding from her view.

Qin Man gritted her teeth anxiously. “What should we do? She obviously isn’t going to back out that easily, and there’s nothing we can do to change her mind.”

Just then a thought crossed her mind, and she hurriedly added, “I don’t care what happens. I’m not going to hand over this opportunity to that brat! It’s Ranran or nothing!”

Grandma Yao has an incredibly good relationship with the Yang Family. As long as she’d talk to them, it wouldn’t take long for them to agree on another marriage alliance. She wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

Yao Yuan exhaled. “Didn’t she already say it? If Yao Tangdoesn’t want it—”

She frowned.

How could Yao Tang not want this?

They were talking about the Yang Family from Jing City—not some ordinary small-town family! Yang Nian was practically a dragon among men. Who wouldn’t want him?

“She wouldn’t let it go this easily.”

Yao Yuan frowned.

“Then we’ll have to find another solution,” he stated. “I’m sure she wouldn’t be too difficult to handle.”

“Wouldn’t be too difficult to handle?” Qin Man sneered. “Have you seen the way she treated us? She hasn’t done one good thing—”

“Stop it.” Yao Yuan’s eyes turned cold. “If you hadn’t treated her so badly from the start, then perhaps, she wouldn’t have treated you this way. You’re the reason why we’re in this mess.”

He couldn’t help but be reminded by all of their atrocities.

If Qin Man hadn’t been so biased against Yao Tang, then she wouldn’t have to move out of their home.

If she had simply stayed at their home from the start, then perhaps, they wouldn’t have had so many problems.

Qin Man scowled. “You act as if I’m the only one who has ever treated her this badly. Weren’t you also biased back then? You didn’t even stop her when she had moved right out of the house! You’re blaming me, but you’re also at fault!”

Yao Yuan clenched his fists.

“At least I didn’t treat her as excessive as you,” he snapped. “Besides, I’m not thinking of Ranran all the time.”

She was about to snap back at him when he grabbed his suit jacket.

“I have another meeting I need to attend. You can head home without me.”

However, just as he was about to leave, he stated, “I’ll tell you again. You have to get along with her. If you continue to let your relationship with her deteriorate, you’ll find it even more difficult to deal with her in the future.”

He continued, “Even if you didn’t think Yao Tang’s important, you’ve already seen the facts in plain view. She could affect Ranran’s marriage. If you don’t want to think about Yao Tang, then think of Ranran.”

Yao Yuan’s voice was devoid of any emotion.

Qin Man wanted to go over and hold him back, but it was already too late. Yao Yuan had already opened the door and strode right out. She clenched her fists. No!

The older woman collapsed onto the ground, shoving her face into her hands.

She had been thinking of her family this entire time. All she ever wanted was for Ranran to live a good life and hope that the Yao Familycould prosper alongside her.

How was it her fault?

How was any of this her fault?

Just the thought of building a good relationship with that brat was enough to make Qin Man feel uncomfortable. She gazed at the door for a long time, not wanting to give up.
